Wanted to try a new lash place so gave Mini Beauty Eyelash a try. I didn't like the way my lashes…read morelooked in the end but it wasn't entirely their fault because I didn't explain myself well enough. There were also a few other things I didn't like about how the tech did my lashes so at first, I was just going to decide to not go back here and not write a review, but when the lashes started falling out, I felt so bad for my natural lashes that I can't help but write this review, so here's what happened. The appointment was reserved for an hour and a half, but she told me she was done within 45 minutes. This is strange to me because other lash techs have told me I have more lashes than a regular person so it normally takes the whole time and even then, they don't usually cover each lash. It also hurt more than usual. She was pulling on my lashes quite a bit, but again I didn't complain. After a few days, the lashes started falling off taking a bunch of my natural lashes along with it. Attached is a picture of the lash CLUMPS that fell off my eyes. If you can tell, there's about ten of my natural lashes that fell off with a bunch of fake lashes and they were all glued together. I have never had this issue anywhere else. Please don't go here. They rush their appointments and don't care about your natural lashes. At the end of the day, you'd be lucky to have any lashes left.

She makes you feel comfortable immediately, and is very careful and meticulous with her work. The studio is very clean and peaceful, and she is the only lash tech I've ever had who will wash her hands each time between moving from different clients. Such a small detail but so important and I noticed this the first time I came to see her. Her work is always on point and each time, I leave her studio with the best lifted lashes. I decided to book an appointment at Sumi Lash in Pasadena due to its close proximity to my house. To be honest, I was a bit nervous after reading all the negative reviews. Everything from how the lashes were not long lasting to how their eyes burned during the application process made me wanted to cancel my appointment, but I really needed to get my lashes done for the weekend so the desperate side of me decided to stick to it. I had initially made my appointment with a tech by the name of Cindy for 9:30am, but then I received a text notification that my appointment was updated to 10:00am with Tina. The day before the appointment, I received another text from Sumi asking if I would be able to come in at 10:15am instead, which I was okay with. I am very familiar with the area so I found the place and parking without any issues. I arrived on time and only waited about 5 minutes for Tina. The check in process is all the same for all Sumi locations - check in on an ipad with your phone number. Tina was very friendly, and went over styles with me. There was some burning from the glue but it wasn't too unbearable. I was done in about an hour for a full set of Volume Wispy lashes. The total including tips cost me about $160+. The verdict: I was VERY happy with how my lashes came out. It's been two weeks and I still have the full set of lashes. I am glad I did not back out of my appointment after reading some of the negative reviews, and I do plan on scheduling my next appointment soon for a fill.

Be prepared to wait about 15-30 minutes past your appointment time, as the lash tech (Elaine) is usually finishing up with another client. She was sweet, and the overall vibe was calming. I even fell asleep during sessions thanks to the soft instrumental music. However, the lashes themselves were just okay. At all three appointments, my eyes burned during and after the application, and I had to use a fan every time to relieve the discomfort. The classic sets I got during the first two visits had poor retention. Maybe it's because they're classics. I experienced daily fallout, which was annoying as stray lashes would poke my eyes. The third time, I tried a volume set and they were gone by day 25, which I'm not complaining. The style looked bulky, black, and unnatural, but slowly started looking like classic with fallout (which was also itchy/poking me). I made sure to clean and fan-dry my lashes every other day. Also, keep in mind that switching styles doesn't come with any kind of pricing adjustment. She did check how many weeks had passed since my last visit, so I thought there might be a slight discount but nope. Overall, the lashes are cute, but I wouldn't return. I've since found a new lash tech where retention is better, and I've had no burning from the glue or daily fall out.

I heard about them from Groupon- paid $33 TOTAL from Groupon but ended up paying + $30 (sales talk) + tip. The place is ok to me, they have 2 beds on the other side that I did not get a chance to take pic 'coz there was another lady there, neat, I just wish they had dividers so we have a little privacy but I guess bec the place is too tiny that will not be possible. They are very busy, people come and go, one after another, and the same person and lady that Made my lashes alternate between picking up the phone and answering clients who just arrived. They have a restroom inside, I found parking right in front, side St free 2 hrs max - perfect. They accept Apple Pay.. Another point! Location: its a very small place and I didnt even notice it was a hair salon ( I didn't notice the name, but I suppose its high up where I couldn't see) so thank God the door said 1114 b/c thats the only way I found it. The inside looks like a converted house/living room. Very cute. I asked to keep the length, and she actually did! This NEVER happens. with stylists! It still was long, but looked fresher (which is exactly what I wanted) My side bangs were re-styled nicely and they're much easier for me to maintain and trim myself now, without messing them up. Had allover highlights done...I came in wanting one thing, and she recommended something else and It came out better than I could've imagined (Although, I'm already naturally blonde, and you cant really mess up a few blonder highlights). Total Price; $115 for cut and full highlights...not what i thought for the LA area..i was HIGHLY impressed! NOTE: they DO NOT take credit cards! Bring cash or check, or use the Wells Fargo ATM down the street! And get some Jamba Juice across the street after you come out feeling fabulous! :)
