I've been going to Ms Donuts for 15 years. This place is second to none. Great donuts, great selection of milk, bomb ham and cheese croissants. Ms Donut (the owner) is so mean and yells at me every time - I love her. She is the most entertaining donut lady ever. Sometimes she doesn't ask you what you want, she tells you what you want. Seriously with the 1-Star reviews, what do you guys expect? She makes donuts TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY. She never closes. That kind of convenience comes at a price - you get screamed at by Ms Donut. This donut shop is now run by a very nice young couple who have done wonders in cleaning and making it very nice. All of the previous reviews were based on the couple that previously owned it. As stated in many reviews, the previous woman was rude and the shop was dirty and disorganized. They are making great donuts and providing great customer service. I'm not typically one to care too much about BAD service, but the bad service I had previously received was so bad I had never returned for years despite it being a convenient store for my family. After seeing they were under new management I decided to give them a shot. Not only was I met with excellent customer service, the donuts were delicious. The donuts are fine, better than some and not as good as others, same as any other donut place. But the real reason I choose this place over another that is just as close is that the woman who works in the morning is so ridiculously bad at customer service that it's entertaining! Once I asked for a donut and she actually laughed in my face! Another time when she was giving me my change I had my hand out and she threw it (and I mean threw it!) on the counter next to my open hand and then before I could say anything she said "BYE!" and walked away! Seriously, if you want a good story to tell your friends and coworkers, go here in the morning! I know there's been a lot of negative reviews over the years, and for that reason I tended to shy away from this place. But after seeing it's under new management and seeing some more positive reviews pop up, I figured I'd give it a shot. It was fantastic!! The donuts are SUPER FRESH. I am done with Ms Donuts mainly because the little lady that runs the place is so dang rude. Walk up to the counter to order and I give a nice "Hello, how are you?", I get back a finger pointing at me and this scowl like I am a past friend who betrayed her, that's it. Ummm, ok. So I order my donuts and she like others said, toss them across the counter and give my total. I hand her my cash and thank her very nicely and all I get is her back turning around and walking away. This certainly was not a one-time thing, it's an every time thing. I am big at supporting small business but this is one I cannot support as they appear unappreciative of my business. I work closely with a lot of local chefs and the restaurants so understand the service industry, customer service is key. No donut is good enough with an attitude like that. Four in the afternoon and i get the munchies so I bust out my handy dandy yelp app to look up Ms donut shop since its in the same parking lot I'm already in. More unwelcome than a floating turd in a swimming pool... OMG I have never felt so unwelcome at a place of business in my life. All the other reviews about the owner lady is absolutely true. One look from Little Miss Sunshine will make you feel like you are in the principal's office explaining why you carved your name into the side of his car door. The way she dishes up your order is worst than the cafeteria lady from your middle school. To be fair, it wasn't always like this. I remember having a pleasant experience the first time I came here 5 or 6 years ago. Things just continue to get progressively worse. I really have to wonder what kind of a miserable life she leads if she behaves like that to customers. Maybe she's got some personal issues. Not sure if she needs charm school or serious counseling. But I digress. You will also likely notice the etched glass abstract artwork that adorns the donut display case. In fact, that's not art. Its scum and stain. If they spent 10 minutes using a magical liquid called Windex, you will actually be able to see the donuts. Aside from Ms Sunshine's disposition, the general clutter of stuff everywhere, and the seriously questionable lack of cleanliness, the donuts are actually quite good. I had a sugar twist. It tastes fresh and sweet and had a great sense of chewiness to it (al dente as the Italians would say). Bottom line: 5 stars on the donut but -3 stars for bad attitude for a total of 2 stars. I would buy donuts here again though I would have to brace for impact before waking in. read more

I asked Fond if she could make mermaid donuts and she made one and took a picture for me! We negotiated on the end result and the pricing was fair. When my husband picked them up for my daughter's party, they had made her a special birthday donut in addition to providing the others we ordered. Plus, the donuts were as light as air and SO fresh! I jut can't believe these people are still in business with customer service.. they don't understand what customer service is nor do they care.. I walk In and they're screaming in Vietnamese to each other, which I don't have a problem with it's they're language. I ask for a dozen please. 775 a dozen. I even let her pick the shitty dozen she picked.. then charged me 10.95... I still didn't say anything. She had me sign the slip and before I was done signing she rips it outta my hand.. I was stunned. I asked for my copy of the receipt, she just ignored me. I even through a ' have a nice day ' out there before I exited. Still nothing... let it be known I own a business that I just opened up on the same street 5 blocks away.. I would like to first off start by stating that the donuts here are very good, other than that, this place is horrible. The women that work here, especially the lady who owns the place is incredibly rude and bitchy. I've gone in here a few times as I work rite near here but today was the last time. She tells me that a small chocolate milk is $1.35 and a chocolate twist is listed for 85 cents which if I'm adding correctly is $2.20. She says it's $2.10, if she wants to be rude, I'm not going to argue. She comes back with my change of .15 cents. If i wasn't late for work and it was more money that she had shorted me I would have said something. On top of that, I asked for a chocolate twist and she gave me maple. MS Donuts needs to change it to "PMS DONUTS ". The lady that works there is absolutely rude! One time, literally before I can get my second foot through the door, she barks out " Whacha want?" I then replied, "donuts". After selecting my donuts and being tossed into my bag, I noticed a donut that I did not select, and one that I did select was not there. So I asked about the missing donut, she said" she dropped it and that she insisted that I take the donut in the bag that was a completely different type of donut, that I would like this one better. When I walked in, the floors were dirty and cleaning is not a priority- clearly there was crimps from 1902 in easy spots. There was old coffee spills under ever part of the counter. Before I could leave, I was asked "what do want". With polite, I told her what I needed and as I thought about what else I needed, she held the donuts out of the case about 2" from her hair (barf). So I received my total, I paid and my change was given back so violently, I almost dropped it. I hope the donuts are better than the service and I hope they spend their extra resources in making great donuts... It seems like I'm not the only one who think the service here is horrible. When I walked in, there were 2 Asian ladies (Vietnamese, I believe) behind the counter. One was on a cell phone, the other lady knew I was waiting to be helped with the donuts, started wiping the counter for a few minutes, without even greeting me. Then she finally, and reluctantly it seemed, asked if I needed help. Well, I got a dozen and paid. There was no "Thank you" or even a decent eye contact. I was really craving donuts and to be honest I'm not really picky about how they taste but I read the reviews saying the person serving them was rude but that's never really bothered me as long as I get the food. However, I felt so outraged by how I was treated I thought I'd add a review. After standing there for a couple minutes, she finally came out from the back and just stared at me without so much as a greeting. She was visibly annoyed with me even though I took less than a minute to pick out all my donuts. At the end she left the donuts just piled in the box so I had to rearrange it myself so it could actually close. She walked away at the end and I wasn't sure we were finished with the transaction until she picked up her cell phone to place a call. I have no complaints about the donuts though. read more
