Food was good but took a long time to seat us. My wife ordered a fancy meal off specials list but my 6 wings didn't show up till after my wife was done with her meal (I had at least a quarter of her meal). Wings got here about 10 minutes after my wife's meal was long gone. Server was nice and comped our drinks. Would not bother next time though. Fried wings are easy. No excuse. read more

We went to get a sandwich after a long day looking for some relaxation and great beer and found it to be a Rathskeller mentality. There was an announcer constantly plugging out trivia questions on a loud speaker and left us unable to digest our meal. This place is horrible. My wife grew up in Fairport. We live in Ohio now. We came home for Thanksgiving and since we did not have New York id's they would not let us in. We are 35/34 yrs old. I love this place. Always has great food, especially for a pub. My husband is British and loves the Sheppard's pie, bangers and mash and other Irish dishes. Their wings are my favorite in the area (made old school). The bar is a nice atmosphere and you have a great time whether you eat or just go for a beer. Mulconry's Irish Pub is many places in one.  I have been going there since its founding and have really grown to appreciate its unique qualities.   Unlike your average (American) Irish pub, it doesn't simply serve Guinness.  It is a top notch restaurant serving Irish food as well as American dishes.  Their full time professional chef also creates daily specials.  The traditional pub fair is prepared with the same care as anything else on the menu.  The restaurant is isolated from the bar in its own room allowing for a purely dining experience.  Their prices are very reasonable and they are happy to tailor your order to taste. The bar evolves throughout the day.  On quieter nights it is a place to have great conversation, meet people, throw darts, and simply relax after work.  The staff is very friendly and in short time they greet you with a familiar hello and know your preferences.  They make an effort to get to know personally.  When it's busy, they are very efficient without being cold.  Friday and Saturday nights Mulconry's often hosts a band with no cover charge.  ...one isn't treated like a twenty year old here.  Another observation, pardon the cliche, is Mulconry's is a place for all ages.  I have been told that pubs on the other side of the pond are a place for families and communities to gather.  You'll have your regulars, your moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas and their kids, etc.  I have experienced this at Mulconry's. Yelp sucks as well. Terrible website. Anyways, Sunday night, party of 6. Food was awful, cold and 1 meal was forgotten. Service was rude, the music was stupid loud..for the 3 people at the bar, and cold dinig room, not to mention they stuffed a party of 7 in a corner table meant for 5 and WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE! I've been here a few times - their corned beef is delicious, either as a dinner or in a reuben. Today I had the fish sandwich, beer battered and it was the size of a mini-fish fry with tons of french fries and a good amount of coleslaw. This place was scuzzy looking from the outside and we were only drawn inside because of it being the place open the latest. Getting in we order 6 car bombs for our group. The bartender rejects us after pouring all the shots and their beers because my ID was from another state. So i pulled out a student ID, credit cards, before he told us we couldn't be in here anymore because I wasn't 21 (I'm 22) I left not wanting to sour things and the bartender started giving away the car bombs. Not allowing us to pay for them and go but instead handing them out when my friends managed to convince him to let her talk to the manager. She dodged us for a while and eventually never spoke with us. We asked the security guards about it and they told us out of state IDs we're allowed. After a few minutes he screams at my friend that he didn't understand why she was arguing. They wouldn't even allow MILITARY IDs to be accepted. Worst place. I am glad we didn't give them any money. Don't support out of state IDs but damn you better give that of age Military man his damn drink. read more

After a wonderful day out with my family we decided to go to this "Irish Pub". Only to find out it wasn't. More like a wannabe gastro pub, modern styled tables and straight back benches and contemporary art work on display. It was more like a trendy restaurant than pub atmospere. There were no pint specials, only a few drafts guinness, smithwicks, then 5 american brews, bottles were those that were on draft, and again more, american beers with the addition of one belgian beer. Any pub I've been to has a nice variety of micro brews and american and foreign beers. The food came out on piping hot plates for two kids 3 & 4 yrs old, hello waiter they r for kids, tell chef or cook use cool plates. My wifes soup was suposed to be broccoli and cheddar. It was curdled and very thin no chunks of broccoli in it. My wife commented she gets better from a can. I ordered the shepards pie, what a mess, meat in a salty broth with minced carrots and pearl onions. This was topped with mashed potatoes covered with greasy oily cheese. I ordered the Mulconrys buger instead. Another train wreck, I ordered the buger medium rare it came 15 minutes later well done. Looked good but not how I eat my burgers, the mashed potatoes had the same salty sauce/ gravy on them as was in the shepards pie. When we asked for the bill the shepards pie was removed but the burger was still on the ticket. I asked for it to be removed by the waiter. About 10 minutes later the "co-owner" showed up smelling of beer and dressed like he came in from a day at the house doing yard work. He tried to tell me I had to pay for the burger and that both items were fine nothing was wrong with them. I told him my issues with the food only to be told that I was being charged for the burge, I told him I didnt eat any of the food so Im not paying for it. About ten minutes later we left. Gotta day I dont know how the place has survived, we were the only table in the dining room. After being there and having the experience I had I now know why! Will never go back I'd rather eat at taco bell lol. read more

While visiting at 1:15 on a Saturday just wanted to say thanks to our waitress who took 45 mins to allow us to drink one beer. We wanted food but apparently it's my fault there wasn't a hostess and they were "really backed up in the kitchen". The waitress was very rude and unprofessional and asked the next time if we visit and just want one drink please sit at the bar. We had hoped to get food but I don't have all night to eat a late lunch. So thanks to that even though I was always really excited to visit I won't be back. Hopefully there's a manager somewhere for this establishment that may want to look at the employees and the professionalism that they don't project. read more

Instead of the usual pub grub, Mulconry's Irish Pub offers some tasty dishes. I started my meal with a bowl of their seafood chowder. My visual expectation was a rich, creamy New England style chowder, but when the bowl arrived it was more of a broth - once I tasted this heavenly concoction I wanted more. It was aromatic with undertones of sage and thyme. We also enjoyed the sweet potato fries as an appetizer - they were cooked to perfection, not oily or soggy. For the main course I finally chose the fresh salad greens with toasted walnuts, goat cheese, pears and grilled chicken. The salad was excellent, but I think I will omit the chicken if I order again - it simply didn't need to be there, but that was my unnecessary addition. My husband ordered the sirloin tips with mashed potatoes and he practically licked the plate clean! Our dining companions ordered the burgers, which looked and smelled wonderful. According to our friends, these burgers were among the best they've had. The only negative (which may not be a negative to some of you) is the decibel level. The dining area is only separated by a thin wall from the bar and this is a Pub, I know, but I could barely hear our friends talk in our booth. I would definitely recommend Mulconry's to those seeking a Pub experience with better food! read more

We eat at Mulconrys at least once a week. The service is amazing and we love the clean homey atmosphere. The shepherds pie and French onion soup are delicious!! great place owner is great and the workers are very casual and respectful. Whoever has issues with the workers are fairly ignorant to expect employees to focus only on you rather then everyone else. The new chef at Mulconrys is doing a kicking job. Went off the reservation and tried the balsamic chicken stack, which was outstanding. Also gave the beef tips a whirl--Delish fresh mash potatoes and a root vegetable hash--so good. They have new specials most nights that people are swearing by. If you haven't been lately, retry. Pretty good food marred by bad coffee and indifferent server. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday. I ordered coffee rather than a drink but unfortunately, it turned out to be undrinkable. I mean, it takes a lot for me not to be able to drink a cup even if it's not that great, but this was just like, a mouse died in it levels of bad. I don't know what it was, but something was really wrong. I said to the server that I was sorry but this is terrible, can I have something else, just some water. She brought it with no apologies for the coffee of offer to replace it. In fact, she seemed a bit put out. We waited a while for the food, but it was good when it came. When the bill came, she had still charged me for the undrinkable coffee. I didn't want to delay my group over the price of a cup of coffee, so I just paid it and left. But sorry to say I won't be back. If my server had been more professional, it wouldn't be this way, as the food was pretty good. But I don't like being treated with disdain after being served something I couldn't even drink. read more

Mulconry's takes me back to the best Irish pubs in NYC that I would frequent when I lived there. With that being said, I far more enjoy the diversity that Mulconry's offers. The pub itself has a lot to offer with a great bar staff, perfectly poured Guinness, excellent bar food, entertaining patrons and top notch music venues There's a restaurant section that one can retreat to for a delicious sheperd's pie in a more intimate surrounding as well as an outdoor patio dining area. And then there's a second floor with a game room, party room and a deck with views of the Eerie Canal that are second to none. A little bit of a dark dive-y feel when you go in, but the service was good, quick to bring you another drink. The food was tasty and reasonably priced although we ordered a crab cake as an app and did pick out a few pieces of shell, but other than that no complaints. read more

Shocked by all the negative reviews here. We have been going here for over 3 years now and overall the food has been good and so has the service, e.g. way more hits than misses. I've enjoyed their corn beef dinner, Shepherd's pie, burgers, etc. Really good onion rings and buffalo chicken wings too! read more

LOVE this Pub. Yes it was our first time and it won't be our last. Out for a bike ride and stopped in for dinner with some of the family. Greeted by the bar tender as we walked in, nice touch. Perfectly poured Guiness. When one of us couldn't decide on a beverage, Joe (think that was his name) the bartender suggested a few things, let her taste test and she found a winner. Joe also helped us with an appetizer, OMG the wings were to die for. After two dozen of those we also ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich. That too was amazing. Not sure if it was the owner or just some nice patron who found out our ancestors were from Cork and proceeded to show us the flag, it's history and pointed out the posters about Cork. Very friendly, homey pub that I would recommend to everyone. The only blip was, the service was a tad slow but I think that was due to the huge crowd. Can't wait for our next visit and to try their bangers and mash!! To the person who said the wait staff seemed a bit rushed.... Life is to short, sit back and enjoy yourself! read more
