Uncle is a small, Asian fusion shrine that one should place on your must visit list. In the Northwest area of Denver, Uncle has limited seating and a show if you sit at the bar. Reservations are strongly suggested and well worth the wait. Crazy combinations, flavor bombs throughout and a culinary delight you won't regret. Tonight, we sat at the bar and watched the magic happen. These guys are cranking out amazing and delectable treats you won't forget. The Uncle salad was a great starter with charred cabbage, lemongrass, mint, cilantro, arugula, and peanuts lightly coated in a Thai coconut dressing. A slight burn only leaving you to crave just one more bite, ha! The fried soft shell crab in a bao bun with green papayo slaw, coconut mayo and cilantro nam prik was sweet, perfect crunch and memorable. Two for two with one dish left. The cold spicy sesame noodles with seasoned chicken, granny Smith apple slivers, arugula, cashews and nanami togorashi, a perfect closing dish for an exceptional meal. The service, food quality, flavors and preformance from the bar seats were second to none. The concept, portion size, flavor and cost were a real treat in the big city food scene of Denver. If you haven't been here yet, get to the internet and book a table, I promise you won't regret it. To the staff, chefs, and all members of Uncle, thank you for a surprising and incredibly great meal, we will return on our future trips to Denver.

Noodles are a regular fixture when we want a quick fix and our version of fast food. With plenty of seating on this Monday evening, our party of three were seated immediately. Menus and water arrived shortly and we perused the menu. They have a decent selection of ramen, udon, soup noodles, stir-fry noodles, rice bowls, and poke bowls. They also have a few izakaya options perfect for sharing. * Black Tonkotsu $18 - The Little Guy got this and slurped the whole thing up, even the wood ear mushrooms which he usually leaves behind. He actually asked to return the next day because he loved it so much and just loved it. 5/5 * Menya Special $16.50 - I got this one and it was fine. Although I think I was a bit jealous as the Black Tonkotsu looked like it had different kind of noodles. The egg was perfectly cooked. 4/5 * Udon $16.50 - The Little Gal had this as she is a fan of udon any day. She ate pretty much the whole thing herself. Overall, Menya Noodle Bar served its purpose. It's a no-frills kind of place in a prime location.

5 stars across the board…read more We were literally at Stella next door the night before and I heard there was gonna be cold rain the next day. So we decided to get a hot bowl of ramen to clear ourselves right up. I have to admit while we have had pretty good ramen in Colorado nothing has blown us away. This place did just that. If you are looking for the most authentic bowl of ramen anywhere within a 20-30 Radius of Denver this is your spot. I got the sesame pork belly ramen bowl and my wife the chicken dashi and both were spectacular. I know this sounds like a lot of exaggerating but no notes. Seriously ZERO! Take all my money whoever you are, Sera! PS I'm very impressed the other reviewers had enough self control to take pictures before they ate. Our food didn't stand a chance.

This small ramen shop is a hidden little gem in Denver. The service was great, even if our waiter was on his first day and stumbled a bit. He was attentive, eager, and happy to help with a smile on his face. The food was excellent as well, ranging from crispy gyoza and chicken karaage to various ramen dishes. The only downside was the karaage, which was slightly different than what I was used to, but it was still delicious. We left with our stomachs full, smiles on our faces, and a warm goodbye that has turned into a "see you later," as I will definitely be back.

I did notice the fake ramen displays ( there's gotta be a name for this art) while passing by. Finally made a trip. First impression was good. The restaurant had the menu on the table with glass top on it. Also got another smaller one and a piece of paper with pencils on the side. He took the drink order and also instructioned us to mark on the paper on what we wanted and when were were ready, press the buzzer. There were many choices and had a hard time choosing what we wanted. I wanted ramen for sure and also wanted some appetizer but opted for a dragon roll. My black garlic tonkotsu ramen was very rich cloudy broth, perfect to warm up, and it was delicious. Just the right amount of noodles and plenty of chatsu to go with. I have just scrached the surface as I write this review. There are so many options and choices that I failed to comprehend. I wish our waiter suggested some alternate options which we would have appreciated like the combo meal and also happy hour drink options. Will be back to full fill the ramen quest!
