I have been to this location in the past and had no issues. The staff were friendly, got the work done (correctly), and I always kept this place in mind when I needed work done to my vehicle. Recently (in the last 6 months) I went to purchase tires. The associate who was manning the desk seemed a bit off (hungover, not at all there - not sure what it was, but I didn't think anything of it at the time). He found a set of tires for my car after fumbling around with different systems that were not working for him (he was very outspoken about the issues he was having, which I found unprofessional). When he finally found a set, I asked him if the purchase came with an alignment. He said it did not, but he would 'throw it in with the same price' if I purchased the tires. I said definitely, and thank you. Once I received a call that the car was ready, I went up there and picked the car up. Upon driving the car home, I noticed a vibration in the front and the steering was pulling to the left harder than it was when I brought the vehicle in for the new tires. I immediately took the vehicle back to the location and mentioned this to the staff. The guy who sold me the tires was there, along with another employee who was making comments to the guy who helped me that they didn't do aligments for free. I got the impression he was part of management or the owner. I mentioned to the guy who sold me the tires that he told me he would include the alignment in with the price, and he tried to deny that he said anything like that. They took my keys again and said they would 'fix' the alignment as a courtesy. I asked the guy who sold me the tires for confirmation that he balanced the tires, and he confirmed he did. The employee who I assume was the manager started asking me quite a few questions about alignment that were beyond my understanding, and he basically started trying to explain to me that the bad alignment had nothing to do with any work they did to the car, and then started saying it was probably the road I was driving on that was making the car pull harder to the left than it had been before the new tires were put on the car. I started to realize this was not a constructive, nor a rational conversation, so I didn't continue to debate the issue. I did, however, ask the 'manager' if I took the car to another shop and they were able to determine that the alignment was either nerver done or made worse, if they would reimburse me for a portion of the cost of the tire installation. He of course said they didn't do that and they don't do test drives on freeways, so that may be why the technician who supposedly did test drive the car after the work was dont didn't notice any alignment issue. I am really disappointed, as the staff I have been assisted by in the past were nothing like these two employees. One seemed incompetent and I wonder if he even remembered saying he'd throw in an alignment, or if he was just saying he never said that because his manager was present. The manager was flat out rude and extremely defensive. Judging from other reviews, it doesn't sound like this is a common incident (I am seeing lots of positive reviews for this shop), and I hope nobody else has this or a similar experience, but I will not bring my car to this shop anymore. Edit to my review from March 27. The technician examined the tire and apologized for missing the bulge, then put a brand new tire on, same brand, no charge. While I appreciate this and it is excellent customer service, I would have been just as happy to purchase a new tire the day the flat one was brought in. It's unfortunate that a miss by an employee cost them a sale and the cost of the tire and service time to install a new one. read more

Everyone is very nice and it appears that the work was done correctly both times (first time was for break pads and new tires and second time to fix a flat). There are two points that I am taking a star away for. One is punctuality. They always seems to over promise and under deliver. First time I was told it would take 3 hours and the very most. I was there for 5!! (and it wasn't until checkout that they told me the pressure On my front tires was bad. At that point I just wanted to get out of there) and the second time they told me 1 hour and it took a little over 1.5 hours. I'd much rather be told a longer wait time and be pleasantly surprised if it's done quicker. Second reason I am taking away a star is for being pressured both times to leave a review for them right there in front of them. The second time at least he didn't fight me when I said I would do it later. I do not want to be pressured into leaving a review, specially in a way that intimidates people enough to leave a positive review because they are being watched. Not okay! Fix those two points and I'd give a 5 star rating. read more

I called first thing on Saturday to get an appointment for a tire repair. We had purchased Road Hazard coverage for our set of tires two years ago and needed to use it. If we could have gotten an appointment and a quick fix, this would be 5 stars, but they didn't have any same day appointments and said we could bring it in, drop the car and they would get it fixed the same day. That still worked, and they performed as promised. The car was done by 2:30 and they called to let us know. We've purchased several sets of tires at this store for various vehicles over the years. There is usually a wait involved but they are open on weekends and we never felt oversold, mislead or taken advantage of. read more

I went here to get all my tires replaced, as they were almost bald at this point. I would say my experience was not great, but it was also not bad. More, "meh". They originally started me with a quote for a very high-end tire, and the price was quite high. I asked if there was a more standard offering, and they gave me a much more reasonable quote. I suppose they are in sales, so that is the way one starts, high to low. However, I would have preferred to have had my options reviewed all together or at least a consultation on what would fit my needs best. The process took about 2 hours. My guess is this is not fast, nor slow (tire changes are so far apart, I usually do not recollect previous experiences). Other than that, everyone was friendly and helpful. There are probably other tire places that might do a better job, but if you are not too picky, this place will get the job done. read more

My girl friend took her Sonata here for an oil change, tire rotation and break check. She got the car back about 6 hours later, and the wheels weren't touched, and they said the brakes were fine. Upon bringing the car home, the brakes were grinding metal on metal. Took it to another shop a short time later and the caliper piston wasn't retracting fully, which was plainly visible had they actually taken the wheels off. Avoid this shop! read more

11/18: Didn't even have the chance to get service here. We had a flat tire and were trying to get in immediately. The guy on the phone told my husband he needed to call back in 10 minutes because he had a printer issue and needed the phone. He asked if we could get in tonight and was told, "No I'm done for tonight" in a very rude tone. They're supposed to be open until 8, he didn't even try to help us before hanging up. 11/19 Update: Merchants Tire across the street gave us fast, reliable, and kind service. We couldn't get a patch but got a great deal on a new tire for our car. It was done in about 20 minutes. read more

!!! Found a steel stake in my tire this morning at 7am, called Mr Tire and they were able to squeeze me in first thing. Ended up needing to replace the entire tire, so they ordered it right then and helped coordinate the road hazard warranty on the tire. I had an 11am appointment to mount and balance (4) tires . It took them 3 hours to do that job. They car didn't even get pulled in until 12:30. What's the point of making an appointment!?!? Had a flat tire. So I put the spare on and went to mr. Tire to get to new tires. After making an appointment. I was the only customer there. Service bays were empty except for my Vehicle. 2 hrs to get two tires put on. And they didn't even put the spare back in the holder. Tire pressure light is now on. Charged me for valve stems when it states in the road coverage warranty that you pay extra for for each tire including standard valve stems. I don't think I will be returning to Mr. tire. read more

I am really disappointed. I have previously gotten good service here, which is why I directed my daughter to have a flat tire plugged and reinflated at Mr. Tire this weekend. On Sunday, March 27, 2022, my 20yr old daughter took a flat tire in to be plugged at around 4ish pm. She was charged $40, but mysteriously the person who cashed her out, said that the receipt device "wasn't working". She then drove the 11 minutes to my house, did not strike anything, did not hit any potholes, and the tire was completely flat by the time she arrived. We took the tire off and could not find a plug anywhere, but we found the nail in the tire quite easily as well as a HUGE bulge in the tire that whoever handled this tire completely missed! Someone at this store did NOT do their job and allowed my daughter back on the road with a severely damaged tire, which could have blown out, wrecked the rim, and/or caused her to be in an accident. How could a trained technician miss the nail and bulge and merely inflate the tire and put it back on a car? Gross negligence. I will be in today March 28, with the tire, and I expect to speak with the store manager and obtain a refund for the money my daughter paid for a service that was not performed, and I will not recommend this store to anyone. The technician who sent my daughter out with a severely damaged tire should also be reprimanded. read more

I felt obligated to write a decent review of this location, due to it having so many poor ones. Just recently ordered a set of tires off tirerack.com to be delivered to the location. They were able to schedule me in at a conceited any time. There was a little confusion over the cost of the tire mounting and balancing, but it was quickly cleared up over the phone. Just a note - the prices advertised on tirerack.com are special prices for Mr. Tire, so make sure you are quoted initially based on that to avoid confusion later on. All 4 mounted and balanced with an oil change in an hour. The man at the desk also came out to the car to verify the tires were the correct size, as it was unusual for my male/model. This place is always trying to rip you off. Had a screw in my tire and need a patch. They told me it couldn't be fixed and needed new tire. I have a AWD vehicle so then they proceeded to tell me that I needed all new tires. The car had less then 3000 miles. I went and picked the car up and went to Barnes service center and they patched the tire and off I went. Screw Mr tire. read more

I like others have had mixed results with this location over the past several years however I remained loyal until this past Saturday. I filled out an online request for appointment and indicated that I needed new tires and that I would be waiting for my vehicle. The system advised that a representative would contact me by telephone. About 11:30, I received a phone call and reviewed my options for purchasing four new tires and confirmed my drop of time of 2:30, the earliest they could assist me. The person then advised me that they would need my vehicle for 3-4 hours to do the tire swap. I questioned how is that possible when I typically walk in and it has always been around an hour or two. He then suggested I walk to the mall and catch a movie while I waited. Ridiculous. Based on that conversation I was happy to take my vehicle to a competitor at the mall where I walked in and they were happy to assist me, installing new tires in 40 minutes and with a final cost of about $30 less than what Mr. Tire indicated for equivalent performance tires. Unfortunately for this Mr. Tire, I will be taking my other three vehicles to their competitor from now on. read more

Mr Tire offers cheap oil changes, but the service is sub par. My most recent experience with them consisted of them losing my keys. It has been three months, and I am still fighting for a reimbursement for those keys. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had a flat tire and it was Saturday afternoon. I called a couple of places around Westminster; some were closed and others snickered when I asked if they would be able to help me today (Saturday). Then I called Mr. Tire and was greeted with a friendly response of "Sure bring it in and let's see what we can do." I hurried over and was assured that the job would be done quickly just 25 to 30 minutes and the estimate was very fair. I waited for my car and in the time I was there at least one other person came in with what seemed to be a similar story and that person was also treated with respect and a "Can Do" attitude. This is a great place and this is not the first time they have helped me out with similar results. I'm sorry I wasted my time looking elsewhere. My service has always been first rate, I have always felt the billing has been fair. I too have seen the negative reviews of others and they do not match my experiences with these people. in the last week Edit Went there on a Saturday, they said it would be an hour and a half before they would take me in, said it was ok to come back. I came back at 1 1/2 hours they took my van in about 20 mins late, so far so good. About an hour later a young lady came in with a bad tire talked to the same service writer I dealt with, oh no you know what is going to happen they looked at her car I a guessing cause I did not hear anything until I asked 10 mins later, they came back with a 800.00 estimate to completely replace my brakes, I said I only wanted an oil change, it took another 45 mins to get my van out of the shop, by that time I told the other service writer that the placed "sucked" and it should not take two hours for an oil change, he just shrugged his shoulders. Bait and Switch Scam. While getting an oil change they recommended that I replace 4 tires and provided me with a computerized estimate. I passed on the estimate for the moment as I was short on time. The next day I receive an email coupon that offers "10% off your tire estimate". Two weeks later I schedule an appointment to install the tires. I mention the coupon on the phone and Josh says that he will look at it when I arrive. Upon arriving Josh informs me that they will not honor the coupon with the estimate as proposed. They would honor the coupon, if they can revise the estimate upward by removing discounts. The estimate clearly stated "This is Your Estimate". Mr. Tire knew what the estimate stated when they sent the email offer. I responded to the offer before the expiration date. Mr. Tire had no intention of honoring they coupon. They are running a bait and switch scam. They value corporate greed over integrity. read more

I took my car here last summer to get some basic work done before a long trip. Despite having an appointment, they took forever to get to me. But the worst part was, they removed an undercarriage guard from my car to do the work, and then did not put in back on properly. When I was driving away from the shop, it fell off in the middle of the street and became damaged, which I was clearly upset about. After complaining to them about it, they said it wasn't an essential part (which isn't even their right to say, seeing as it's my car). Finally, they said they would put it back on (despite it being damaged beyond repair), and I had to argue AGAIN to get them to replace it. Since I was only in town for a week, they said it would be delivered and then I'd have to come back in to get it reinstalled. Unfortunately, it didn't come in before I left for my long road trip, and they said they would ship it to me. Well of course they never did, which shouldn't have been a surprise. Anyway, they do shoddy work which leads to more complications and problems, and then don't hold through on their promises. I would avoid them at all costs. read more

I have been sticking up for this place for years while others have continued to tell me their horror stories about their interactions with this location. I have been a loyal customer for my tire needs on all of my vehicles for about 5 years. That being said, I am done with this place. The last 3 times I have been here, they have continued to push services and products that I do not want or need. I spent $830 on brake pads and 2 new tires that I did not need yesterday, Wednesday January 7th, 2015. I needed back brake pads, and for some reason let them talk me into buying new tires that I did not need. I took half a day off on Wednesday to get new brakes. I dropped my car off at noon. I did not hear from them until 3, when someone called me and told me I needed new brakes, tires, and a lot of other services I did not want or need. The man said he would call me back when my car was ready for pick up. After 4 more hours, I still had not heard anything from them. I got a ride back to the location, where my car sat. I asked the man at the counter if my car was ready and he said yes. Why no call to tell me my car was ready? On my way to an important meeting today, one of the brand new tires I did not need went flat while I was on I-83 headed towards Baltimore. I missed my meeting, and have been suspended without pay from my job. All of the horror stories you hear about this place are true. Avoid this place. My car is 10 years old, I only get my tires from Mr. Tire. I never get my car serviced there. MY husband does oil changes and local mechanic does other work. They always give me excellent service and my car is in and out in less than the time estimated. I guess it all depends on who you get to do the work. I am always treated with loyal customer courtesy. Scam artists. I had gotten tires last year and brought my car in for the free tire rotation. They told me my front my front struts were 'blown' and i had about 2 weeks before the fluid was completely gone and quoted me $700-800 to fix (and also offered GM credit card to pay for it) Got a second opinion who told me there was nothing wrong with my struts. Went back to Mr Tire to get an explanation. They begged me to let them have a look. Took a half an hour before bringing me back, showed me grease smears on the struts and some altered paperwork, now claiming that my struts were 'seeping' and while I had a few months, I should get them replaced. And they offered to give me the best price. I am a woman - they think I'm an idiot. I go home, clean off the grease smears that I am positive they put on there. I have driven my car for 7000 miles since then. Struts are as dry as when I cleaned them. So much for 'seepage'. The private mechanic/garage I went to for the second opinion said this sort of thing is very common, and that the service managers earn a commission on any unscheduled work they can convince a customer they need. And apparently they are willing to lie for it. The men I dealt with were very nice. Seemed to genuinely be concerned. Very convincing actors, which makes me that much more disgusted. I didn't lose any money on this incident, but question everything they've done for me in the past. They've lost me forever as a customer, and I hope to spare some other people from getting taken advantage of. Go somewhere else. And if someone 'finds' a problem you didn't come in for, get a second opinion!!! read more

I brought my car here to get a screw removed from my tire and the hole patched. After a few hours of them looking at the car, they called to tell me that they wouldn't patch the tire and needed to replace it. They also informed me that there was a screw in one of the other tires as well that couldn't be patched, so it would need to be replaced. They then said that because of the one tire needing replacement was a rear tire, that I would need to replace the other rear tire since it would be considered too worn down for the car to be balanced. I was not happy with this answer and decided to go pick up my car and repair the tires myself. I easily repaired the first tire I brought the car in for and went to replace the hole in the second. Clearly this place didn't look at this one closely or even bother to leak check it. The screw hadn't even penetrated the tire where it needed repair or replacement. This place is very incompetent. After dealing with this, and the fact that I had my oil changed at another Mr. Tire location and with an appointment, still waited 2 hours for them to complete this, I will never ever return to Mr. Tire again. read more

I will never use Mr Tire ever again. I've continuously tried to give them second chances and opportunities to fix things, filled out surveys and etc but never again. I've gone to them for simple oil changes and they've always messed something up. First time, they didn't reset the oil change sensor and they took an hour and half to do the oil change. Not a huge deal so I decided to give them another chance. The next time, I specifically asked them to not rotate the tires (their "free" offer) and they rotated them anyway, putting my snow tires on my back wheels which was super helpful for my FWD vehicle. This last time, I made an appointment online (my mistake) and when I showed up, I was informed that they wouldn't be able to fit me in for my appointment time. A couple suggestions: If you're going to disregard the online appointments, then disable the system and don't allow anyone to make online appointments. Also, if you notice that you have an appointment that you won't be able to get to, maybe call the person and let them know. From reading the previous reviews, this seems to be a big issue for you guys. read more
