Probably one of the worst urgent care experiences I've had. I would never come back here unless…read moreevery other local urgent care was closed. Their appointment system literally makes zero sense and the front desk / nurse staff the day I came was so incompetent I was almost scared to be seen here. The saving grace and why I bumped them up at least one star is the doctor was lovely and personable, but by the time I got to her the damage had been done... First off, as others have documented do not believe that they genuinely have "appointments" and they should just scrap this whole system. When I called to see how long the wait time was, I was told without an appointment the wait was about 30 minutes (which isn't even bad) - however they recommended I make an appointment so that I could be seen sooner, seemed like an absolute win if they were already saying the wait time was 30 minutes without an appointment, so I assumed with an appointment you were seeing probably immediately or at least within 15 minutes, so I made an appointment over the phone. When I walked in, it was extremely busy and I learned after sitting there that 90% of the people waiting also had an "appointment." I found out the girl working the front desk was also floating as a nurse so I can say they were understaffed as someone who is working the front desk likely shouldn't also be taking clients in the back.... this girl was "nice" but it also seemed like it was her first day on the job... at check-in she just gave me papers without instructions and has zero communication skills. I could tell a lot of people interacting with her could tell she was a little bit off and not super professional. Also, in my time waiting to get called in a lot of people ended up becoming agitated with her because it seemed like no appointment times were respected and people were questioning why she had given certain wait times etc. She had no legitimate answer that made sense. Despite having this so-called "appointment" I didn't get called to be seen in the back for an hour and a half..... remember I was told without an appointment The wait time was 30 minutes. Super crazy and unprofessional. They really just need to scrap the appointment thing because it's kind of insulting for people to pretend this is OK. All in all I was there about two hours. An hour and a half to make it to the back and a quick interaction with the doctor to be out at the two hour mark. The final part that pissed me off is when I was leaving, I asked the girl at the front for a printout of my paperwork now that I was able to check out... Despite there still being clients, the front desk girl/nurse told me she had already logged out of the system for the day...I was polite but told her if she has customers/patient still there why would she shut down the system, knowing people need their documentation? She didn't again give me an answer, but just said she would turn the system back on which kept me waiting another 15 minutes. I got my paperwork and left. The doctor again was great and very empathetic, thank goodness for that experience because overall it was a pretty icky place to be when you're really sick given the unprofessionalism and lack of structure at this urgent care....I hope I don't ever have to come back here, but I'm thankful at the minimum I got some medication that I needed and a diagnosis from a caring doctor.

I said NO that place is a dump, I want to go to Eisenhower. The paramedic said JFK has an outstanding ER, better than the other hospital and it is a Level 1 Trauma hospital. JFK is run down, the entrance to the ER looks like it's located in a 3rd world country, terrible. The ER waiting room is even worse, tiny, old chairs and honestly looks like a set in a NYC movie, crummy. The care I received was FANTASTIC! The ER is really small, 10 beds, is screaming for a remodel and more space, the staff is packed in there. The nurses, the orderly that took me for the Cat Scan, the female doctor, they were all wonderful. I was lucky to be placed in a storage room where it was quiet and not the main ER space. I had a good experience, but it's difficult to recommend a hospital that is so shabby and run down. I hope the building is remodeled and updated because the ER staff is top notch.

While I waited I conveniently received " an estimate " of $300.00 which I paid on the spot. I was left in this wooden chair the entire time and no one came to check on me. The nurse offered the man next to be a warm blanket ; he declined but I asked to have his. None was offered to me and none was brought. I had to walk to the rest room dragging my empty iv bag behind me wrapped around my arm. The doctor was helpful and got me a diagnosis and started my road to feeling better. I was very sick and in some pain. The billing department was the highlight of my poor experience. They were never helpful and ignored my questions. Never ever going here again. Being busy does not give you permission to treat your patients without courtesy and respect. Zero stars. My account balance is zero but I had to make so many unnecessary calls just to make them do their jobs.

I had 22 treatments and did receive some help, a return of feeling in my previously numb lower legs and the bottom of my feet. However I went to my Podiatrist for a checkup, found he had the same machine and asked if Medicare would cover the cost and he said absolutely! SO being a bit angry I called their office twice requesting a bill so I could file a Medicare claim. I got no response. I have since placed a call to Discover and found this is a regular Discover card offering no interest until 2017. I believe they are trying to get a very quick return on their investment and lying to customers about insurance coverage or maybe they cannot bill insurance. My response to Kimberly is this, Please send me a bill so I can send a claim for my $4,000 to Medicare. Would be most appreciated. Bette G.

Staff changes alone can completely transform the atmosphere. A kind, professional person running things makes all the difference. If you're feeling it, this would actually make a fantastic review. Want me to polish what you wrote into something clear and powerful that still sounds like you? Here's a refined version that keeps your voice but tightens it up: I'm honestly surprised this place only has two or three stars on Yelp and Google. My experience was completely different. The current staff member I worked with was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming -- which makes a huge difference. The rooms aren't luxurious, but they're not meant to be. They're practical study rooms, and the beds are very comfortable. Everything felt clean and well-managed. It was one of the better experiences I've had in this setting. Yes, the reports take a while to process, but that seems to be part of the system rather than a reflection of the people here. I'm confident they'll follow through, and I appreciate the professionalism throughout the process. I travel a lot, so having a portable machine will be a big plus. Overall, I highly recommend this place -- and I say that as someone who's very particular and used to high standards.

Dr Evan's never disclosed there would be an extra charge and the tests kept piling up to the tune of over $700 which I only discovered a week later when bills started coming in the mail. Further, Dr Evan's told me I needed other tests (from his office) and expensive eye drops that two other local Doctors later told me I did not need. If you have insurance your insurance company will likely dispute the charges, if you don't watch out. I disputed the charges and later settled for $300 and went to another local Doctor whom I paid to repeat my exam for $180. Was told I did not need expensive drops nor any of the tests Dr Evan's tried to sell.

I have been under Dr. Evan's care for the past few years never had a good vibe. My bad for…read moresticking with him. I would not recommend him because of the following reasons: 1. Dr. exercises a TON of medical caution - hard to tell whether he is genuinely thorough or just trying to do a bunch of tests so he can bill insurance co. and patients. If you do go, ask cuz they are not too clear about tests and costs. And the Dr. makes you feel that you're comprising big time if you skip these tests. 2. The Dr. had me tried a certain brand of contact lenses. After the initial box I switched back to my previous brand (prescribed by previous eye doctor from out of state). Dr. Evans REFUSES to write a prescription with my preferred brand even though he examined me in them earlier! I find it appalling that the Dr. dictates the brand of contact lenses I buy and totally ignore my feedback as his patient. 3. Always have to wait for the appointment - at least 30-40 mins behind. Lastly, "Dr." Evans speaks like an Opthalmology but he's NOT a M.D. He is the head of the practice however he is an Optometrist. The other "MDs" are in his office part time so if you have serious eye issues, find a real eye specialist elsewhere!
