Service was quick and fast. The food was seasoned well. The pork belly was super crispy

Snowing Cheese Potato Pancake / 눈꽃 감자전

Tasty, filling, and generously portioned, but the overall experience came with a few caveats. There were three of us, and we ordered four dishes to share family-style. We left completely full and still had leftovers. Everything was good, although nothing really stood out as exceptional. My ranking would be the bulgogi (japchae), Snowing Cheese Potato Pancake, Grilled Spicy Chicken, and then the sashimi. The seaweed rolls served with the sashimi were tasty, but the fish itself was just okay. The potato pancake had a surprisingly stretchy, almost mochi-like texture. It was a little jarring at first because it wasn't what I expected, but it was interesting, and I can see why some people love it. It was also a bit bland without sauce. I might order it again for the texture, although I still have mixed feelings about it. The Grilled Spicy Chicken was barely spicy despite being specifically labeled that way. Even our spice-sensitive friends agreed, so it would be nice to have a choice of spice levels. A few smaller issues also added up. The music was extremely loud, and the first-floor elevator area had a very strong smell with wet, sticky floors. Near the stairwell, there also appeared to be a trash can with a large reddish puddle underneath it. Overall, the food was good and the portions were large, but I'm not sure I'd return. Great Korean food! It stays true to traditional flavours with thoughtful tweaks. Service is incredibly hospitable. The eatery is usually packed full, though it gets noisy when crowded.

MUI is a cute, hidden bar in K town. It's intimate, with small dining tables and a bar area. The food was really nicely presented and tasty! Fried chicken with french fries (5/5) Sweet and salty! The chicken and fries paired well together. I liked this fusion of Korean and American. Army stew (4/5) Pretty standard and tasty, there were a lottt of stuff inside like seafood, noodles, sausages, and more. I felt like it fed the six of us well! Korean fried rice (3.5/5) Tasty but didn't blow me away. Ambiance and service: Honestly, the seating was very uncomfortable because it was tight and i was in a party of 6 people sitting at a small table. The table area is quite small as well so it felt like the bowls and signs were barely fitting. The service was standard!

tucked away upstairs next to woorijip, mui offers a solid selection of korean dishes. my friend and I shared the army stew, kimchi bossam, and honey garlic fried chicken. the army stew was super filling and tasty, a standard dish that warms you up as the weather gets colder. they served their bossam with kimchi and tofu, which is an interesting combination but I preferred eating each component separately. the honey garlic fried chicken was my favorite of the night, super crispy and flavorful, a win in taste and texture. there wasn't a wait time and there's plenty of seating, so I wouldn't worry about getting a reservation!

This is one of my go-to pochas in ktown. I would run back here for the sparkling chungha and Mild Mixed Seafood Soup. Those two I ALWAYS get when I come here. Staff is pretty attentive, pretty spacious bathroom, and almost always walk in is less than 10 minute wait. They give cash discount so make sure to bring cash and ask for the cash receipt!

I wanted to just update my review with some other food items I've tried: their seafood okonomiyaki, bossam, buddaejjigae, and Korean fried chicken with fries. Everything was pretty solid, but nothing outstanding. A good spot to drink with friends, with a lively ambiance and casual decor.

This place was packed on a Friday night! Vibes were great and service was fast. We ordered the tofu kimchi bossam and spicy bai-top shell. Both were good. Looking forward to visiting again to try their other menus next time!

Cute korean spot for drinks and light snacks tucked away in ktown. Doesn't get too crowded as the spot is on the 5th floor and lowkey kinda hard to find. The elevator also takes a while but you can always take the stairs (walk up past Miss Korea). The spot is vibey and full of seats, but gets a bit loud as you may imagine. Service is pretty decent and they are accommodating of dietary restrictions, though they just omit and don't do replacements. I liked their chapchae and seafood hot pot best but would also recommend their other food!

Great spot to start/end the night. The food is pretty good here. My friends and I come here for drinks usually. Super loud environment so I don't know if you would come here for a first date. If you come on weekends it usually takes a while to get seated. We waited 45mins to an hour on a weekend. I enjoyed their bossam and korean fried chicken. Vibes were great and we did get a few shots on the house. The servers are always super kind.

Located on the 5th floor - the elevator can be slow but you can also take the stairs! We just stopped by for an early dinner before heading over to a concert in MSG so it wasn't very busy. Staff members were nice and attentive, and their jokbal and seafood scallion pancakes were solid - no complaints!

Love all of these dishes, but my favorite is the fried rice.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.
