This place used to be our favorite place before the pandemic. However, they changed quite a bit. Their prices are double and outrageous for the area that they're in. The food is still good but the price is not worth the visit. The wine is a cheap wine and it's double now And still has very small glass. We don't go here anymore. The outdoor patio was empty, which kinda seemed like a bummer at first, but we got Tomas all to ourselves. Chips and salsa, bam! Margaritas, bam! Faster than the blink of an eye! The margaritas were strong and the waiter didn't mind getting the bartender to kick them up a notch further. (Fast forward to a few drinks later) We are now tipsy. Feeling pretty damn good. We just demolished an order of steak fajitas. They were amazing. Steak was tender, the veggies were flavorful and soft, especially yummy were the mushrooms! They have some great people working at this place and it's worth going just to see them. Manny, Pat, Tomas and Lorena (who moved, sadly!) make the place fun. Pat is simply the nicest guy (He greets you like you're family) and Manny is unbelievably funny. Mucho Mas has been basically unchanged for years, so there are lots and lots of regulars. Tito and Sergio at the bar make good, strong drinks and serve the best Mexican Coffee (and the first) that I have ever had. The building itself is full of character. It was originally the site of Miceli's (an Italian restaurant) through 1972 and so it's fun (and easy) to look for evidence of the Italian place it used to be 40 years ago. Hilarious. The food is tasty, plentiful and filling. I recommend the Carne Asada, Tacos al Carbon, Arroz con Pollo, the Vallarta Crab Enchilada or Camarones Costa Azul. Sorry, I can't be more specific, but I have tried and really, really like them all. It really takes me some time to decide, sometimes. I love the albóndigas soup, but I understand the tortilla soup is good, too. So stop in for some drinks and enjoy the nice people. The chips and salsa are very good, too. This place is straight up Kitchen Nightmares status. Never...have I EVER had a restaurant try to pass off a cup of hot water, tortilla chips, a couple pieces of carrots and celery with a bit of grated cheddar on top as "tortilla soup". I mean WHAT?! I'd be ashamed as a mf if I were a server who set that down in front of someone. The flautitas were just two giant taquitos with dry meat, a side of overcooked beans and rice. The ENTIRE staff seem to be under the impression that they are doing you a major favor by being there. I mean, I get better service from the burn-out punk kid that works at the Liquor near me. What happened? New management? No management? Owner intentionally trying to crash their business? Stay away. FAR away. The salsa that came with our chips when we first sat down tasted stale and like it had been sitting in the fridge, uncovered for the past three days. The chips however were SO GOOD. If I could give negative stars, I would. First time going to Mucho Mas for dinner. We were seated right away as it wasn't crowded. A waiter brought over chips. I grabbed a chip, and there's half a body of a dead cockroach on a chip. I showed it to the waitress, and she claimed that it was pork. Seriously? I know a cockroach when I see one. Needless to say, we walked out immediately and told the waitress that we would never return. Of course, we will report this to the health department. Having lived in the Valley for 35 years a friend and I drove outside of our normal radius to sample a difference Mexican place. There's so much good Mexican food around here that it's tough to leave our normal mainstays. However, we figured there's always something better. Unfortunately, Mucho Mas wasn't it. We arrived after 9pm and received good service, but the food was sub par, at best. The chips and salsa were well below average. And, in this part of California, with so many great salsa options this was a sad sight. The salsa at Rubio's, Poquito Mas, etc, blew this away. Destroyed it. The guacamole was fair, at least. The tortilla soup was even worse. It looked and tasted like someone poured water into the cup and added a few tasteless veggies. It was that bland. Normally, there's a hue in veggie soup filled with spices, flavor, etc. This was terrible. My friend had a bean and cheese burrito, which she said was fair. My chili verde was average, too. Meanwhile, the black beans were the saltiest I'd ever tasted. No really. The saltiest. It tasted like someone dumped an entire salt shaker in it. The pork and green sauce was fair. My friend brought me here when we couldn't get a table at Salsa and Beer and I was very satisfied. As a lover of Mexican food, I will say that the tacos were delicious. The portions were awesome and the chips were pretty good. The parking lot is small and kinda scary so if you can find street parking that may be a better option. The decor is great cause I felt like I stepped onto the set of a Zorro movie. The staff was nice, but they were a little short staff as it took a moment to get our check. This place was AWESOME! I got a HUGE plate of carnitas for only $8.95! The food was really, REALLY good. It reminded me of my mom's home cooking and that's why it brought back a lot of good memories. I went there at a weird time of day, early dinner - late lunch, so there was no waiting, no line and the food was served quite quickly. The food plates were huge and full of flavor. Our server was nice, but went missing for a little while and that's why they didn't get a 5-star. A Happy Accident! Yum! Went with the husband for Vanletine's Day. It was my first time, ended up there by chance. Had planned to go somewhere else and they were closed. Seen it a bunch, so decided to try it. Was a good thing!! Loved it! First off, I was really lovin' the atmosphere! its really got a great vibe goin'..tall ceilings, different levels, colorful, lots to look at, warm and spacious. It is cozy without having the other tables all up in your business! Our waitor was simply a gem, a real sweetheart. He was genuinely smiling all the time. This is the first time I've ever had Mexican food and actually ate chips and salsa after the meal. I just couldn't stop! They were THAT good. The special mixed drinks were just weird. I was so bummed when they got closed down pre covid because of a fire so I was worried that when they reopened it wouldn't be the same. I was pleasantly surprised! My bartender Sergio was back with many of the servers. They didn't skip a beat!! Food, service and staff are all still amazing and the fact that many of the staff came back after years speaks volumes to how the business is with the employees. I highly recommend! Came here based on someone's recommendation. I only had a chicken salad but it was very good, a lot of meat and a nice aesthetic. Very good prices: around ten bucks an entree. It was good food, authentic Mexican and the service was very fast. They even gave us the remote so that my boyfriend could watch his game. Free parking and an old, family restaurant. Could maybe handle a make over, especially outside. It's a really pretty sitting area but it faces a parking lot. Bougainvillea, vines or even a fence would help. Only complaint: brrr! The food was ok . My only recommendation is that this place get their bar together... I ordered a glass of Chardonnay, AND I don't know what I got. Horrible ! I sent it back. OK, let me just start with " DELICIOSO!" The food is quite tasty. Within the past 3 days we've been twice! 3 visits in the past month! And I've had 3 different selections each visit and they've ALL been flavorful. Must be to keep us coming back for more! For instance my last dinner order was the Steak Picado was ¡DELICIOSO! The beef was so tender the sauce tasty. The visit before that was the Chili Verde, again, very flavorful. Tender chunks of pork with that chili verde sauce, oh man is that tasty! Started off both visits with a Pina Colada, I'm no expert on drinks , but I liked'em! Now, both drinks WERE made differently both visits by the SAME bartender. Allow me to explain, the previous visit the drinks were made with the traditional coconut rum mix, quite tasty. The next visit, ordered the same drinks from the same bartender, HOWEVER, this time the bartender came out to apologize to us because within the previous 2 days the Pina Coladas were SOOO popular that they ran out of the coconut rum mix, BUT she could make the drinks with coconut flavored tequila instead. We agreed to the alternate recipe, it was tasty. We've been waiting for Mucho Mas to reopen ever since the fire AND COVID. The interior has definitely changed...booths gone, wrought iron gone, bricks gone. Now, one reviewer stated that the previous warmth, charm and ambiance of Mucho Mas was gone. True, the booths were replaced with single tables and chairs WHICH, according to server Pati, makes it way easier for staff to reconfigure the tables to accommodate larger parties, a plus for the restaurant and staff. Also, it is now easier for clean up purposes. The restaurant staff is friendly and have been quite attentive. Servers Patricio and Robin, both long time servers, are back and eager to welcome all. Also, the original cook is back and better than ever. All in all, we'll most likely be returning to Mucho Mas within the next 2 weeks for another DELICIOSO meal! read more

Our friends in Burbank took us here, and it didn't disappoint. Great portions of food for the money, for sure. Fantastic food, at that. We got some awesome tortilla soup, as well as a meatball soup that I can't pronounce the name of - they'll know what you mean. My wife and I split two combination dishes. I got the tostada plate, which had really one massive tostada just packed with beef, cheese, some avocado, etc. Huge! Also beans and rice on the side, which I don't tend to eat much of. She got the combination with a chile relleno, a taco, and a tamale...same thing. Just tons of food. All of it was rocking good. We all got margaritas, which were killer. My wife substituted vodka for tequila since she's allergic, and they had no issue doing this at all. They also have this melon margarita that was insane - my friend got it, but I tasted it.
