They have some hot salsas which I love. My daughter loves their bean burrito & veggie burrito. So far, everything I have tried, I have loved. Very generous servings. Small indoor seating, but lots of patio seating with heat lamps & umbrellas. They often have DJ or Mariachis...lots of fun & super relaxing hanging out on the patio. The prices are great. I gave this place three stars because of the long wait for our Tacos. By the time everything came we had been there about an hour. The food was great, but some stuff just seems cold due to us waiting so long. If you want good micheladas this defiantly is the place to be. I would rate them 5 stars if it was just them. The parking lot is crammed and it's an accident waiting to happen. The restaurant is pack, which contributes to the wait times, also the restrooms are in the back in a shack, they do not have any AC so it's hot in their and a little smelly. We went there another time and experienced the same with the wait times for our food. When we got home some of our food was a little soggy and cold again. Poor customer stormer services. So disappointed with the people that check in customers. I was on the wait list they called to tell me my table was ready from a non listed number in Lakewood before I could answer they hung up. I assumed it was Mr Taco. I walked up to check in 3 minutes later and they scratched me off of list already. We spoke about it they said next table available was mine. The next two names came up my name wasn't called. Spoke to the employee again he looked at me like he didn't know who I was. After that he came out and told me he could put me at the end of the list. Best thing he could do. Visited this place for the first time yesterday for "Taco Tuesday ", (probably the last). Everything was going good until I went to blow a smoke in the back, when I noticed an employee pull a trash can from the restuarant to store it in a small room, what seemed to be trash or Recyclables?The Employee came out of a back door possibly the kitchen wearing a white apron,and gloves, however he immediately went to go grab a basket of Fruits? Or Veggies? I don't know but it was sometime type of food again wearing the same gloves he pulled trash can!!! There after he went straight to the kitchen? Is this why you guys Have a GRADE B? I have been eating here about 3 times a month for about a year now. As they have gotten more popular, I think the quality of food has declined a little bit, that is why I didn't give them 5 stars. However, they get 5 stars for their micheladas they serve. They have a secret recipe for the mix they use... it is all made in house. So you buy a regular beer in a bottle and then order it micheladas style and then they give you the mix in a frozen glass... YUM! They recently remodeled their seating area so there are a few less seats to sit. When you visit, you must order your food first then try to find a seat. If you go at dinner time or on the weekend, you could be standing when they try to deliver your food. Wish the seating situation was better. Also, try parking at the McDonald's and walk over to the restaurant... that way you don't have to worry about their funky parking lot or someone double parking which makes it hard to pull out. read more

Thought the setup was weird at first with the walk up ordering and was going to leave but was checking out the food and it looked awesome so decided to give it a try. Ordered the taco lunch special - shrimp and carne asada tacos which were really good. Came with a large side of beans and rice which were really good all for less than $7. Atmosphere was cool. Sat outside in the back at the high top tables by the TVs. Only negative feedback is that on occasion the music was WAY too loud and at times they played gangsta rap music with cuss words (f bombs) which didn't seem appropriate given it was noon on a Monday and little kids were present. Regardless will be back, probably not with the kids but the food was excellent and enjoyed watching the traffic on Alabama (mostly because I wasn't stuck in it!) read more

Have always driven by this place and decided to have lunch there. I ordered the Mr. Taco salad with grilled chicken. They offer many meat options (more than I've ever been offered at most Mexican restaurants). It comes with rice, pinto beans, cheese, guacamole and sour cream (no extra charge), and lettuce, and it all sits inside a fried tortilla shell. It's not the biggest salad, so if you have a rather large appetite, you may want to opt for something like their nachos which looks very hearty, but my Mr. Taco salad was a great dish and was very satisfying. Been here a few time before and it's been ok. I usually order tacos. This last time we ordered to go and there was a hair in our torta. We called and they asked us to bring it back so we did, expecting our money back but no they wanted to replace it but after eating for with someone's hair in it we definitely did not want anything from there. They said since it was "half eaten" (the box it came in was still full of half fried fries and the bigger half of the torta I ate about 1/4 of it before seeing the hair) they couldn't give me back my money. Fun place with good food. The prices are a bit high but the food was good. The beers come in a large gaucho size and have a salted rim and some lime juice. We had lengua tacos. Deliciosa. The fish taco has a spicy chipotle cream sauce which was great. The shrimp taco is grilled and has a pico sauce very nice. The only non taco we ordered was chili verde plate. Best Mexican food I've had in a long time! The chicken taquitos were amazing! Fresh cooked chicken so flavorful and juicy. The guacamole is fresh made and Devine. Worth some bells, but not all the whistles. Honestly I was surprised at the price...extremely affordable. The menu includes typical Mexican food choices. We came for dinner for a family of four and spent $34 which is not too shabby. I got the small mr. Nachos with carne asada on the side and 1 fish taco. My husband got the carne asada plate, the kids shared a torta with French fries. My nacho plate was fine, but it's nacho plate...enough said. The fish taco was the worst I've ever had, took one bite left it. My daughter liked her half of the torta and fires and my some did not like the torta...could have been because we forgot to ask them to hold the guacamole. My husband said the carne asada plate was okay, nothing special and he's had better. Cooks, he said it was overlooked. Ambience...we sat outside and I enjoyed it on a warm summer night. The customer service was odd at first. The cashier told me the register would not let her put the carne asada on the side...I suggested asking the cook. That fixed that. The mark of an excellent Mexican restaurant for me are the shrimp tacos. And man are they good here. I am a huge fan of the chips and salsa bar, and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely not a quiet environment so not great if you want to have a conversation. Loud music and loud people but fun place. I took off a star because they forgot my tacos three times and I had to wait 40 minutes for them and ask multiple different people where they were, so that was annoying. Went to Mr. Taco on 2/26/19 for lunch with my girls. The inside was small and tight. While in line some employee I guess was off that day came in with their baby. Took up a table to put the babies carrier on. Almost all the works came from the back to see the baby. One lady was ordering fresh fruits the employee put on a glove to get the fruit BUT instead of using the spoon that was in each fruit she just used one spoon for all the fruits. Forgetting the fact someone could be allergic too a certain fruit now you have contaminated all the fruits and the lady that was ordering was all behind the counter with the employee pointing and telling her what she wanted. She wasn't behind the protective glass. We ordered our food one got the 2 taco lunch plate, one got the 2 fish taco plate and I got nachos really wanted to try the fish taco so I got one of those too. The girls enjoyed the food now me not so much. The fish was so tiny like they was scared for you to try the fried fish you had more slaw and shell then fish. Fish was a little fishy. I won't get it again. The nachos was burned so I left hungry and they where hiding the straws for the soda WTH??? Back yo the nachos I had more grease then anything once I started trying to eat. I've always had a good experience when coming to this place up until tonight. The supervisor (so he claimed) David (gentleman behind the bar) was the worst employee and first and only bad experience I've had there. His approach was very rude when taking my drink order. When I told him I wanted the budlight mango beer with the glass that includes the mango pieces already inside, and tajin on the rim of the glass, he tried to charge me an additional $2.00 for the mango and I kindly corrected him and told him that's not correct because I always get this drink and its approximately $8-$9 not $16 with a charge of mango. He was like well tell me who told you that. Very rude and argumentative. So I pulled up yelp to show him the picture of the drink that I was describing and he was like well either way is not $8, it's $9 and we don't have anymore of that beer (how convienent). He tried to make it seem like it was a whole different drink then what I told him when it wasn't. To top it off he was trying to charge me extra. His whole approach was rude and unprofessional especially as a supervisor. Instead of apologizing for his mistake in trying to charge me extra and being rude, he wanted to argue with me. I decided to not spend my money on a drink given his attitude. David needs a class in customer service and manners. And for that I had to take the rating down. Any other day I've visted, other employees were very polite. There's always the one who ruins it and gets the business these kind of ratings.
