Cookies and brownies menu Nov 2024
Peter X.

I was inside Burbank Mall tonight and walked past Mrs. Fields with my wife. I remember that like 2 weeks ago, they opened one at Valencia Mall and I got some m&m cookies from there. So since we were inside Burbank Mall and my wife was going to go shopping, I came back to look at their cookies. I saw that they had the same deal where if you buy 3 cookies then you'll get 1 free. After I asked what was the price and saw it was cheaper than the Valencia mall food stand, I already made up my mind. I got 3 m&m cookies and 1 chocolate chip. The lady helping me was friendly during our interaction. The cookies were delicious but I think the dough was much softer at the Valencia mall location

Stale, hard and dusty (literally!) "white chocolate macadamia nut nibbler" cookie

I've had cookies from here before and they were good but not this time. I picked up six mini cookies from here today (three different flavors) and they did not taste good at all. They were hard and dusty. I was at the mall around 6pm, so the cookies should have been somewhat fresh from being made throughout the day. I even saw the person working there scooping dough to make more cookies. This was the biggest waste of $7!

Very kind and competent staff. Gave me all the time I needed to decide what I wanted and the cookies tasted great. The store looks very clean and decorated very well, props to the owner and employees. Would definitely come again!

The custom cookie cake! Came out perfectly!

This location is AMAZING! Due to unforseen circumstances I had only an hour to get a cookie cake for a celebration, and after calling this location they were able to get it done for me! The staff and management were SO helpful in helping me get this custom cookie cake completed in time, and I truly appreciated all of their effort. The cookie cake was DELICIOUS and the recipient was super happy about it. A big thank you again to the manager and staff here! Definitely recommend this to anyone looking.

Last time I checked there was no "m" in congrats!

Not as chocolaty as the bar but still good! Service is very helpful. They want to get your order to keep the lines moving. I admit, it's easy to just look with amazement at the pastry counter LOL. The inside has a few tables alongside the windows but everyone mostly sits outside or get things to go. Next time we go, will definitely try their pizza.

I came to pick it up at noon and it wasn't ready. My husband paid for it and the person making the pizza said 10 more min. I came back 15 min later and he said 10 more min and put the pizza in the oven as we were talking. It's been an hour and 15 min and I'm still waiting. He is offering to cancel my order and refund me as a way of solving the issue! No refund, no discount and all he can say is why are you causing a scene and calls it a miscommunication. When I asked for a manager, he says he is the one in charge. His arrogance and lack of customer service skills are the reason why this place deserves zero stars. TikTok and social media will get you so far! Real customer service is what brings customers back and you just lost a long time customer.

I just had to hop on here because I heard Lou say on his IG that someone gave him 1 star. I…read morecouldn't believe it ,what?! What do you mean 1 star? Do you have taste buds? Do you have any sense?! Anyway, turns out that person was upset that their order got canceled on DoorDash. If that person ever saw the line at Lou's, she'd understand why. Better yet, if she ever tried Lou's, she'd never have the gall to post nonsense like that. If you haven't had it, don't review it. Simple as that. As for ALL of the items at Lou's "Oh, aimé-je" it does NOT get any better. The croissants are hands down the best in America. The sandwiches (all of them): finger-licking good. The éclairs are the most delectable in town, as are the other pastries. And with ALL of that, somehow the best thing is still the customer service. I have yet to walk in there without seeing Lou personally chatting it up with customers, the man is everywhere. On sunny and rainy days he's passing out umbrellas, and on Mother's Day he's handing out wonderful gifts for all the ladies. The staff take their lead from him and are every bit as splendid. If you haven't tried it yet, it's not too late -- run, don't walk, this weekend. Your taste buds will file a formal complaint if you don't.

Got here early Sunday afternoon because the line was not absurdly long -- about 6 ish parties in front of us and waited around 15-20 minutes. The interior was really small and there's really only room for to place your order -- if you ordered a drink or sandwich you'd have to step outside to wait. There are a couple of small round tables covered with umbrellas for small parties if you want to do a small meet up or wait for your goods. We had wanted some croissants and apple tarts but unfortunately they had run out of the Apple tarts by the time we ordered (another excuse to return next time). We were convinced by the nice lady at the register to pick up not one but two almond croissants because they were fresh out of the oven and I'm SO GLAD we did. It was still hot/warm when we took our first bite after walking back to our car -- flaky amazing lamination with a steaming frangipane filling, for sure the best almost croissant I've had. The regular croissant was also good but not fresh/warm like the almond croissant so it left less of an impression but I can imagine it also tasting amazing if we got it fresh. Burbank is not necessarily close to where I live but I'm so glad we happened to stop by to finally try this spot out! I'd love to try the sandwiches and tarts next time!

This little place is a powerhouse in the realm of doughnut-tery!…read more You can VOODOO whatever donuts you like...You can Yum Yum, or Dunkin or Crispy Creme. It doesn't matter. THEY will NEVER MATTER after you've tried the doughnuts and other baked & fried yummerz here! They put love into their product. Why do I say that? Because they put pride in their product. As a chef I understand the complexities that go into making something as seemingly innocuous as a doughnut or donut - however you may spell it. The right ingredients in PERFECT proportions... The perfect temp & thickness... The perfect wait for the perfect rise... The perfect oil temps... (the oil they use is ALWAYS FRESH! In all the years I've been coming here - 39 years & counting, and the hands it has changed the quality has never waned. The transitions were seamless. FOLKS That never happens! And now, the three ladies that run it now have STEPPED IT UP!! You cannot go wrong with any of the MANY options they offer. From GIANT DONUTS to Croissant, buttermilks, raised, fritters, rolls, muffins, and more - oh and coffee - you will never go wrong here. When I encounter a grubbery that seems TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - I return several times to see if it was a fluke or a way of business. I tried finding a flaw. ANY FLAW. They don't exist here. The ladies are friendly, professional and courteous. I drive 10 miles out of my way to purchase the baked goods here for all the reasons I listed above. There is plenty of parking and they actually have a table outside for ambiance as well as convenience of enjoying it IMMEDIATELY! I'm sure once you tried The Doughnut Hut you'll feel the same way! Thanks for reading and follow me for honest YELPS. Support local businesses folks - especially when it doesn't make sense to not. Happy GRUBBIN'!

And the donuts are a decent size for the price. The donuts were fine. They weren't anything out of this world for us. They were very sweet, the icing on them was a bit much for us. We tend to like a more subtle, I think with our donuts. But they weren't bad at all. We were able to go up and grab our donuts quickly. However, after us a small line formed. So I could see this place getting busy sometime. There are a few parking spots behind the Hutt. You can also park on the street.
