I would give this .5 stars. But there was one gentleman that did help remove a tire when we could not get it off.. (salt is a terrible corrosion, but they didn't even remove it for the inspection) The first time I've ever been here I had a blast with the lady at the front desk chatting about life in general and she gave me a discount after my coupon wouldn't work. Talk about a big change! A bunch of cranky men working here who glare at you the second you utter the question "why?" Came in with a coupon of $5 off VA safety inspection.. they told me it would be done before I went to work. Notified them I would be as well and received 6 missed calls and a text message! Desperate much? Talked to Rolo who told me that everything on my car added up to $1,422... After he explained everything I asked him if I could pick my car up still? You could tell he wanted to say no. But he started telling me that the cops would pull me over and give me a ticket. I notified him I already had some paperwork on it should a cop pull me over. I understand that he might have tried to come from a "warning" point of view..but it did NOT come across that way. You DO NOT scare tactic someone for a sale. Bad customer service! Upon grabbing my car from there they provided a list of everything the bill included.. brakes were not even included in the pricing. Safe to say I will warn anyone who even thinks about going here! I went to this place today around 5 pm to change my car tire. I brought my only one tire with me then i asked one guy there (bald wearing glasses) on the front desk he clamed after that he is the Manager for install it in my sedan car and guess for how much he said?? $45 for only installation! Then i called other three Mr.tire places to aske them about the installation price they all said $29.99! Which is little pricy comparing to the other auto service places. Then i went to install it in one of the places(mr.tire) for $29. By the way walmart they install tires for only $16 includ balance and everything. I normaly install it for $20 including the tax anywhere in other places. That guy he let me drove 5 miles to come to his place when i called him over the phone to rip me off. I went in to replace the brakes that I put on my car back in 2014. While I was there the tech working on my vehicle noticed my coolant was leaking and immediately diagnosed it to a broken water pump. I didn't wind up using Mr Tire to get the replacement/repair done due to the total cost at the time. I appreciate the extra attention to issues and I will come back for other services. So I brought the car over and dropped it off and was told they'd be done in an hour or so. I got a call half hour later that they only install new tires and to come pick up my car. Sorry. After standing in front of them for 3 min the older bald gentleman comes to the old outer and says how can I help you. I tell him I want an oil change and he says."it doesn't look good for you, next appointment is at 3." they have 1 person in the waiting room oil change bay is empty three cars parked. 3 hours for an oil change appointment is ridiculous Went across the street to Midas who took the oil change and discovered my front struts were leaking. Avoid the Springfield location at all costs! I went in to get new rear brakes and a flat repair. My car came out in much worse shape than I took it in at. The steering wheel and car starts vibrating and my car pulls towards the right. They gave me one new tire (technician recommended two and manager said just one and they didn't ask which tire brand I wanted) and changed my back brakes. It was very costly, more expensive than anywhere else and for what I feel was a shoddy job. Received a $25 off offer if I downloaded their app. I needed an oil change so I downloaded, filled out the info. When I arrived the coupon wasn't loading properly. Rather than honoring it the attendant said he could only take $10 off. After unsuccessfully uninstalling, reinstalling the app, I downloaded it to my work phone where it appeared. I showed it to him to confirm everything was correct before hitting redeem and boom same issue. I asked if they could start the service while I attempted to fix the issue. He said sure and gave me a contact to sign without the discount. I told him I wouldn't sign it unless the discount was applied. After uninstalling and reinstalling again without any luck he said oh just check your email. Got an email stating I received an offer but didn't include the coupon code he insisted he needed. He then said 'I'll just make a note about the app issue and apply the discount' I asked 'couldn't you have done that 25 minutes ago when I first arrived.' He's reply was 'no, sir.' Not to mention he kept saying his tech is going to leave soon while he insisted on me fixing the issue rather than honoring the coupon. I'm still sitting in the waiting room and my car has yet to go into the garage. My appointment was for an hour and a half ago. Talk about lack of customer service and professionalism. Save yourself the headache and time and go somewhere else. If I could give zero stars I would. Sad part is it could have been a 5 star experience with applying the coupon note to the bill at the beginning of the interaction. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but they put on my spare tire in about 1.5 hours and provided friendly service. I found myself with a flat tire on the highway, taking the first exit I could find, into an area I'm not familiar with. Lucky for me there was Mr. Tire! At first I tried calling AAA and got the automated message saying that it would at least 10 minutes until they could even answer my call, which means the wait time for them to come help was going to be a while. Never coming here again , came here once for new tires and everything went well came back again a month later decided to give this place another shot and asked if I could have an alignment check and if I needed one I will proceed and have that done here. Now I WAS TOLD "NO ITS EITHER YOU GET IT OR YOU DONT ". Why would I get something if I'm not 100% sure that's why I wanted a CHECK first and then proceed. Out of desperation, I called Mr. Tire last weekend, because they were the only place open to help me immediately when oil pressure light came on for my Toyota. The team here is outstanding! I called and spoke with Ronaldo, who let us come in towards the end of the evening, he just as easily could've told us to come in another day or leave the car overnight, like every other place did. But instead, he helped us out. He explained to us that this particular model of Toyota tends to burn a lot of oil over time. I had previously done several random checks on the car several months ago, and it never leaked oil, nor did I see oil underneath, so, admittedly ignorant, I have not been checking the oil between oil changes. I get the oil changes done at the Toyota dealership and they clearly should have been notifying me that the vehicle has been burning oil. This was the first time we saw the light come on, and we were shocked to know that over the last 4700 miles or so, the Toyota had burned about half of its oil, and needed like 3 L of oil when I visited Mr. Tire! Clearly, when I had been paying the top dollars to have Toyota do the regular maintenance on my vehicle, they were not even paying attention to the fact that they were not draining nearly the total oil required for optimal operation/life span of my engine. Shame on me for not checking, and shame on the Toyota dealerships for not doing so either. The service here with Ronaldo and his team was outstanding. They were polite, fast, made me smart on what I needed to be looking at, they took care of my problem, and they sent me into the weekend, worry free. Bought the road hazard insurance for 4 new tires for $110. Had front tire puncture after two years. Cost to replace was $70 for the tire (tire original cost was about $130); about $30 for disposal fee, and about $30 for installation cost; taxes etc about $20. Total about $150. Actual cost with hazard insurance was really $260. Great deal. Without insurance would have been about $150. Will buy next set of tires from somewhere else. Also, took two days to accomplish. Car on rack for over over three hours to decide it couldn't be patched (huge piece of metal in tire). Had to leave over nite while they located a replacement. Now enjoying the most road noise I have ever had from a tire. read more

I was in a time crunch to find decent tires for my vehicle. I went online to find the cheapest tires in Northern VA and Mr. Tire was only company that I could give me real time inventory of tires. Only thing I did it like was the price quote online did not reflect what I was quoted online. The customer service was really good and the technician did not hesitate how much I would be paying for the tires. The location is hidden away from the rest of downtown Springfield, but the place was easy to find on the GPS. I would highly recommend to make a appointment by phone, not by online cause the appointment I made online did not show up on their system. read more

I have trouble trusting big name mechanics and decided to check out a new place I have never been. I decided to come here. I read the reviews online before coming and was pleased. My appointment was scheduled at 9:30 but I was 30 min early. Rolondo started the work as soon as I got there. I didn't even have to wait! He was super friendly and greeted me with a smile. Very professional. As I was waiting a young lady came in, she was in a rush because she was a school teacher and needed her tire plugged. Don't go here if you're a female. Like a lot of places they assume you're a moron and they dick you around. I came in because my tire had a screw in it. They told me it couldn't be repaired because the screw was in the sidewall. I needed to buy a new tire for $140. I sent the picture of my tire to a friend who is a mechanic and he assured me the screw was not in the sidewall so I said I would take the car somewhere else. The man told me "Oh I wouldn't recommend plugging it. I'm not just trying to sell you something." Blah blah blah. I left anyway. Took it to a gas station where a man took the screw out and told me, "You're good to go! It didn't even puncture." Like is this real life?! I called Mr.Tire and he gave me some bs like "Oh well you needed a new tire because a chunk is actually missing from your tire." Sure buddy! That was never even mentioned to me!!!!! Came in for a oil change with a $18 coupon for synthetic oil . It was more expensive than VA Tire and Auto . My brother told me this place was cheaper -.- with my coupon, it was still $81 when it clearly says full synthetic is $82 ... So i dropped off my car and later they called telling me they had to change some filter in my car . Guess it was my fault for not making sure how much it was at first but i was expecting it to be a mere $30 extra at most for my air filter . But what do you know ? Long story short they tried to return my car without even checking the allignment! Made a second trip and front desk checked in the car and said it would take a hour to a hour and and half. I came back a hour and a half later. Asked the status and got a less than professional response and I was told to wait while he checked on my vehicle. Five minutes later he handed me the keys and told me the problem was the tire pressure and unbalanced tire(s). I asked him about the allignment. Finally he admitted they never checked it. I'm still waiting for the owners contact information which the manager said he would provide. No way I'm trusting these "mechanics" with my car again. Once you've found them, they're worth their weight in gold and you don't want to go to anyone else. Mr. Tire & Auto off Backlick Rd. in Springfield, VA are those guys. Friendly, reliable, very reasonably priced and, most of all, trustworthy. I've used these guys for over a decade and wouldn't take any of my vehicles to anyone else. All three of my vehicles, including my 2005 Cummins diesel 4x4 pickup, have received not only new tires and batteries, but also regularly scheduled maintenance and major repairs from these guys. What a bad experience! First, I had to call mutiple times just to reach them. The first guy I reached was rude and clueless. I called the next day and the phone rang multiple times in the middle of the working day. Once it must have rang 40 times before i hung up. I set an appointment and when I showed up two days later they said they were running 30 minutes late. I checked the service bays and half were empty?!? The place is a total dump. It took them two hours to install four tires. When I got into my car the steering wheel was so dirty I had to stop on the way home at a CVS store to buy supplies to clean the wheel. We came here with two cars at different times, both needing an oil change with tire rotations and topping off of fluids, all of which were written up on the service papers. At the end of a few hours of dropping them off, upon picking them up we found both cars failed to have the tires rotated nor the fluids topped off. Now, we are wondering if they bothered changing out the filters when they did the oil changes. Pretty standard stuff, I'll mention the guy out front was friendly-Sydney, but we won't be going back there. After leaving and realizing at home we went back and told Sydney who took care of it but it shouldn't have happened to begin with. Very happy with our experience today. Yesterday she had a flat, unfortunately after hours, so we got there this morning. My mom had gotten her tires in 2011 from this location with the warranty coverage, but was unsure of what was covered - she expected to pay for a new tire. Imagine our surprise - the warranty was still in place - so all that was due was $ 5- (price difference 2011 vs. 2013) plus the warranty coverage and it would take around three hours. They called within the 3 hrs and we dropped by to pick up the car - she walked out with a new tire for $ 24.03 - my mom is a very happy and satisfied customer. I called to check if they had a specific tire and in my sizes for my 2016 Mercedes C300, when they said they did I headed over with a rear tire that was honestly getting sketchy to drive on. I got there and waited while whoever the bald guy with glasses who works the counter took FOREVER to do whatever on the computer for the person in front of me. I finally got to the counter and told him I was who called about the specific tires, he acknowledges and went to go check my tires out himself. He came back telling me he couldn't replace them with the tires I wanted because my current ones were run flats and the ones I wanted were not. He tried telling me that it's a liability issue and that the manufacturer didn't intend on the car being ran on anything but run flats. I know for a fact that you can most definitely replace run flats with ones that aren't and no place should refuse to if a customer is asking that!!! This idiot either needs to learn more about the automotive industry or stop trying to upsell something more expensive if that was his motive all along. Either way I left pretty irritated being outright denied service for a completely bullshit reason. They lost revenue because of this and gained a 1 star review from someone who never really writes reviews. read more

I went in for my Ford Explorer, not a luxury vehicle mind you and they said it needed some special oil so it would come out to $52 saving only $12 for the coupon. On September 17th, 2016, I took a loose (off the car) wheel/tire in for a flat repair. After picking up the wheel and taking it home to install back on the car, I noticed that they had damaged the face of the wheel by letting the wheel fall on the floor. I filled out their survey that they emailed the next day explaining the damage. I was contacted by Armando who claimed he was the district manager. He asked that I take pictures, write up an explanation of the damage, and email it all to him. After no response back from him for over a week, I contacted their corporate offices. I was told by them that Armando had given me an incorrect email address. Who doesn't know their own email address? I was then told that they would contact Armando and he would call me back. Five minutes later Diane called me back and said she couldn't reach Armando and that she would take care of the damage claim. This was on October 3rd. By October 11th, I still had no response back from anyone, so I forwarded the email to Diane once again. It is now October 18th and I have received ZERO response back from anyone. Their lack of professionalism, lack of response, and shoddy work led me to post this review. I demand that Mr. Tire reimburse me $180.65 to replace the wheel that they damaged. Accidents and damage sometimes happen. It's not that the damage happens, it's how it's taken care of after the fact. Their lack of response and unwillingness to fix their mistake is nothing short of shameful. I will never go back to this business, and if they don't resolve this situation, I will contact a lawyer and pursue a court case over $180.65, plus punitive damages. It's not the money, it's the principal of the matter. Mr. Tire, you should be ashamed of yourself, and I will tell everyone I know not to trust your business with anything. Updated 11/3: After multiple phone calls, getting shoved into voice mails, and no one returning my calls, I finally got to speak with someone who could help me. Adam, from Corporate Risk management, told me he could help me. After 30+ days past the incident, they still had not received any report from their store in question. He was very argumentative, and told me I would need to wait longer to get this situation resolved. I refused to allow then to take more time screwing me around. He then told me that I would need to provide them a work order and/or estimate to replace the wheel. As it was purchased from an online vendor, this was not possible. They already had a link directly to the vendor I purchased the wheel from and he said that wasn't good enough. After 15 minutes of arguing, he finally relented. They sent me a check for the wheel plus shipping charges, and a whopping $9 to have my tire mounted and balanced on the new wheel. Though the situation is finally resolved, and I have a new wheel on the way, the BS I had to go through was downright shameful. Mr Tire, you have lost my business permanently, and I will share my experience with anyone looking for tires or auto service. read more
