I called MS Glass at 8:30am today, less than 2-hours later a mobile technician was on-site, and less than 2 hours after that, windshield was replaced. AMAZINGLY QUICK turn-around! I, thankfully, never have had to have a windshield replaced, so I don't have much experience with other vendors, but again, with the nearly instantaneous turn-around, am very pleased. And, the best part is they worked with my insurance -- cost me nothing. If I had to pay out of pocket, perhaps I'd still give 5* (if was great price) or lower (if wasn't), but if I ever am in unfortunate position of needing glass replacement again, I'll definitely be giving them a call. read more

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I had the pleasure of having my driver's side window replaced here after someone broke into my car. After paying $180 for a new window, they informed me that the motor was broken in the window but if I bought the part they would give me a STEAL on labor and only charge me $90 to put it in. After having someone with a soul inspect my window motor, I was told that the technicians simply did not bolt the regulator to the new window and unplugged the motor. After PLUGGING the old motor in and buying new bolts, works great. I'm writing this one star review due to the company basically not trying to give me a refund on labor/installation. They charged me $220 to wedge glass in my door since they couldn't open it. (Broken glass got stuck in my door) I had my door opened by an auto body shop and since the body shop opened the door they installed the glass for me (might as well right) I call MS Glass (A MONTH AGO) with invoice in hand requesting my refund money for the installation fee. I was promised a call back the following day, did that happen? (OF COURSE NOT) I called back a couple days ago requesting my refund for the labor/installation fee. (NO CALL BACK) this place charged me $220 for one glass and didn't even finish the job. I don't recommend this place at all. Thumbs down. P.S at the bottom of the invoice it has a signature section that says "The above work has been done to my complete satisfaction" GUESS WHAT?! ITS NOT SIGNED!!!!!!! read more

Really shoddy place from labor to customer service. No electronic invoice so when I returned to show them that the windshield they installed was leaking - they put it on me to produce a paper receipt from months ago. Given it hadn't rained in PDX all summer I had no idea it would leak the first time it did. I received a phone call yesterday at work from my apartment manager letting me know that my '98 Honda Accord had been broken into and the entire front passenger window was smashed in. Since I was planning to use my car quite a bit this weekend, I wanted to find a shop that could do a day-of replacement to get me on my way. After calling around to several places, I got in touch with MS Glass. Their quote for the window replacement was the lowest out of everyone I called, and the representative I talked to (Melissa) was super friendly and willing to work with my schedule to find a time. They also came right to my car without my having to move it at all. So convenient! The gentleman who came to do the replacement was right on time (15 mins early, actually) and worked very efficiently - he was done in 45 minutes, as he predicted at the beginning. Very friendly guy. The quality of work was excellent - very smooth installation, no issues when rolling the window up and down. I wish I'd had cash to tip him! Overall, I'd highly recommend MS Glass for window/windshield repair and replacement. I had a great customer experience and I'm sure others will too. read more

I called the Milwaukie M.S. Glass Outlet come to my home and replace the windshield on my truck. The service I received over the phone was "OK" at best. The person was not that friendly. They told me that someone would be to my home between 1pm-4pm. That seemed like a bit of a long window, but I'm home with a sick kid so I'm not going anywhere. The guy showed up around 2pm and said it would take about 45 minutes to complete the job. It actually took a bit less which was nice. When I went outside to pay him, I had to ask how long to leave the tape on my windshield and anything else I should know about caring for the new windshield in the first couple days. He was a bit rude in answering. I got the impression that I should've already known all the instructions he gave me. Ultimately I chose to go with them because they were $50 cheaper than going with Safelite, and they are a local company, and I try to support them when I can. The $50 aside I think I would've been much happier with Safelite. The service I received over the phone with them was excellent (a little sales-heavy) but very informative and kind. I had a very short hold time, and was told they would wash the exterior of all of my windows and vacuum any broken glass (if applicable) as part of their normal service. The gentleman that replaced my windshield on the other hand, left dirty hand print smudges all over my hood and dash board. He seemed in far too much of a hurry to get on to the next job (and didn't speak english very well) so I didn't bother asking him to clean up his mess. When I called the office to inform them of my experience, I was offered up a weak-at-best apology and sent on my way. I wasn't looking for a discount or trying to ruin someone's day, just a customer informing a company I hired how they did. I think it's easy to say I will not be using M.S. Glass Outlet in the future. Like I said, they were a bit cheaper than Safelite to come to my home... but next time I'll splurge the extra $50. read more

Just wanted to share with you that I just had an expensive repair. MS glass replaced my windshield a few years ago and unknown to me, it has been leaking into my fuse box and was a very expensive repair to fix. They didn't seal the bottom continuously resulting in leaks. read more

I drive a 78' Datsun 280z and these guys did a great job. I had a lot of rust holes and they sanded, primed and filled the holes for me. Supreme effort to get the job done and done right. I don't any other shop would have put the extra effort in to deal with the holes that had developed under the casing. read more

I called the toll-free number for MS Glass and received a quote and an appointment for the Milwaukie outlet the next day. I took my car in, and the immediately when to work on it. The best part was that there was no attempt at an upsell, and the price was exactly the same as was quoted over the phone. It repair was delayed a couple of hours because the wrong rear window was sent... but they got the window and had the car fixed and only 1 hour later than they had originally told me. They get a 5 - they called immediately to let me know there was a delay, and were extremely apologetic over the phone. I think that kind of small blip should not result in their score being downgraded. read more

My car was broken into a couple of days ago and along with stealing some of my belongings, the perpetrator broke my window. I was so bummed to come out and witness the aftermath and knew that I needed to quickly replace the broken window and clean up all of the broken glass. I called around to a few places and found that MS Auto Glass was going to be my best option. When I arrived I received the best customer service from their team of professionals. They were able to get me in and out within an hour and a half and I left with a new window and a thoroughly vacuumed vehicle. It's such a violating feeling to have your personal property vandalized. Melissa and Lynn were very helpful today after a loading accident with a large organ left the back window of my Subaru Forester smashed out (yeah, the kind of organ you find in your Grandma's house or at a MLB ballpark back in the day; I'm a musician and it's a long story for another time). They then called me back and told me $150....I talked them down to $135 because I really am a poor sob. They said it would take 75 mins...it has taken two hours so far and they are not done. I took m White 1998 Acura Integra in or a windshield on 2/28/2014 Got my car back a couple of hours later with a nice shiny windshield, Then Drove my car straight home and noticed couple of things I got from MS Glass that I Didn't pay for while My car was in there Position. A nice New Dent in my quarter Panel, Scratches In my Windshield, and a Split in the foam on my drivers seat from the installer putting his knee on my seat to cut the old windshield out. I talked to John ( Manager) about the damage and he claimed the dent didn't happen at there place of business but he admitted that the installer (Melvin) Had to put his knee on my seat to push the old window out. John was only willing to put another new windshield in my car to fix the scratched one they put in originally. As for the dent in my quarter panel and the Wrecked Drivers seat John told me to Get a hold of the person who sold me the seat and take that up with them. WTF??? and the Dent its still in my car, I notice it every time I walk by my car. All I wanted was a new windshield none of this hassle, wasted time, and stress. My car was parked behind this MS Glass location and they dropped a large box onto the front of my vehicle, significantly denting and scratching it. The manager of the location, Melissa was very kind and tried to be helpful, however, her higher up Aaron was aggressive and manipulative. He refused to give me the company's insurance information and offered to "fix" the damage at a highly questionable "body shop". I preferred to have the work done by the body shop I trust and I sent him their estimate, which he refused to pay. I now have to take the time to go to small claims court to try to and recoup the damages from their mistake. read more
