This place wasn't too bad when I visited 5 years ago. I paid a visit for a free flat repair and turned out it was falsely advertised and they asked me to pay 25$ for balancing and valve stem. Both of which I didn't need. Turns out it wasn't free after all. After I got my car in and got a call from them, the man was very rude and hung up on me before I could finish speaking. The unprofessionalism is very real. Seems like all they want to do is make money off of gullible people. Not to mention they made "women" remarks to my girlfriend. Its about time I wrote a review on this shop after my 3rd visit...After marginal experiences at Firestone Springfield finally found a great tire shop .. also had the Nissan dealer align my SUV twice and they couldn't get it right..said Xterras are "hard to align".. and even told me "its the tires fault" my steering wheel is off! Mr Tire charged me a lot less for an alignment and got it perfect first try!!! Also got a tire balancing for ridiculously low price and it was really good. very next day (today) decided to bring in my other SUV to get a tire balance because it was low price and really well done... Even thought he balance was only 30 bucks Tech went the extra mile on my Pathfinder in getting a couple of the harder tires just right..(one had a tire repair recently which can thow balance off whack..). even moved tire on the rim half a turn to get it right. Where else can one get that for 30 bucks!!!!!!! And on my first visit 4 months ago the guy even talked me out of a new set of tires said the existing ones "were still real good" and I should save my money until they need replacing. I also had a slow leak done once real quick on short notice... it was not as aggressively priced as their other services but they did it properly with a patch not a plug. After Spending hours at a Firestone I decided to give this location and company a try. They definitely lived up to the 5 star reviews I saw on yelp and google. I received excellent overall service and there was open and honest communication with the onsite staff. They quickly diagnosed my tire issue quickly, made the necessary adjustment and got me out the door. There's free strong WiFi in the shop to connect to while you wait, you couldn't honestly ask for more. I will be bringing all my cars here in the future. read more

The absolute worst service imaginable. Went in to get tires replaced. After I paid and was about to walk out they mention that my car was involved in a car accident. There was NO call when the accident happened or mention it to me when they called to tell me my car was ready. The police was called and everything and still we could not get any information on how it happened from the manager or staff. Absolutely inexcusable. The manager was rude and unhelpful! Now we are dealing with their corporate office because they never contacted their insurance! DO NOT ever go there for any work!!! read more

I needed front brake pads replaced, came in and got an estimate for $700 saying that I needed new rotors as well. I went and got a second estimate from another place saying that I didn't need my rotors replaced and only costed about $200. So, no thanks. read more

Never again. I brought my car in on Saturday due to a flat. They saw the flat, looked at it and said there was no puncture. Wednesday came and the flat was back. I brought it back and by this time they could not patch it. Had to get a new tire. Out over $100 due to incompetence. I have been here for years and have referred others. I was an ASE Master Automotive Technician. No one else has ever worked on my vehicles, aside from tire jockeys (I used to be one, too). That said, the mechanic (tire jockey) that replaced both of my rear tires in June did two things very wrong: 1. (observed) He tightened my lug nuts in a circular pattern, instead of a star pattern. When I mentioned this to the manager, he said "I'll talk to him." If he did, it wasn't until after I left! I re-tightened them myself, with my lug wrench, before driving away. Doing this wrong can cause lugs to break and nuts to work loose! 2. I was already missing one rear wheel cover, when I got there. The tire jockey cracked the other one all the way to the center, regardless. 3. While my vehicle was on the lift, the tire jockey STOLE MY SPARE TIRE and the yoke it hangs from! You don't touch the spare, when installing new tires on the axle. Granted, it was an O.E.M. donut tire instead of regular size. But, it was MY donut tire, and that yoke it hard to come by! I was under my vehicle, the morning I brought it to Mr. Tire. The spare was there, as always. I park in a secure area, vandals didn't steal it at night. When I removed the fuel tank, to replace rusted fuel and brake lines, I noticed the yoke & spare was gone. I notified the manager in person, the following week, and gave him a deadline to return my property before I took any action. We spoke again, by phone, before time ran out. He obviously doesn't care what goes on in the shop! Neither of us expected his mechanic to confess. Nonetheless, he had a full week to come up with a suitable replacement. He failed! Do not, under any circumstances, patronize the Springfield, VA location! read more

Avoid these guys like the plague. Horrible experience! I had a 10am appointment and showed up at 9:50. I saw the tires that Tirebuyer.com had delivered sitting on the showroom floor. Guy at front counter told me it would take a couple of hours to install because there were larger tires (no problem). I started reading my book and waited....and waited....and waited. 45 minutes later, my truck was still in the parking lot. I went in and asked about it. I was told that they had to "re-calibrate" the balancing machine and that my truck would be next. They told me it would be two hours from the time they started the install, not from the time I arrived!! Then I see them pull in another car that had arrived after mine. I went in and asked what was up, and got blank stares. Finally at 11:15, I told them to give me my keys back and to load my tires in my truck. These guys have no idea what an appointment is, and will waste your time. STAY AWAY! read more

Every time when I return to this place there alway a new face working at the front reception. But this time is my worst experience and I think I will go to pepboy from now on. I came to this place 4 times in the past for installing new tires. Last month I bring my car replace two new tires in rear and they charge me $29.99 each for installation. Today I go back to install two new tires for the front, new group of people working there and he tells me it will be $65 each. I told him to go check on the computer and look for my record last month. Ok he will charge me $29.99 but I only look at the total on the bottom of receipt it went up to $90 plus. Today's experience was similar if not even worse than my last one. I had a 930 appointment and I've been here 2 hours for 4 tires (no alignment) and I'm being told at least 20 minutes more. I've watched Vernon be rude to clients (last visit) and today he looks like and acts like this is the last place he wants to be (maybe his leadership should take his hint). They are Turing customers away by saying they as 'busy'. That's OK, with services like this they can't stay busy long. If you want a decent price for tires and live close to these guys, get the price but don't expect a smile or rapid service. (Bring a good book or fully charged device, you will be here a while.) We have been using this shop for at least 8-9 years. We followed the crew from another location on Rt. 1 when they were Mr Goodwrench. Nate was the best. And friendly! Yesterday's visit was the absolute WORST. No faces I knew, no empathy that I had just spent thousands on a wedding 3 days ago. The manager has no interpersonal skills which to develop trust in the customer. I like to chat with new people to see how trustworthy they are. Zip, zero. The manager mumbled and because of that I was not given a clear understanding of what was happening and why. But I was given a credit card application to pay for my repairs! Had the misfortune to hit a pothole and ruin a tire. Took it into Mr. Tire in Springfield for repair and was shown that the tire could not be repaired. I needed two new tires. While the size/brand I needed was not in stock, they ordered them for same day delivery and I came back later for installation. The service was prompt and the price reasonable (was within a few dollars of the best price I could find the internet). When it was complete, they explained what they did and what I could expect ad I was pleased. But when I checked out my vehicle and opened the trunk to make sure they put the spare back, it was put back in the proper wheel stowage position with all tools and hold-downs correctly installed. I came here to get my tires rotated and a second opinion on my transmission fluid. Midas had told me that my transmission fluid needs to be flushed, but the employees working at Mr. Tire said it was not recommended to go that route. They also did not recommend rotating my tires due to the back tires being more worn. Mr. Tire of Springfield is possibly the most honest, friendly auto shop I've ever been to. Repeat customer with a need to fix a flat tire on spouses Camry. Found new staff at facility than previous visit. Left the tire as they were busy (Saturday) and was called an hour or so later. While I expected a $20-30 repair, the news was the sidewall was split and could not be repaired, So would need two matching tires and suddenly repair costs were x10. A couple of brands were on sale but in the end we did some research at home and went for Michelins all around as old set were nearing end of useful life. Shop did as promised to get all 4 sourced, installed and aligned by afternoon. Satisfied with service and they did work with us on costs overall. This place has lost my business for life. I have tried to contact management at your store and regional management to express my concerns but no one is interested in returning calls at your company. I brought my vehicle in a week or so ago and experienced some property theft while it was on site at the Springfield location. I called to talk to the manager (only the assistant was available) and I was basically told that the staff would have no reason to steal from my vehicle and the Tech that worked on my vehicle was off for the day. This was the only time someone did return a call. The assistant manager called me back and said he spoke with the tech who did not recall even working on my vehicle so there was nothing they could do. I called to get a regional manager name and I have attempted to contact Paul Roberts several times with no luck. He does not return my calls and his assistant manager is always busy also. Apparently they do not want to be hassled by customers that may have an issue. While it may be my responsibility to remove property from my vehicle before coming in for service, it is hard to plan for a large nail in my tire. When it happens I called and came right in to get repair service. I missed my easy pass when looking over the vehicle for items of value. I everyone in my office that used to use your services will never use them again nor will they recommend them again. They did fix my tire. It was much more expensive than other places I have had tire work done but I had a flat and I needed it done right now so I was willing to pay their prices. My buddies cars AC quit working. It was just blowing hot air so he took it to this shop and was informed it needed to have the system charged. he paid 287 dollars to have the AC charged and it didn't help. They then told me it was the compressor so I had them replace that for 800 and something dollars. When he left the shop the AC was blowing cold air but had a weird sound coming from it. Before he could call and ask what the noise was the AC quit working all together. He took the car back and was informed the Blower assembly was bad and it would cost him 1,000 to have it replaced. Its a 50 dollar part!!!!!!!!. Well fool me once your bad, fool me twice my bad, there will not be a third time. Better Business Bureau will be receiving a call from me on his behalf for sure. My husband went to Mr. Tire to get his car fixed. They ended up keeping his truck a couple extra days because they didn't get to the work when they said they would. Then as compensation they gave him a couple free oil changes. Sounded like a good deal until he just put his truck on the rack to do his own fix and realized that they reattached his oil pan with zip ties! they also didn't tighten the bolts on his rotors so one of the nuts had come off and the bolt was half way out. NOT impressed. I would think twice before having them do any work. My husband is also forgoing the free oil changes because he is so upset and disappointed with the work that was done the first time. Very professional; did not try to sell me more than the tires that I needed (two). Gave me an appointment for fixed time, and had me out of there in 40 minutes. Single price includes everything, including balancing and installation; no nickel-and-dime separate charges like "tire disposal" fee. They also found a nail in a tire I am keeping, but, since it did not puncture the tire, they did not try to take advantage of me with a patch that I did not need. Came to the store to get an alignment. The front desk guy was able to match other competitor's coupon which was a plus. I did make an appointment but it wasn't in the system when i came in. Anyhow, i did get my alignment done within an hour. After i left the shop i drove around and noticed the steering wheel was not centered after alignment so i went back to the shop and talked to the person who wrote the ticket. When i explained the steering problem he tried to deny and blamed me for doing an alignment. I didn't say anything and asked him to check it out. Tommy was the tech who worked on my car and after doing the alignment again it was better. Mr. Tire... I would have appreciated a bit more courtesy from the front desk person. If the customer has a concern, don't blame on the customer instead try to understand what the problem is and help fix it. read more

My husband and I were stranded when the car broke down; we made it to Mr. Tire at this location and found the most sympathetic, honest, wonderful two men working there. The manager on duty was Jose' and his mechanic on duty that day was very hard working. Both men were knowledgeable and assisted us in every way to get us on our way. We left them with a smile even in the midst of what started out as a horrible day. We would recommend this service center to anyone wanting an honest, good and reliable service. I made my reservation online thinking that I will be in and out faster than those other places where you just walk in, was I wrong. My reservation and I got there little early. Although I had already provide all my personal information during online registration, they asked for it again. it didn't look busy and they had me wait in the waiting room. I waited and waited. BTW, there was nobody waiting and I was the only one in the waiting room. They had several open bays and employees were going back and forth talking and smoking. When I finally paid, it had taken them 2 hours. To make the experience worse, I had to go back to the shop because they forgot to return my wheel lock key for my tires. It would have cost $80 to replace a wheel lock key and it would have been a nightmare if I had a flat and did not have a key to remove my tires. Overall, this was a horrible experience. Why have an online reservation if you make your customer wait all that time. Maybe it was just this Mr. Tires, but I hated the experience. read more
