I ordered my tires online via tirebuyer which then gives you the option of having them shipped to your home or to a Mr. Tire location. I knew coming in here that the shop didn't have the best reviews, however, we all know that most people will gladly take the time to complain over giving useful feedback so I decided to give them a shot. Fred and Tia in the front of the shop were very friendly and courteous. Of course I know it is their job to try to upsell other services, but given the reviews, I just wanted my tires mounted and balanced and was uncertain about having additional services completed. My main feedback concerns surround the fact that ownership doesn't do more to improve this location (basic repairs), the safety of their employees and customers, and ultimately employee morale. I have attached pictures for reference. I had to be sure my seat wasn't under a potential falling ceiling panel but thankfully they did have somewhere for me to sit and wait. The employees try to make the best of what they have to work with so I have no issues with them. Additionally, they treated me with kindness and respect. Overall, driving my vehicle home, there did not seem to be any mechanical issues, so I am satisfied with the specific tire service provided. read more

Horrible Horrible experience. My son went for a simple oil change and to our surprise, the technician didn't seat the "O ring" correctly causing damage and creating a huge leak. We had no idea the damage that was done, my son drives away thinking everything was okay. He arrives home and shortly after decides to go to the store. I see a huge puddle underneath his car. I know it can't be safe to drive. Of course at the time we noticed, Mr Tire was already closed. I had to call a tow truck and get it towed to the dealership. The service department at Toyota advised us that the dipstick was dry and there was no oil left. We had to pay for a degreaser for the under carriage and an oil change. The tech didn't place the O ring on correctly causing all the oil to leak out. You would think we went through enough, called Robert the store manager and explained what happen, sent him numerous emails with pictures. He said he would get on it and get our refund back for the oil change. Can you believe it, we are sitting with no refund and several attempts talking to multiple managers and still don't have our money back from a poor service that was done in April 2026. It is June 26, 2026. Absolutely unacceptable!!!! Please be aware of this place, they don't know what they're doing and their customer service sucks!!!!!! Tried to come in for a car diagnosis for possible suspension issues that may also be balancing or tire issues. Came in as told to and they sent someone else out who gave their unsolicited opinion (in a condescending tone) on my car rather than even looking or testing anything then told me "we don't do that" and that they couldn't help me. read more

Needed a tire valve stem replaced. First call rang for a minute or so, was picked up, then they hung up on me. I figured it might've been a mistake, gave it a minute, and called again. This time it rang for a few minutes before someone picked up. I told them what I needed, but they didn't seem to be paying attention. It was very loud, lots of tool use made it very difficult to hear, and after a long pause he finally said, "just a sec". I was on hold for almost 10 minutes before giving up. JM Tire Depot Express got it done in half an hour for $40. It's just a standard valve stem so I'll need to replace it with a sensor but it's all I need right now. My advice go to not even bother with this location, try JM. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. There are much better alternatives in the area. Brought my car in for one issue; when I got it back, my brakes, which were working fine beforehand, were almost non existent. Brakes will start to ring when they begin to go bad and if you wait, more parts break and you get grinding before a dangerous accident may occur. My brakes went from fine to grinding, not a normal progression, suggesting someone might have swapped out my good parts for bad. An investigation will resolve this but in the mean time, they blamed it on low oil. Needless to say, never go to this facility. It's literally a safety hazard and criminal liability. read more

Super frustrating experience. Made an online appointment after hours for 8:00 to get a tire replaced. Called when they opened at 7:30 and the manager said they couldn't do it then because "the guys are always late" but if I came in at 5:15 they would. So i left work early, only to have him tell me they couldn't do it. Promised that if i came back the next day at the same time, they would do it. Left work early again, arrived only to be told they couldn't help me. I understand short staffing. I'm not upset they couldn't provide the service. I'm upset that they misled me, twice. Called ahead to see if they had time to plug a flat tire. My experience with this location is that they're usually pretty busy. The rep on the phone said no problem and to come in when I can. I came in and had my tire inspected within minutes, where they identified a piece of metal lodged in the tread. Even though they were busy, I only waited around 10-15 minutes before the gentleman helping me had my tire ready to go. I opted to put the tire back on myself because I was short on time, but they did seem willing to squeeze me in to mount the tire if I was willing to wait a while. They were very accommodating; clearly communicated how busy they were but still willing to fit people in. This was consistent with the other customers who came in while I waited. Now for the important bit. The rep who plugged my tire told me that the life of my tire was wearing thin. He showed me the sidewall damage and explained it would probably last the winter but to keep an eye on it. This is where an untrustworthy business might push a product on me, or pressure me to buy something I don't need. Instead he gave me the info I needed and sent me on my way WITHOUT CHARGING ME! They plugged the tire for free. Combined with the honest communication, this location definitely earned my business going forward. My recent experience in this place is very disappointing. Very bad customer Service. The young lady has attitude. I went there to have my vehicle oil change. After 3 weeks, I start listening some wired noise and I also have got a signal on my dashboard, the same signal that I see when my vehicle is due for oil change. Started off with good service But I had to take the car back bc the problem was not fixed. They had to order more parts and charged 3x the price of the part and said it was bc of the warranty they offer on it. Always look your parts prices up first so you know what you should be paying. Also charged me $30 to depose of small parts that I should have taken home with me. Then tried to say I needed to take it to a transmission specific place bc they thought is was that after $1500 of repairs. The good service was just a front to get you in there. When I complained about paying all the money and still don't have the problem fixed he started getting an attitude. I brought my Rogue to have the ac repaired in September 2021. Ipurchased my own parts, reviewed them with the staff at Mr. Tire and left my car. A belt was also purchased and intalled at that time. My car was there for 2 weeks and they couldn't get the ac to blow cold air. At the time my daughter was in school and I needed my car to get her to and fro. The mechanic indicated that the car was safe to drive and I could bring it back the following week for the ac repair to be completed which I did. I have tried to have my car repaired at least 5 times since September but there was always short staff, a death in the family or my car would sit for 2 days until I would have no choice but to retrieve it. I had an appointment in March 2022 and again my car sat for 2 days without repair. I finally had enough and called customer service, s/w Taz. She asked that I get an estimate so I took it to the Nissan dealer. Per the dealer, the compressor was incorrectly installed and a live wire is hanging in plain sight. The loose wire caused a short in the fuse. This would have been visible during the install. The radiator beam is broken from when the condensor was replaced. It is completely loose and rattling this was not an issue previously. The AC line caps are missing and so is the air duct tube. I am beyond frustrated, not only was my car not repaired but it was further damaged. Finally there wasnot a drop of freon in the car. I'm not sure if it was drained when I brought it in this month but that is also disturbing since I paid for freon in September. I was supposed to get a call when theitems were reviewed but if course I didn't. When I finally spoke with Taz, I was advised her director Camillia stated that my case wouldn't be reviewed further and that there was nothing they could do. Taz states Camillia asked how I could drive the car without freon and that they had no idea who else had touched the car. No one has. And if you pull a CarFax you can clearly see who has serviced my car. I spent a lot of money to repair my car. It isnt repaired and I'm out the money. I received VERY saracstic treatment and I am at my wits end with now further damage done to my car by Mr. Tire! Customer service was absolutely no help. My family has been going to this Mr Tire for years (for tires and oil changes) and has always been treated well. That said I was disappointed to have been with my brother this time and their attitude and demeanor was poor and uncaring. He purchased a set of 4 new tires less than 2 weeks ago. After one of them blew out (no fault of Mr. Tire mind you) he returned with a dead/poor attitude response of "well then you need to buy a new tire." There was no empathy --- not that he was looking to get a free or discounted tire -- but it was obvious the attendant didn't want to be there. My brother had to do all the talking and ask questions just to see what his options were. Then --- after Mr. Tire looked at the tire, they claimed that he drove on it after the fact (he didn't because I was in the car) and basically accused him of being stupid. This experience along with a botched oil change that my other brother experienced a month prior would make me reconsider this location. I hope that the management team works with their staff to improve their customer experience. read more

I needed a new tire because I had hit a curb and blown out a sidewall. I needed a specific Yokohama tire to match those on my car. I went online to Mr Tire, found the tire I needed and arranged to have it installed at Mr Tire in Columbia MD. I arrived a bit early for my appointment, was greeted by Fred and my car was taken right in. Fred was both personable and professional. The service was excellent and Fred took the extra steps to return my spare tire and associated tools to their appropriate place. Whenever I need tires again, Mr Tire in Columbia will be my first choice and I hope to see Fred there. read more

Please be aware that this place will not fix your vehicle. They will do the opposite. You will come in with a good battery and when it is time to pick up your car, it won't start because they left the ignition on, but they will say "Oh, well I guess you have a bad battery." You will pay for synthetic oil, but the sticker in the windshield will say standard, and when you bring it to their attention, they will tell you that they made a mistake on the sticker. What ever you bring your car in for will not be done. They steal parts from your car, and replaced them with used parts, and pretend they fixed it. Athough they advertise has Mr.Tire they are really Monro Muffler Brake, Inc. out of Rochester, NY. They are NOT BBB ACCREDITED. Check their Better Business Bureau reviews. IT'S HORRIBLE. I pulled up to this service center, very low on air in my front tires. I joked with the guy in the bay and asked him can I "borrow" some air. He laughed and graciously came over and not only filled all 4 of my tires, but they checked the tire for nails and damage without hesitation. Major changes in Mr Tire, and not in the positive way. Went to the Berger rd, Columbia md store. Presented their coupon that they sent to me in the mail and the manager wouldn't honor it. The coupon stated $14.99 oil change and he tried to charge me $28 dollars. What is going on with this company. First lets start by saying I have come here a half dozen times and all recommended by tirerack, never again. I showed John that I had purchased the tire from tirerack and to mount and balance a tire it would be approx $16.00. Mind you I had the same service done by ATP on my other BMW three weeks earlier for ALL 4 tires for $60.00. (A new mobile installation tirerack offers, but they were booked until the end of the week). He then quoted me $59.67 with all sorts of add on such as a full TPMS kit, replacement valve stems, etc...I pointed out this was not necessary and I simply wanted to have tire mounted and balanced. John then proceeded to tell me it was federal law that it be done this way. I asked him to show me anywhere this was federal law. He couldnt as there is no "law" that requires this. He then back peddled and said it was company policy. Again, show me! Bottom line, in my opinion is John likes to jack prices up with some unknown incentive. Oh and to add to the story John tried to tell another customer that a simple nail through the tread could not be patched and the whole tire needed to be replaced. I looked at the tire. It was a clean hole and any fix kit would have handled it. My recommendation is to NEVER use this location. We have gone here multiple times within the last couple months, in fact 3 times within the last 3 weeks. Initially came because car was overheating, they made changes. But also made additional recommendations. We came back weeks later for new brakes, however were then report a laundry list of things that were wrong with our car- estimated cost initially was $647, we paid over $1400. Three days later, my husband had to be towed from Rt. 29 because one of their workers didn't put the tire back on correctly from the work completed. Their comment? "Oh we're under staffed". Ok fine. Went back 1 week later because car is still over heating. 2 days later we were told a number of things were wrong with the vehicle with our estimate going from $147 to $2,000. I wish I could give negative stars!! I have been going here for awhile now, but never again. Sent a friend with car trouble here and they charges him 900 bucks and he still has same issue! Kevin, the manager rude and dismissive. I spent nearly that just 8 weeks ago for brakes rotors and new tires. Now I need new tire pressure sensors installed because the light won't go off. I actually have the new sensors and asked Kevin what they would charge to do a hour job of swapping them out ( It's is a ridiculously easy job but you need to tool to reset the sensors with the computer) 245.00 WHAT??? He tells me in a really dismissive way it's for rotating and balancing the tires. I JUST BOUGHT THE BLOODY TIRES FROM YOU!!! When asked again about friend's car he said " It's got a lot of miles" as if they not doing the job right they charged for is his fault. Never again will they see me or anyone I know. I should have known based on the reviews to NOT go here. I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try them anyway. I WAS WRONG. First, I show up for my scheduled appointment to have my 2 front tires replaced. They tell me that they do not have my right size tires and will have to come back tomorrow (I had already taken off work to make this appointment). They told me that were unaware of the size of tires I would need and that´s why they did not have them in stock at that location. Even though when I called I went outside and read them the tire size off my car AND they gave me price for the tires. Once they had my tires, they told me the entire appointment would take 1 hour and 15 minutes. I decided to wait for my car at the service center, After sitting for 3 hours, I finally questioned what was taking so long. Instead of keeping me informed throughout the process, I had to ask what was happening. They could not figure out how to turn my tire pressure sensor light off in my car. They ended up telling me that I could come back another time if the light didn´t go off on its own. (The light is still on). The next day it was raining and my car was sliding all over the road. When I looked, I noticed they had put the NEW tires on the BACK of the car instead of the front ( I have a front wheel drive car) and instead of rotating the tires, they kept the old, smooth tires on the front and got rid of the newer tires that I had on the back of the car. SO now I am left with: the tire pressure light on in my vehicle, 2 smooth, old tires on the front of my car, new tires on the back and instead of rotating my tires, they got rid of the good tires that were on the back wheels. I was there early Sunday morning which may explain why they were so unfriendly. When I arrived all the techs were having coffee and only one of them greeted me. That one was not even the person at the front desk. There was no discussion about options and the tech who actually did the work didn't say anything all, barely acknowledging me. I decided to post this when I opened my trunk and found the spare just thrown in and not stored in the correct place. I had to lift it myself which was especially hard on my back. Fantastic Service! I contacted this Mr. Tire location about getting tires on my RV (Travel Trailer). They ordered the tires and set up the appointment for me. When I arrived, they worked promptly to get the tires installed on my RV. RV's aren't typical, you can't simply pull them in the garage on the lift. Made an appointment at 11 am to have my car serviced. Dropped it off the night before. They didn't start work on it until 3 pm. I had to call them repeatedly to get an update. Said they were having trouble getting off the lug nuts so it was taking longer. When I went to pick uo the car, they said, "oh by the way, we cut off one of your lug nuts. Couldn't get another one today. Sorry." Got in the car and the seat had been shoved all the way back and down. Seriously? You can't leave the seat alone? Got grease on the panel above the interior door handle, and the wheel looked beat up where they cut the lug nut. Plus, they were supposed to rotate the tires but they were still all in the same spot. I went to this location a few weeks ago after making an appointment to have tires installed on my wife's truck. I arrived at my appointment time of 12pm. When I walked in I was greeted by no one. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes before a technician in the back came out and spoke to me. At that point I decided to leave. I received a call 15 minutes after I left to find out why I left. When I told the person on the phone why I left they insisted that I had not been standing there as long as I was. I went to this place with my 3 kids one of which was a month old. I don't have time for businesses who make light of my time and try to insult me by calling me a liar. If I could give them less I would. I will never go back there. Hell there is a Merchants tire in the same lot. There are at least 15 other tire places in Columbia. I suggest you use any one of those instead of this place. read more

I've used this location several times for maintainence like oil changes, tire rotations, etc. They've always completed the work promptly, but not so rushed that they screw anything up. (Take a hint, Jiffy Lube.) For routine stuff, I always call ahead. Once I found a nail in a tire on a Saturday. They were busy, but managed to squeeze me in. I'll echo Armin's point about them being honest. They could've claimed the tire wasn't fixable, and charged me for a new pair. But instead they repaired it & charged a small enough anount that I forgot what it was. Just FYI, this location doesn't have a separate waiting area. Eric, the manager, called a few hours later saying it was done and I could pick it up anytime. I had shopped around on-line and Mr. Tire matched the price of a major on-line tire retailer. I would give negative stars if possible. Worst experience I have ever had at any auto repair shop. Had my car for 3 hours, did not call me back to say when it would ready. I was dropped off at shop after being gone for over 3 hours and they had not done anything to the car, at all. I was told they were 1. waiting on parts 2. could not get the wheel off (to replace brake pads) 3. were not sure when they could even begin to work on the car. After over 5 hours of having my car, with me waiting for 2 hours in the shop they said they would get to it tomorrow, leaving me with no car, a need to find a ride home and the missing of 2 doctor appointments the next day. They did no work on the car, I had to have a totally different shop repair it. I was still charged 566.00 for NOTHING and they would not refund the money. Cheats, liars and frauds.
