This company is A+! I'm getting ready to sell my house and a panel in my sliding glass door had lost its seal and was very cloudy. Mt. Hood Glass was recommended to me so I called. They came out the same day to give me an estimate. The estimate was very competitive (better than others I had received) so I ordered on the spot. There is rust now on my truck due to Mt. Hood technician unable to properly seal the windshield. There was a lack in customer friendly service when I was there. He was nice enough not only to stay open while I made my way over there, but to cut a piece of mirror I needed. I had my car broken into so I needed my driver's side back window replaced. I chose Mt Hood Glass because I wanted to support a local company. I dropped off my car and picked it up 45 minutes later. When I picked it up, I signed off before I looked at my car (mistake). I was driving down the road and noticed that the tint was not the same as my other windows. I then called them and let them know my concern, I was told to stop by and talk to the manager. I stopped by the next morning and stated the my window tint was noticeably different from my other windows. He said well you had an after market tint on it, which I did not realize. I am expressing my disappointment because I walked away thinking everything was taken care of and fine. Why didn't I receive a phone call letting me know that the tint was off? Then on top of that they do not tint windows. So I paid out of my pocket to have my window replaced and now I have to go to yet another place to have my window tinted. I would have selected a full service company if I had known this. read more

Was working in Alaska and was informed by my realtor some squatters broke into my rental house!my 6 month pregnant wife was at work and we needed it boarded up asap and glass replaced. Charged me 400.00 for the board up and came out next day and replaced glass. Although I thought steep it was the emergency board up that warranted the price. Ok then at least it was fixed or so I thought... after getting back from my job in Alaska I was working on the house and I noticed it had a long crack in it starting from one of the push points used to secure the glass to the frame before the glazing is applied. My wife talked to Allen and he was very defensive as my wife mentioned how thin the glass was and how the crack came from one of the push points. He blamed it on the window frame... odd how the same piece of glass was in it for 50 years prior to his fix! So he agreed to replace the window only if it was from the push point. Well he replaced it and 5 days later it happened again! He was supposed to come back today and I've been here all day waiting..... no call no show. I've attached a picture showing the new crack coming from the push point AGAIN!!! Horrible customer service horrible pricing horrible workmanship!!! Horrible! After being referred to them by my car dealership I called and made an appointment with a very nice girl. Had everything set up with my insurance . Then the next day some guy named Eric calls me and said I have to pay for the windshield myself despite what my insurance says . He's refusing to bill my insurance even though they state they accept them. So I called my insurance and told them what he said and so she did a 3-way call with me and I got to spend the next ten mins hearing him yell and argue about how he won't take my insurance and her tell him that they are approving the price of the windshield and labor but he still refused to take it. I finally said I want another glass company and he said good go somewhere else I don't care. read more

Excellent experience. I had cracked my windshield due to my own stupidity trying to replace my windshield wipers, lol. I had contacted my insurance company and they scheduled me at their shop they use, big auto glass. They could not get me in for a month so I made my appointment. When it was time to to my appointment that other shop had over booked the day and told me I would have to wait an additional 1 and 1/2 hours for my car and that the process would take 2 1/2 hours, so I would have to sit at their shop for 4 hours to get my windshield replace. I said no and will find my own place. That week I called Mt Hood Glass and they got me in that Saturday at 7am and I was out of there at 7:45am with a new windshield. The technician and the office staff we very friendly and helpful. I can not say enough good things about this shop. If ever I have another glass issue, they will be my first call. I just had a great experience with these people. I had the trim on my FJ blow off when I was pushing against a good head wind when I drove up the gorge on Sunday. It had been a while since I got the windshield replaced by them and I wasn't sure about warranties etc. and had it been a year or what (terrible memory here) and I didn't have a receipt or anything. She took my last four of my card and my name and said she'd call me after looking this up. A bit later I get a call and she said she found it and they would take care of it! Without a receipt I figured I was screwed but they went through the trouble of finding this bill and honored it! So then she says "Well...can you bring it in tomorrow?" I thought what the heck for? Are they sizing it up... or wanting to check to see if there was damage from something so they wouldn't have to cover this?... NO... they got the part in and were ready to install it!! Much to my pleasant surprise. I have a brand new trim piece installed and I assured them that I would write a good review for them. And here I was all braced for the worst and would write accordingly. I told them that maybe they think they just paid for a hundred dollar part but I told them they just bought my un-dieing loyalty and that I would tell anyone that's looking for a glass job done to go to these guys. Even sitting there while they worked on it was ok because I could hear their great attitude and fun between the employees there. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I would have given No stars, but that is not an option. After having a new windshield installed and showing them the rearview mirror was mounted incorrectly I pretty much felt like I didn't know what I was talking about. So I said fine, I will go see what the Subaru dealership has to say, he says, good I do all their glass work for them. I was told by the dealership I was correct. So I went back a third time with pictures from another Subaru off the dealerships lot to make my case and was shown my old windshield and told again they did nothing different then when they took it off. I was also told they would not be throwing my windshield out again even though he had to fish it out of the dumpster. Who says this, unless they are worried about something. Finally, I get. Well maybe where we get the windshield from the connector for the rearview mirror was put down to low which is why this has happened. Okay, so they finally attempt to correct this issue, it came out okay but still not right. I will be taking it else where and see if I can get it corrected and if charged make this company pay for it. But I doubt that will happen. I can only say the 5 stars on here, must be friends, family members or co-workers. After the experience I had here can't even imagine something done right. read more
