    $5 tiny cup of tofu
    Emily T.

Retro decor with simple country side vibe. Nice friendly service but way over priced for sub-par dessert. $5 for a tiny cup of tofu, way too overpriced. (Larger cup can be bought across the street at Doan's for $3)The quality is not even close to the pre-made tofu dessert that are available at the store.

Chicken Noodle Soup and Banana Blossom Salad are the highlights here. Both dishes are flavorful, fresh, and among the best we've had. The dessert, Tofu in Ginger Syrup, is a rare treat that is difficult to find anywhere else in the area, making it a must-try. The service is warm and friendly, with a welcoming family-kitchen atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. A great spot for authentic, comforting food.

2nd visit: Came back to try more dishes. The fried chicken with rice was really good--crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. However, the egg noodles and chicken broth were only room temperature when served. They kindly offered to reheat it, but unfortunately they microwaved the entire bowl, which made the crispy chicken soggy. That felt a bit careless and took away from the dish. 1st visit: The restaurant has very cute decor and a welcoming atmosphere. They're known for their chicken dishes, and you can tell the quality is high--free-range and well-prepared. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The only small miss was that they forgot the salad sauce.

This is not Sài Gòn style PHÁ Lấu/ this chinese style $19 .

I was really excited to try what they advertised as Saigon-style phá lấu, but it wasn't authentic at all. It tasted more like the version served in Chinese restaurants. The food came in a deep to-go bowl with only a tiny portion at the bottom, which looked very unappetizing. My bowl was mostly tongue meat, so I couldn't eat it. Definitely not worth the $19 price tag.

Everything had a very authentic, homemade feel, and it was nice to find a place that offers so many Huế-style and Central Vietnamese specialties. The small dishes were especially fun to share, and the sugar cane juice was a refreshing addition to the meal. Overall, Goc Hue is a great spot if you enjoy Vietnamese food and want something beyond the usual pho or banh mi options. We would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Amazing food. I am not sure exactly what I ordered, however…read morewe got numbers # 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17. Out of those six orders, 5 were absolutely delicious and I will be reordering those five each time. The sixth was still really great, but not my thing. The service is very good here and they are super friendly. The only bad thing is how small the place is so if youre there during full house you will have to wait. Although it's small, I wouldn't want it to change if it affects quality. So this place is dang near perfect to me. Prices are great as well. I would highly recommend making a trip out to this place. I'll definitely be back.

A spicy chinese noodle shop that far exceeded my expectations…read more Jin was an exceptionally attentive employee who would often check up on us and top off our waters. Excellent service despite having no reason to, since we ordered through a qr code located on the tables. I don't write about customer service unless it was genuinely something that was worth telling people. He gave us a good rundown of the situation of the restaurant and provided an in-depth explanation of the menu for my first time there. He gave us plenty of options to choose from and explained what consisted in each of the dishes. Which helped us ultimately make our choices and I enjoyed every single dish. The interior was well decorated with modern/futuristic reflective aesthetics. A great touch that made me love it even more was the dimming bags put over the spotlights adorned around the ceiling to help cut down on glare and make it a bit more comfortable to enjoy the atmosphere. The mixed vegetable salad was a very pleasant blend of sweet, savory, and Sichuan spice. I originally was going for the cucumber but I was interested in more variety and opted to try more of what they had to offer. It still hit as a refreshing appetizer to complement our other dishes. 9/10 The black pepper noodles were actually amazing with how it balanced out a lot of strong, potentially overwhelming flavors. The black pepper was perfectly seasoning the fiery stir fried bell pepper and noodles. The beef played a great supporting role to elevate the dish without making it all about itself. 8.5/10 The Number 1 rice noodles in soup was powerful without being indulgent. The flavors hit hot and hard but still savory and tastefully diverse. Jin recommended it as the noodles have a very pleasant chew and had a diverse plating with bok choy, pickled mustard, and an egg to top it off. 8.5/10 Overall I enjoyed this place completely and will 100% return when I come back to Texas.
