Super Cute Spot with Amazing Food! This place is so cute and cozy! The food is absolutely amazing--everything we tried was full of flavor. They also have some really interesting and delicious drinks that pair perfectly with the meal. Service was awesome! The staff were super kind, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. I would call this place good, not great. Mind you, I'm just rating on the coffee. I got the Iced Rose Bud coffee... there was definitely a hint of rose, it was good. The coffee only comes in one size.... I would have wanted a larger size iced coffee... The con, no indoor seating. I should have read reviews before I stopped by.. for a 90 degree weather day.. sitting outside is not ideal. So just know this is more like a grab and go coffee place, especially for summer days. I really liked this place. Whenever I went there the workers were always very polite and friendly, so I always made a point to try to go there after I went to the gym or after I did my grocery shopping at Trader Joe's. I've only gone to their location on Saturdays and I usually go early at around 8:00-9:00 am and all the times I've gone the service and food have been great. Decided to go yesterday, Sunday (02/23) at around noon and it was the first time I went inside instead of their side area to order. I could see they were busy with making the sandwiches, but still I was greeted by the 2 workers making the sandwiches. I proceeded to greet the cashier, blond girl with curly hair, she seemed annoyed and moody which I get it when you're overwhelmed with orders you can be irritated, but doesn't mean you can't at least greet people nicely. Told her I wanted to order an iced matcha latte , that's all I wanted to order and she told me the wait would be 30 minutes!!! I'm sorry what!? Again I understand and saw that they were busy, but that's no excuse to have a person wait 30 minutes for a drink. If they were that busy where they couldn't make drinks and would take that long it would have been better to simply put a sign stating "Not taking drink orders at the moment" I would have respect that more. I told her never mind and left, and again she seemed irritated by it. I'm still baffled that it would take that long for a simple drink, it's not like they were going to harvest the green tea leaves before making the tea. At first I wasn't really sure where the navigation was taking me, but to my surprise the location was well noticeable with its yellow decor. The place was clean well lit, great pictures and w wonderful hip cafe vibe. The staff was very helpful and the menu was very easy to understand with lots of pictures. Overall the food was much better than your average muffin. My kids loved their sandwiches, overall there was a good value and food was great. Their prices are creeping up. Last time I went, they were pretty busy and parking was hard to find, so I guess the demand is there to raise prices. Still, it was kind of a disappointing experience: no real improvements, crowded/busy, and they were blasting weird music too loud. Also, it looked like the manager was telling of one of the workers. I have been here a few times and I want to come back. I have to drive a bit but it's worth it. The sandwiches and coffee taste amazing. I had the dream come true. It has everything on it. Since I'm a fan of this place, I've had a few of their savory muffins including the Mother Muffin Sandwich, the Heat Wave, and the B.L.A.S.T. The sandwich I choose for the day depends on the mood and what I want since they are all so different, but I can assure you they all hit the spot. If you're a coffee person, my go-to is the Carma Coffee. It's good and a decent price for coffee. Parking is street parking, but it is pretty easy to find. The staff is super nice & friendly. The place has a small patio if you want to eat there, but I usually take it to go. Online ordering has become my best friend, since it does take them a few minutes to prepare. They also have a rewards program, which is helpful, especially if you plan on coming back for more. If you're ordering to-go and not eating it right away, I recommend that you order a light spread so it doesn't get too soggy. If you're feeling adventurous add the hash brown inside the sandwich. I had high expectations for their English muffin sandwiches, but the Salmon sandwich was just ok and quite bland. The Horchata latte was very sweet and did not have a strong coffee flavor. Next time, I would probably try the classic americano sandwich with a hashbrown inside or the sausage sandwich. I would also pass on the coffee drinks since they are too sweet. read more

Outdoor seating dog friendly! I'm in Glendale quite often and every time I pass by this place its always busy, arrived on a Sunday around 730am. Decided to treat the fam so it wasn't a surprise when the bill came out to about $60+ tip for 5 sandos and 4 hash browns! I really had high hopes for this place and I have to say the Redemption Sausage - Chicken Sausage, Cheddar, Egg, Aioli and the Classic Americano - Crispy Bacon, cheddar, egg and Aioli was good but not great! I was very disappointed with the hashbrowns that were advertised as seasoned with ranch dressing, not only did they taste old even though they just opened but the seasoning was lacking. The hashbrowns are reminiscent of those you buy at Smart and Final, Vallarta, El super, Walmart that come in a pack then all you gotta do is throw it in the hot oil but these seemed air fried to keep them healthier which change the crispiness profile.... I got the Americano muffin - bacon/cheddar/aioli ($7.75) and a side of hash browns ($1.75) The lady got a Mother muffin - salmon/tomato/cucumber/dill cream cheese/capers (10.75) and a hash brown. The food wasnt bad. It was just ok for us. Being that they are muffin sandwiches, we knew we werent going to be stuffed with what we ordered but it just wasnt enough food for what you pay for. The bacon was smoky and all but the Americano needed more of it. The egg was lacking and I couldnt really taste the aioli. My lady liked her muffin just fine but at over $10+, it needed to have more salmon. The hash browns were just ordinary hash brown patties. Nothing special. The also ordered a coffee drink and we shard a banana nut muffin ($3.95) and while it was tasty, it was really sticky. Better than being dry, I suppose. SERVICE. They have horrible service here. We used to come here when they served food on the side of the place. It wasn't as it used to be, they must have changed owners or managers. The person in the front who was taking our order was VERY RUDE. We asked about a previous item on the menu, and they were making fun of us for asking about an old item that wasn't there. I tried the Cubano, which was just a little bit sweeter than my preference but overall a really good flavor profile and refreshing. This has become my go-to spot when I'm working from the office. It's super quick and delicious. They have a variety of food and drink items including delicious coffee-much needed during an 8-hour shift at work. They have a cute spot to sit outside and some tables inside as well. The quality feels like it's gone down since the first time I was here. The price point is about 10-15 for a sandwich with no drinks or sides. Because I'm ordering take away I'm always very conscious of the distance traveled and how long it takes to prepare. There is only one window with which to pick up food, so even though I times it correctly to travel there were 4 indecisive other customers in front of me, and the cashier was on her phone not helping them pick anything or checking in about the bags of food that were rapidly getting sweaty because they're sealed. The food sandwich I got was about 40% bread and just generally not the best. The hash brown had grown overly sweaty and was falling apart, overall the food was salvaged with ketchup but it's not ideal and from that experience not worth the price point. Might have a better experience if I were to eat in, but I think the restaurant should also work on how they package their takeout options and manager their lines. read more
