Passable sushi and hibachi in an area of town sorely lacking in those options. I got the Double Spicy Tuna Roll and it was good, if a little dry. The Pork Gyoza was a tad greasy but tasty, nonetheless. The fried rice here, though, is pretty damn good and the sauce that goes with it, well, I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I ordered shrimp fried rice with no eggs or veggies. Ofcourse when I picked up my order I was in a rush and had to get to work. My order was not correct and I called to tel them I could save it and bring it in the morning when they opened to get my order replaced the woman kindly agreed. The next day I go to replace my order and brought the messed up order with me... the man was nasty and rude and said that since I ate 2 shrimps out of the 4 shrimps he refused to replace it and threw my food that I paid for in the trash. The situation was so out of control that he said he was calling the police I told him don't worry I already called them. Had to have the police mediate the situation the police couldn't do anything about it. How could or would anyone throw away food that I paid for because they wouldn't replace it?! OHMYGOSH. I love this place. Salads are extra big and come with plenty of delicious dressing. Every sushi roll that I've ordered I love. I particularly like "the Cowboy." Comes with steak, cream cheese, avocado, and all around delicious goodness. I had never had steak sushi before and it left me craving it later. (I may or may not have returned two days later to get another). Also - love the hibachi - generous portion. If you can control yourself you might even be able to split it and eat as leftovers if you want. 6.50 for chicken, 7.95 for steak. They use a ton of seasoning - which I love. Only recently started charging for extra yum yum sauce. They do have an assortment of bubble tea. I've only tried the Thai tea flavor and its not as sweet as the thai tea I normally like but I keep coming back for more. They also use black pearls instead of clear...in case that matters to you. The owner takes the tips for himself, the employees get $10 a day as "tips" with how busy this place is and the fact that the employees start paying is $10 an hour is a JOKE. My wife and I were walking down the street to get ice cream, but saw the legit boba equipment through the window. I'm a bit of a boba fanatic, so we had to stop in and try. I got the traditional milk tea and my wife had a thai milk tea. Both were excellent. The tea was delicious, not overly sweet, just the right amount of milk. The boba was spot on as well. Without question, the best boba that I've had in the South. Much better than anything I've had in Alabama and Georgia including Atlanta. They have a nice "tea lounge" area in the back with a couch. Seems like a nice spot to study for students. The boba lady was very nice and even brought us the drinks when they were ready. They also have a hibachi. The food looked okay. A schoolmate of mine has been talking about Mt. Fuji since the day I met her. She has been a student at UofL for her entire adult education, so I guess she's had her fair share. This place is set up as a take-out only location. Walk in, order at the counter, pick up at the kitchen window. However, weirdly there are some tables set up along the wall and some high chairs situated so you can watch them cook the hibachi menu items. Idk if the cashier brings you your food if you eat in, or if you pick up at window and seat yourself. Doubt I'd sit down and eat there though.... but that's personal choice. Not because of anything on their part. As for the food... I ordered pork gyoza and two rolls - spicy something and something with asparagus. Sorry for the lack of detail. But guess what....both rolls were fresh and held together. Nothing special or out of the ordinary, but they were tasty. Pork gyoza was hot and seasoned properly. Overall, I was quite satisfied. There wasn't an abundance of choices as far as rolls go, but it is a fast food sushi joint so I won't hold that against them. It's worth another visit. read more

Hibachi chicken is my go-to! So yummy and fresh, plus the portion is huge. I only eat half and have to take the rest with me--which works out, because then I get two meals out of one! Definitely give the yum yum sauce a try. It's delish. Their bubble tea is super good and is made to order. It is not prepackaged, they just use a machine to seal it. The sushi rolls are basic, but delicious, the hibachi is worth a try, and the bubble tea is flavorful, but not too strong. If you go here, you should definitely try the bubble tea, but don't go too crazy because the tapioca pearls take some getting used to. I LOVE this place. A hidden gem if you ask me. Their hibachi is very cheap but it is very fresh! Fantastic value, great options, kind people, wonderful atmosphere. Going in, I was on a mission to get my wife sushi while our dog was outside. The bright cool colors are inviting. I was greeted by two people in the front counter taking to go orders and seating other customers. The menu was expansive, with plenty of great sushi options, lots of bubble tea, and a whole back menu of vegetarian options. I got myself a vegetarian house noodles, my wife a shrimp tempura and california roll, and a taro bubble tea for us to share. After a tip, it was just $21. The kitchen was right in the open, and I watched the careful prep of my sushi and fried noodles. When we went to eat the food, it was delicious, the noodles were filling and flavorful, the pickled ginger excellent quality, the sushi (as I heard) was really good. This is a great place, I personally love it, however you have to keep in mind this is FAST FOOD Japanese. Don't come here expecting Sapporo or Wild Ginger level. Food is delicious, portions are generous, fairly priced, and service is fast. Given the limited dining options in Old Louisville, this is one of the best place to go. The Hibachi is probably my favorite; a large portion of fried rice and wok vegetables with the meat of your choice. I you are willing to spend a few extra bucks, the chicken and stake hibachi is the best! The sushi is good, not great, but good enough to satiate the craving. Now, that being said, the dining room feels small when crowded; it can get loud. The ambiance is not the best, but you are not paying for a nice place anyway. I read a review for this place and the reviewer said that the place was terrible because of the layout, noise, and because you place your order at the counter rather than at a table and proceeded to compare Mt.
