So went with a couple of friends for taco Tuesday. I had high hopes for this place. So we stand in line and place our orders. I placed my order first, but wasn't concerned when the other 2 people I was with got their food first, (approx. 10 minutes after they ordered), I figured maybe mine might take a little longer to make. However, after 15 more minutes go by I inquire. I was told she would check and be right back. Another 10 minutes go by, the lady I asked has walked by me 4 times during this 10 minutes and never so much as looked at me, nor gave me the status of my order, so I go to the register to inquire. The lady at the register looks irritated that I asked, but she wasn't out and out rude about it, they were really busy, so I get it. She checks and tells me they made a mistake on my order and had to remake it. What mistake? I ordered a shrimp taco plate, how hard is that??!!! What mistake takes half an hour to fix? I've cooked shrimp before, it doesn't take 30 minutes! I go back to my table and wait yet another 10 minutes. The lady who never checked on my order the first time I asked walks by and says, "oh you haven't got your food yet?" At this point, I am trying hard to be gracious, and simply reply, "no". She said she would check. Well another 5 minutes, finally my order! Now, my friends are done with their meals (for a while now) and have to sit and watch me eat. Then the lady walks up and says here's a taco on me. WTH??? I don't want the taco, how about a discount on my meal, a coupon for a future visit or better yet a dang apology for the whole mix up in the first place???? But I didn't say any of that, I simply said thanks. I shouldn't have to say all that, ever heard of customer service? Now, on to the food, It was o.k. That's it, just o.k., not good, not bad, just o.k. Maybe could have overlooked the wait if the food had been better, but probably not. The atmosphere was cool. Good place to sit & have a beer maybe, just so long as you don't want to eat. So there you go, service 0 stars, atmosphere 4 stars, food 2.5 stars, thus my 2 star rating. Needless to say I won't be back. There are too many places with good atmosphere, better food and better service in the area to choose from. read more

Omg. New favorite spot. Had a delicious mid- day lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place was full and the environment was lively. We moved to to the I.E from central California recently and had been severely disappointed by the lack of traditional, delicious and authentic Mexican food. We don't have to look any further, we found our spot. We ordered 2 carne asada tacos, surf n turf burrito, (huge)carne asada fries, one red beer and a soda. They have a self service chips and salsa bar with an array of salsas green,red,pico,fire roasted,napolitos-the chips are bomb too. Now, I am super picky when it comes to a red beer it's my favorite, and they were spot on, flavorful, spicy. The food came out and was hot, delicious and so-so good. Huge portions, we couldn't finish any of our food and ended up taking it all home. For 40.00 we left stuffed and super impressed. This is a definant go back. Highly recommended. read more

Came here today Sunday and all I can say is that this taco shop that is well known disappointed me today. I didn't even get my order until we called them out on giving it to someone else (which was what happened). My whole party got theirs and I waited patiently for mine. I have them the benefit of the doubt by waiting an additional 30min (after the first 45 min it took for them to serve my party). Asked them about my order and they found out they served it to someone else. How does that happen? My order number is literally on the screen they read AND with my party's. They also said they had 3 services (orders) ahead of ours. Waited 30 minutes and STILL they said 3 services. Terrible. Came here today for Memorial Day and it was super packed... U know the food is good when their parking lot is completely full. We ordered the loco fries, fajita plate, and Michelada (modelo beer base). Overall I'm very pleased with the food. Large portions that can feed 2 people each dish. We had quesadillas & tacos. Food was not great. They do offer a vast alcoholic beverage menu which looked good. We were not able to order because we were returning to work. 3 strikes and you're out. I work nearby so I've been coming here for a while. Over the last few months it has gone downhill. A couple of months ago I called in an order to pick up. Arrived and had to wait in line for 20 mins to pay and then wait for my order to be found. Mind you, I was taking a 30 min lunch that day. Get back to work and my battered fish tacos (which is are usually AMAZING) were soggy and overcooked. I chalked it up to the new To Go packing as they used to give carry out orders in a Styrofoam container and now they wrap them in foil and toss them in a plastic bag. Decided it was an off day and went back a couple of weeks later. Waited in line for 25 mins while there was only 1 cashier at 1:00 in the afternoon and since there were still 5 people ahead of me, I gave up and went somewhere else. Went today to grab a nice lunch with my boyfriend and we ordered fish tacos, a side of fries, an order of strawberries and cream, and 2 drinks. They forgot our fries and the strawberries and cream, and also tried to give us only 1 drink. When our waitress brought our tacos, we reminded her that we had an order of fries and strawberries and cream and she just smiled as if to acknowledge she would be on the lookout for it to be ready. It became obvious that she just couldn't hear us because the music is SO LOUD that you can't even carry on a conversation with the people at your own table. My boyfriend had to go in and show our receipt and they said they never put the fries on the order so we'd have to pay for them and then said we were supposed to get the strawberries and cream ourselves. WTF? How were we supposed to know this? I've never been to a restaurant where customers are allowed to just walk behind the counter and serve themselves whatever they choose. During our meal, I noticed that the bar has been "remodeled" and they've taken down what was a nice looking, useful patio cover that used to have tv screens on it which showed various sporting events. Now there are a bunch of mismatched umbrellas, making it look low rent. There are fans attached to various fence posts but NONE of them are on and it was 100 degrees out. Some guy was working in the bar area climbing a ladder into the plywood ceiling (seriously... not painted and looked like the inside of someone's garage... likely not even up to proper code) and he comes down and his shirt is covered in sweat while he walks around behind the bar. Talk about almost making you lose your appetite. There is a serious over-enthusiasm with the signage about age restrictions and not serving those who appear intoxicated and shirt/shoes required, etc. It's apparent that the owner's new focus has shifted from being what was once a great restaurant, to turning it into a bar. Yes, their micheladas are great, but the place always looks packed because it takes forever to place your order and even longer to get your food, even if you call ahead. I also saw NONE of the staff I used to see there all the time. Guess the friendly employees have all bailed and you know what they say about rats fleeing a ship. There are plenty of other restaurants around there, several with great options for tacos (Chronic Tacos opening soon just a mile or so away!). Sadly, I won't be back here. I gave it 3 visits to prove they were just having a bad day and they're just having a bad business. I'll likely give the Riverside one my business since I hear from friends that it's still maintained standards. read more

So we have seen the place off the 10 Fwy, thought we would give a try. We ordered a garbage burrito $8.99 and I order fish tacos with rice and beans, but the girl at the register wasn't listening I only got two fish tacos, I'm Latino and husband Irish, Italian. His burrito was big but full of lots of rice, very little meat, and the meat was small pieces and hard. Little beans in a burrito time frame to get was so fast it was unreal. We know why it was probably sitting awhile and premade earlier in the day. My fish tacos were ok more cut tomatoes, onions, cilantro. Less fish. We ate inside and it wasn't kept to clean. Came here on a date to have nachos and Micheladas, but was left questioning the location. I had the wet burrito and my date had the nachos, while we both got micheladas to drink. The wet burrito was decent enough to enjoy. The chilli they put on top was a little bland, but with the guacamole and sour cream it was hardly noticeable. My date had the nachos which she got the "small" or "regular" size, and couldn't even finish them. I tried them myself and tasted like regular nachos (in my opinion). She thought they were good enough to eat, obviously, but said she wasn't sure if she would return to the location. The micheladas were decent, until you got to the half way point of your glass, then they became unbearable. It just got too strong for us towards the bottom of the glasses. While the first couple drinks were great, the rest of it was disappointing for me considering I had read some reviews on yelp about their micheladas (which is why we went here). The seating arrangement is self seating, basically first come-first serve basis. You get there at a good time, you get a good seat. You get there when its busy, then you're stuck sitting in the sun. I was living in Redlands in a Airbnb and me and my gf would always pass this place. It was always packed always and we just knew we had to stop by one day and try it. So one evening we did just that. We went in a tried the tacos and some other items. The tacos were underwhelming I thought they were going to be amazing as hell and they weren't. They were dry I was sick they weren't fire like I thought they would be. But the angus Fresca was fire. And the margarita that my girlfriend got was really good. I saw some other items that looked better then what I had got. So maybe I should of gotten something else. The wings are solid though I endnotes them. And the salsa especially the verde was good.
