So where to start.... I have been wanting to try this place for a long time and today was the the day unfortunately. I ordered the lasagna and my wife had the chicken and broccoli Alfredo, the lasagna was good but the Alfredo was a whole other level of bad. First off it was dried out and had zero and when I say zero I mean zero taste at all, the sauce was not sauce it was milk and butter in water no exaggeration either! Honestly I have never seen Alfredo sauce with only watery milk and butter in it, no cheese and no garlic. The chicken tasted like just plain unseasoned boiled chicken and there were like 4 pieces of broccoli in it. I am truly disappointed as I like to support small local businesses but that was just unacceptable on so many levels. After having food like that I will not be returning unfortunately as like I said the lasagna was good but god only knows what I would get the next time! read more

Very nice people. Yummy old school Italian fare. Huge portions. Someone who must be Mumma appeared in an apron and was very sweet. Good wine by the glass at a very fair price. All prices were very reasonable. Chicken Marsala has a lot of chicken and was slightly different from the typical sauce but very good. One issue: the bathroom was not clean at all. My recommendation to guests: don't use it. For the restaurant: if your mop sink can't go anywhere else, enclose the area with a curtain or two. Get rid of the plastic shower curtain. We were driving back to the Cape from Boston and needed a place to have lunch. I went on Yelp to find a restaurant in the Wareham area and settled on this. Both hubby and I had the meat lasagne that comes with a meatball or sausage. It has the be the BEST lasagne I have ever had. We will definitely go back to get takeout. My son was Craving pasta, so we decided to try Mumma Marys. Ok local little restaurant, good. Read the yelp reviews also good. Small inside and set up weird but... who cares came for the "out of this world Italian food". Let's just say for over $30 for my 7 year old and myself... next time I'll stay home. Portion was small for such a large price. I wanted to love it here, unfortunately I won't be back. Gravy had too much garlic and lacking in true authentic Italian flavor. New to the area and craving some spaghetti and meatballs, my husband and I ordered take-out. We called about 10 minutes before closing and they had not problem accepting our order (some places won't even answer the phone that close to closing!) The staff was extremely friendly and send our order home with some extra garlic bread. The servings are very large for the price which was a great surprise! If you want Italian Mumma Marys is where you want to go. Small but still plenty of seating (when there isn't a virus). My husband goes for the lasagna with meatball and I am usually the chicken cutlet with salad or get one of her soups. Everything is delicious. Last but not least - you must try a dessert of course. It was a quick dinner stop but we decided to stay and eat there. What a great choice it was to do so. I had an amazing Turkey Sandwich that had a remarkable cranberry mayonnaise, pancetta and the turkey was made fresh right there. The bread was truly outstanding, it was a fresh ciabatta roll. I was lucky to get a hold of a menu on the way out and plan a quick return in the next couple of days to try Mummas Turkey Cranberry Pecan Salad, a great taste I had of it just before I left.
