The flavors: I never thought I'd like pineapple in my ice cream, but the pineapple upside down cake took me back to the kitchen of my childhood (it was one of my mom's specialties,) and the pineapple didn't interfere, wasn't weird or chewy...it just blended so well with all the other flavors and textures.
