She has gone above and beyond helping us pick out tile and going back and forth with us giving her upmost honesty and attention. Worked with Tracy at the Seattle store who lead me around the slab wareshouse despite the fact that they were closing. Had a sample with me, Tracy knew what granite I was looking for as soon as she saw it and found the stone I needed. Been looking for a match for 2 weeks and MSI had the largest onhand stock off all the warehouses I have visitted. Great selection - great customer service. Would highly recommend. read more

My designer was Doel, and he was great and offered us something to drink and made us feel comfortable , the showroom was wonderful, Doel kept track of all the choices we like and showed the slabs in the gallery. The slabs in the gallery were beautiful you definitely need to see the slabs in person. Doel also gave us samples of the final choices to decide and gave us a print out of our selections to finalize with our fabricator and added the price category on a scale of 0-8 on request to make a decision. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at MSI and would definitely recommend going to the showroom before you finalize your slab. read more

My husband and I visited MSI in Seattle, WA earlier this week after the countertop portion of our home remodeling project fell apart with another company and we no longer had access to the original marble slabs that we had previously chosen. We were referred to MSI by NW Granite and Marble out of Redmond, WA. MSI has a beautiful showroom and the lighting in the warehouse made it really easy to see all the detail in the slabs. The marble slabs we found at MSI were even BETTER than the original slabs we had chosen and the customer service we received from Chad was excellent. This home remodel has been a nightmare but it's the few people, like Chad, who are nice, professional and extremely helpful that make these hellish remodeling days better. I highly recommend visiting MSI to see all the choices that are available to you and NW Granite and Marble for fabrication and installation. read more

It is truly a mystery to me why they have anyone in their showroom on Saturday. None of the people there want to help or even can since they can't provide pricing on anything. I understand that they only sell to contractors but even having a range would be useful because we cannot make decisions in a black box. Most of all I was dismayed by the snoody service (or lack there of) provided by their staff. I really think they could save money by just having a kiosk and opening their doors on Saturdays since it is mostly the public coming in there and they clearly don't actually want to talk to the public. read more

High quality tile, some of it locally stocked. This showroom is quick and efficient to get samples and some design ideas. I went here after doing homework at local contractor furnishing mart to pick up samples, and the staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Me and my wife wanted to select some Sandstone Pavers. We arrived in the weekend @ Seattle location to find out that big area of the showroom is under "remodeling" and unfortunately we cannot see the pavers selection, We were denied a sample request and we felt we were urged to leave the place of business. We were offered a big catalog with nice pictures. Way to save the trees. As listed on their website they refused to provide any pricing quotes and they referred us to a local retailer. They do have some nice looking products but I believe that their customer facing sucks big time. Also they have to do something about their website to at least present accurate information about the showroom status. read more

Won't use them again. We PAID for our tile, yes paid in full, and had our tile reserved and when it came for the tiler to pick up and bring to our home to install, MSI informed us they had sold the tile. Now tell me...if I had paid for the tile, shouldn't it be there? Yes as that's usually how it works. However MSI gave it to someone else and set our job back several days. This isn't the end of the world. However MSI never once apologized for giving our product to someone else, never apologized for setting our project back additional days or even apologize for the fact my husband took the entire day off of work to be here for the tile install. Really, a simple apology could have salvaged our relationship but they took no accountability for giving our reserved and paid tile to another customer. ZERO customer service. read more

I bought slate from a tile company that was sourced through MS international. The slate was "gauged" which means it is supposed to be roughly the same thickness. They sent half of it at 3/8" and the other have at 1/8". I told them to make it all the same as no one is going to spend the extra hours trying to get 1/8' to match 3/8", can you imagine? So, the manager at MS International said "that's the way it comes" and they that would not get me the slate in roughly the same size. I checked floor elf, a site that is dedicated to pretty much all things flooring and they described "gauged" as "each tile is an identical (or nearly so) thickness". The generally accepted max difference with gauged tile is 1/16". Bottom line is that they expected me to deal with this. So, I took the tile back to the place I bought it. They were caught in the middle. The MSI manager basically lied and said "that's the way it comes". I know this because I did a little research and found that MSI sells through Home Depot. I checked online and found my local store had 670 square feet in stock. I went down there and sure enough, they were all the 3/8" gauged. Not one was the skinny 1/8" crap. To boot, I paid over a dollar less per square foot at Home Depot. The only downside being that MSI still got the business by proxy through HD. If you have a choice, avoid these guys like the plague. read more

Picking out Granite is one of the most stressful things EVER when remodeling a house. I mean you are stuck with this $5K+ decision for many years. So i have been putting off looking for granite for some time now. But eventually you just have to do it. So i went to random granite wholesalers i found online. Let me say this place was by far the best!! The customer service was outstanding. When you walk in you are greeted with coffee, tea, water, candy, you name it they have it. After you walk out in to the warehouse with a staff member who is NOT working on commission. They are truly there just to help you pick stuff out. I happened to get a sweet (Ukrainian - wish i could remember her name. She was great help!) girl who was very straight forward and opinionated. That was perfect. I for one cant make up my mind on things that i may be staring at for many years. There were two slabs i was trying to decide between for probably 2 hrs. I showed her the picture of my kitchen and BAM she showed me granite that i fell in love with. She bluntly said that the granite i was looking at would look terrible!. of course she always said "Make sure you love it, If so than stay with it". Now that is what kind of opinions i need to kick me in gear. I got the granite and what do you know it was cheaper than my original choice!. Oh best part was that i ended up staying well beyond their closing hours and no one complained. The staff just kept with me showing granite and moving slabs for me to look at the bundle. read more

They had a good selection for the color/style we were looking for. For various reasons we specifically wanted white countertops, however the girl "helping" us kept trying to talk us into different colors and styles. After having to convince her of the one that we wanted, she said to go pick out what slabs we wanted specifically be the colors could vary. We had to wander around and look for someone to help us only to find out the crane to move slabs was broken. He told us there would be no variation. Long story short, we were "helped" by multiple people but every time we asked a question we got a different response from every person that worked there. :/ read more

Rochelle, an exemplary 5-star MSI designer, is the reason to work with this company. From the first time I arrived, she has been professional, competent, and creative. She has gone over and above by offering to help with my remodel over email. I live far away so it is difficult for me to make trips there with my little kids. She has sent me countless messages with links to tile and design ideas. On one of my trips, I emailed her a half hour before I was planning to arrive and by the time I got there she was waiting for me in the lobby with tile samples laid out. She is so comfortable and welcoming to work with and even entertains the kids when we are there. We have spent time on the phone talking about ideas as I would have a few minutes pop up in my day to think about tile. Rochelle is so accommodating and makes you feel like you are her main priority. Contrast Rochelle with another MSI designer named Marcy who I would give zero stars to if I could. One morning I drove an hour to MSI in morning traffic with my 6 month old baby expecting Rochelle to be there. I asked the receptionist to get Rochelle and found out she was off that day. I was told that Marcy could help (who unbeknownst to me was standing directly next to the receptionist). I stood there for several minutes waiting for Marcy only to hear someone say her name. I realized she had been standing in front of me the entire time. She even looked at me when the receptionist said that "Marcy" would help me. She was not doing anything except standing there. Not helping someone else or on the phone. She did not even acknowledge me. I finally asked, "Are you Marcy?" She just looked at me and said "YES". No introduction. Not "How can I help you?" Not "Welcome to MSI, I'm a designer. What are you looking for today?" I said "Can you help me?" She just looked at me. The entire interaction was laughable. I couldn't understand how this woman was in a customer service position. She was rude, had no original ideas, and was not dressed in a professional manner (her clothes were disheveled and a mess). Every question I asked her she told me "No" with little other discussion or interest in helping. It was as if I was an inconvenience for her to have to help me. I asked if she had something like XX tile and she'd just say "No". She wouldn't offer another tile option or say "How about you look at YY tile to see if this would be a fit." I said "Aren't you the largest tile supplier in the NW??" She said "You should go to Pental or Daltile for your project." After 4 or 5 minutes interacting with her I was spent. I left. I drove there that morning to finish planning our remodel. My time is so limited. It was a waste of a trip and my time. That woman should be fired if that's how she treats customers. After making yet another trip to MSI and meeting with Rochelle, we finally got the project planned and the tile ordered. Rochelle keeps this place in business. If you are planning a trip to MSI, make sure to ask for Rochelle. read more

Ok, I bought special order tile from tile 4 less which was my mistake. After triple checking with them that I had all the needed paperwork they sent me to will call. Of course I didn't have the needed paperwork but that wasn't m s international's fault. Brandon at the warehouse and Gigi at the showroom acted to solve the error of tile 4 less. Michael at the warehouse was also nice. Jason from tile 4 less could learn from them. read more

I had taken the day off work and had visited several of the stone dealers in Georgetown looking for my new kitchen counters. It was a weekday - Friday, not super busy which is why I did not go on the weekend. This is a very stressful process since you are spending thousands of dollars are making decision you have to live with for a long time. While looking at slabs it's not like you can thumb through them. You need warehouse helpers and showroom staff to help you. Although I understand the concept of the slabs and blocks sometimes they have to move the slabs so you can see the characteristics you want or want to avoid. Especially when dealing with stone that has specific characters like marble. After having a somewhat stressful experience at another dealer I went to MSI. I was helped by Rochelle Jones who was amazing. Big welcoming smile from the beginning. She walked out to the warehouse and back several times with me and understood my need to see several of the slabs until I found just the right one. Key factor: She listened and made it about me - not her! She had several slabs (4) moved for me without even the faintest disapproval. Even the warehouse gentleman was kind. I ended up finding my granite - it was a great experience. Best experience of a very stressful day. Thank you MSI. Thank you Rochelle and your warehouse crew! read more

fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice... well, that's MSI. The first time we went in the woman helping us had no clue what was going on. She repeatedly told us that lovely marble slabs were all quartz (imagine our excitement! a true marble look for quartz durability!), couldn't keep track of what we wanted to see, kept pushing us to look at granite (not for us), and then as we expressed disappointment that the slab we wanted wasn't available asked us if we were ready to buy a slab. Um, no. Second time: a nice guy at the desk walked me to the slab I wanted to see, seemed knowledgeable, but then offered nothing else by way of customer service (not even "this slab is really similar, let me show you."). Third time: a guy walks towards me from behind the desk. I asked, "can you help me?" and he says yes. Walks me to their soapstone slabs, and the label just says "soapstone." Anyone who has done any research on rocks knows that soapstone is a type of rock and there are varieties based on quarry. I ask "what type of soapstone" and he says "grey." This is not a thing and I tell him so. His response, "soapstone is soapstone." Uh huh. I explain the different MOH hardness scores based on variety and he says "well, we can look that up for these." (spoiler alert, he doesn't actually follow through on this). Instead... he says "well I was actually going to do something else when you asked for help." what? I would have much preferred waiting for someone who actually wanted to be helpful than have half-assed service. Sigh. He ends up asking someone else to look up where the other slabs were, and a new guy walks me half way down the aisle and says "it's one of the first five." First, thanks for the great service and second, WRONG. the first 5 were all marbles and then single soapstone I had already seen. When I said, that isn't the block we were referencing, we already looked at that, he just shrugged. Seriously it blows my mind these guys do any business as I would GLADLY spend more to avoid working with them. read more

out of all the wholesalers (meta, Dal, OTM, & Pental) they have the most steps to put in a Purchase order and take the longest to load drivers. this isnt the first time it took hours to load even after "pre-pulling". the money you save their is not worth the trouble. read more

I have had VERY positive experiences with MS International in Seattle. The place has a tremendous supply of material, and the employees there are all TOP NOTCH. Every time I went there the staff was all too eager to assist in whatever my need was. I can't say enough about them. Kate has been extraordinarily helpful and has gone out of her way to assist me in not only helping me to choose a particular type of granite but also has been "priceless" in helping me to maximize my satisfaction in obtaining the needed materials to put in some gorgeous tile floors. Everything really turned out fantastic!!! I give Kate and the rest of the employees at MS Inernational (Seattle) the highest regards and ratings. I highly recommend this place.
