I had the unfortunate experience of a rather large rock hitting my windshield, and it was immediately apparent that it would have to be replaced. I began the task of trying to find a company that I felt comfortable allowing to work on my car. My car is twenty years old and I am the only one who works on her, because I am the only one that I trust. A windshield however, is not something that I can do. So, after hours of researching every glass company that I could find, I found SIR Glass. After reading their reviews, and reading the bio on their website, I decided that this is the company that I would use. My first point of contact with SIR Glass was with a wonderful gal by the name of Michiko; she was extremely pleasant to talk to, and help me with the insurance company. I decided that I would go with the OEM factory windshield, which meant that after my $100 deductible, I also had to pay the difference between OEM and aftermarket which was only $35. so all in all it only cost me $135 for a factory replacement on a 1999 Crown Victoria, which is awesome to say the least. The day of my appointment I was still very nervous to say the least. When the technician arrived, who's name was Evan, it became VERY apparent to me within a short amount of time that he not only knew what he was doing, but actually cared about doing a quality job(imagine that, in this day and age, a person who prides themselves in quality and not just cranking out jobs). It only took him about 40-45 minutes to complete the task, as I had removed all trim and parts that I thought would be in the way( I am very protective of this car ). Evan was very polite, and was not stand offish like so many these days. the personal touch of communication put me to ease rather quickly, and I honestly enjoyed the experience. I will always recommend SIR Glass to anyone with auto glass needs. I would like to thank Evan the tech who worked on my car for a fantastic job. I would like to thank Michiko for the pleasant conversation. And I really would like to thank Shaun for owning a great company, hiring amazing people, and also for his service to our nation. I recently got my windshield replaced by Sir Glass. My experience was frustrating. They are not located where google maps or yelp says they are, instead they are located in the back of a Toyota dealership on 55 NE Broadway. They instructed me to go into the service center at the dealership when I arrived. The folks who work at the dealership seem frustrated dealing with Sir Glass customers, each time having to call over to the business next door and have someone come get their customer. After dropping my vehicle off, I received a phone call 2.5 hrs later stating that my windshield was replaced but that now my car won't start because it is out of gas. I was almost certain the car shouldn't have been out of gas. They said I needed to bring a gas can to get it started. I had to ride my bicycle across town to pick up a gas can, fill it, and ride back to the dealership with my bicycle and my gallon of gas (about 10 miles). When I arrived, I had to annoy the overworked Toyota service center employees letting them know I was ready to pick up my vehicle, have someone from SIR walk over to come get me 10 minutes later, to walk me to my car. I pour the gallon of gas in the tank and try to start my car up, it still won't start. It turns out the battery was dead because they left the lights on during the windshield installation. After spending another 10 minutes jump starting my car, I'm able to make my way home. This whole process took way too long! They should know better than to leave the lights on during a windshield replacement. Update: Sean from SIR was very helpful in following up with me regarding my experience and wanted to assure me that my experience was unusual. He was very apologetic and helpfully fixed a broken part on the car that was damaged during a previous windshield replacement. He refunded me for the trouble. I would consider their service again but may suggest their mobile service to avoid the hectic Toyota dealership. read more

Called in late on a Thursday for a quote, Shaun returned my phone call within a few minutes. Answered all my questions, gave me a list of options with a quote for each of them as well as input on the type of quality each glass provided. I decided on one of the upper tier windshields for my 2011 Audi A3 and he booked me for the Friday morning, the earliest he could because I had called in late in their business hours on Thursday. He provided me all the information I needed on how to get there and who to contact when I got there, even sent me a text that very morning! Upon arriving I contacted John who I was referred to in that morning text, John came out immediately, greeted me and shook my hand. Told me it was gonna take roughly an hour up to two hours tops. I gave him the keys and had breakfast at pine st. biscuits which is very near to their location(walking distance). Exactly an hour later, Toby gave me a call telling me my car was all good to go and he would meet me at the area in front of the waiting lounge. Pulled my car up, it looked great! I didn't expect the difference to be noticeable but the new windshield really made my car look better. He gave me a quick run down on what they did, and what not to do for the next few days while the glass was still settling in. I was able to do a split payment of cash and card right there on the spot. Toby answered any questions I had and reassured me if anything went wrong for any reason, to come right back to them and they'd take care of it. These guys are very professional, provide the best service, and extremely friendly. I can say I would wholeheartedly recommend them to EVERYONE and ANYONE who needs any sort of auto glass service. I've never felt more satisfied and confident in a business transaction. These guys are the best in town. read more

I want to commend Shawn, Nick, and Cameron and the Sir Glass company for their empathy, compassion, and prompt service. I have a Tesla 3 and as I was backing it out of the garage, our heavy garage door started to close. (Still not sure why this happened.) When the garage door and Tesla roof/back panel met, the Tesla panel broke. Tesla formerly handled the needed replacement in its local sales and service center but told me it can no longer do so due to lack of capacity. Tesla recommended Sir Glass. Shawn spent time on the phone with me to assure me that even though it is a recent development that Tesla no longer replaces auto glass not covered by warranty that his shop had technicians with the expertise to replace the glass. Nick spent a lot of time on the phone to try to order a replacement panel from Tesla. When it became apparent that due to likely supply chain problems, it could be months before Tesla would be able to provide a replacement roof panel, Cameron came to my home and covered the panel with clear adhesive that may help to keep any moisture from getting into the car so that it is drivable while we wait for delivery and installation of the replacement panel. Another technician arrived to assist while Cameron was applying the adhesive sheet. Unfortunately I do not remember his name, but this technician, Cameron, Shawn, and Nick could not have been more helpful or conscientious. Dealing with them took some of the sting out of what has been an unfortunate event. I will update this review when Sir Glass is able to obtain the glass panel from Tesla and install it. Meanwhile, please consider using Sir Glass for your auto glass replacement needs. read more

Avoid this company! I had a windshield replacement done on August 30, 2024, and it has been over two months with no resolution for the damage they did to my car during the installation. They cut my car's headliner and failed to calibrate the camera properly which led to my driver assistance features not working. They sent out a service representative to investigate the driver assistance issue and they were unable to find the problem and recommended that I have it assessed by the dealer, at my own expense. When I finally managed to arrange for the manager, Nels, to inspect the installation, he found that the camera was not connected. My driver assistance has not been working properly since the install and I brought it into the dealership to have it looked at. After evaluation by the dealership, I was informed that the camera wires were damaged, and it was not secured nor calibrated properly and would need to be replaced. When I found the cut in my headliner, I reached back out to Nels and was told he will have to investigate it. I have not heard anything back after multiple attempts requesting a follow-up. I have since made multiple attempts dating back to September 23, 2024 to contact the company for assistance in covering the costs associated with these repairs. Unfortunately, I have received no follow-up communication, nor any steps toward resolving these issues. I would not recommend this company due to their lack of accountability and poor customer service. read more

If you need your windows replaced, call these guys first and save yourself the hassle. They are the second place out if three that I called, and not only did they have the cheapest quote ($85 cheaper) but they would come out to me, so I didn't have to drive to some shop with two broken windows. A little back story, on Thursday night/ Friday at 1 am someone broke both my front windows while I was at work, I called these guys at 11 Friday morning after I woke up , and told them that as soon as I could come up with the money I would call them back. Sean assured me that I could have them replaced that evening. I called them back around 1:30 after I figured the money part out, and Sean said that they would have someone out between 5-7 pm because they were very busy. I was so glad that they could get this done that day. John showed up about a quarter after 7, after calling and saying he was running a bit late. When he got here he was kind and ready to work. He said I was his 7th client that day, and 4 others were break-ins too. Even though he had been working all day and it was freezing out, he worked in the dark with the only his spotlights. After about an hour and a half of meticulous work and nice conversation John was done. I am so grateful to these guys for their hard work and dedication to helping people in a really crappy situation. Thanks again for being awesome, I hope I never have to call again, but if I do I'll call SIR Glass. read more

I got a small crack in my windshield that steadily grew over a few months. Years ago, I'd had a windshield replaced by a very well-known national company, and the glass was simply inferior (lots of distortion at the edges). As a result, I wanted to go the OEM route this time, even if I had to pay more. When I went to a Subaru dealership, I was told they didn't do glass, but the service rep gave me a flyer for Sir Glass, saying they were his recommended shop. A quick call provided me with some education about different brands/lines of glass, and at the end, I was confident enough to schedule an appointment. John showed up at my place on time and graciously answered the rest of my questions, even letting me watch the process and giving the history of the company and his experience in the industry. Everything was completed in the quoted time, and the cost was low enough that it didn't even hit my insurance deductible. All the job info was emailed to me, and payment was taken right there via mobile device. I'm happy to report I have not noticed any change in distortion or road noise from the original glass; it's literally good as new. When combined with the skill I saw during the job, the result is I will not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone I know looking for vehicle glass work. read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - I recently just moved downtown Portland, and my vehicle was broken into immediately. Out of all the companies to call locally, I decided to go with Sir Glass. Initially, they came out to install one window, worked fine. Thirty days later that same window they installed began to not roll down. I called the office to speak about my warranty, then Mike tried to upsell and tell me it was not their fault, but to buy new parts and pay them again for installation. I negotiated and he then sent out a technician who came to checkout my window. Once he arrived, he disassembles my door and broke the control center for my windows, now malfunctioning the mobility of my passenger side window, which was already working. They then blamed it on the wear and tear of my 6 year old truck. To fix the issue, the owner, Shawn told me to contact Lithia Jeep. However, Shawn has not made any efforts to make the issue right. Seems like he has been buying time and giving the run around to avoid negative feedback. Very unresponsive with communication and unlikely to resolve issues his company started. Would not trust or recommend to work on your vehicle. They will break it and then blame you! read more

10 out of 5! I'm giving 5 stars only because I can't leave a higher number. I have never had to replace my windshield before so I went online and requested quotes from 5 different companies at the same time. It was 6am and none of them were open yet. I expected calls later that morning but at 8 am I received a text from SIR AUTO GLASS asking if I had time to talk about my quote. I said I did and within 5 minutes I receive a phone call. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He explained that since I had to pay out of pocket, I didn't absolutely need a few things and that if I was ok with not getting them I could save some money. Come to find out after receiving more quotes later in the day, they saved me almost $300! And they also had the soonest availability AND could come to me. I'm a stay at home mom with a 4 month old and a very active 5 yr old so them coming to me was a definite plus. The work was completed and everything back to normal before I had to pick my other child up from school. I would and will recommend them to anyone needing to replace a windshield! read more

Outstanding service by very professional techs. Our Mercedes GLC43 windshield had a rock chip on the driver's side. I wanted to get it sealed to prevent a spreading crack. I got several quotes through Yelp and a response from SIR telling me they could not do the repair because of the location in the driver's field of view. They recommended replacing the windshield and that they would cover my comprehensive deductible. The windshield was special acoustic glass and I wanted an OEM replacement to make sure it would be as good as the original. Kip worked with my insurance provider to arrange for an OEM replacement at no cost to me. The tech showed up as scheduled and did the replacement in my garage. The replacement took less than an hour. Midway through the replacement, another tech showed up with special instrumentation to recalibrate the forward looking cameras that provide the lane keeping assist. The quality of their work was outstanding. If you need windshield repair or replacement, you can't go wrong with SIR Glass. read more

Our back window was broken out and Sir Glass came out and completed the repair. They have outstanding customer service and qualified technicians. I thought there was a problem with the back window wiper and defrost were not working and called for assistance. They had a service technician come out the next day to service the window. The technician was prompt and polite. After the service technician looked at the window assembly we realized that the window was not fully closed due to my error and one it was fully closed everything worked correctly. I apologized for my mistake and the technician stated that it was okay they just wanted to make sure everything was done correctly. There was no extra charge for the service call. I have never experienced such outstanding customer service. I recommend this company to everyone there process is professional, efficient and reasonable. I contacted Sir Glass because of the reviews on yelp. I talked to Shawn and he was competent and recommended the right glass for my vehicle. I chose to upgrade the windshield to the premium brand. I scheduled the mobile service as it was very convenient. Moses the technician explained the process to me and requested the car be unlocked. He then went to work replacing my windshield. Upon removal he let me know that during a previous replacement the molding around the windshield on the left side had been glued into place and removal will entail damaging the trim molding. Moses then check the replacement cost and I gave him the go ahead to complete the installation. Moses finished the work and I was pleased with his work. He mentioned that he would call me when the trim molding was available to install. Moses then came out one more time and replace the trim molding. I am very happy with Moses and Sir Glass. read more
