It's located in the beautiful city of Moorpark. Somewhat situated in a semi residential street. There's no parking lot, just street parking. We came around 10 am and there was already quite a bit of people there. There's a sign at the front that says to pick at your own risk. The regular customers came prepared with big buckets or wagons and pruners. They have medium sized white buckets you can borrow at the entrance to collect your persimmons. Then you make your way up the hill, which is pretty steep. There are lots of fully ripened persimmons on the trees of varying sizes. They had another section further up that was still cordoned off, perhaps not yet ripe. They have two different varieties of persimmon trees throughout the farm. We had a blast picking persimmons for a good hour. The persimmons are sweet and at $1.50 a pound definitely worth it! We got about 25 pounds which will last us quite a while. I'd definitely come back again next year prepared. *** I wouldn't recommend it for elderly with difficulty walking since the hill has some steep areas and is not level. Also beware with toddlers walking around by the trees as there are several small branches sticking out that are perfectly eye level. Today there was a woman that had a nasty fall while picking. Paramedics had to come and take her to get medical assistance.

Messaged her but no response. Would give 0 stars but there's none here. So 1 star it is. Would not…read morebe coming back here because I found a better place for U-pick persimmons and cheaper!

Steam Railfest is a small once a year festival in April that takes place in Fillmore. You know what they say Good Things Come In Small Packages. They have Food Trucks & Food Booths that are very reasonably priced. They have Free live entertainment with a Bluegrass Band & Dr. Solar's Medicine Show. They also have Merchandise Booths, a Carousel Ride you can purchase tickets for, & an Array of Antique Cars to look at for Free as well. There is also a Museum & other points of interest right next door to The Train Station too. They had 3 Train Rides Going On @ once. The Baldwin 1913 Steam Locomotive was completely Sold Out Saturday with a 2 city block line to get on the classic Train. They had train rides @ 10,12 & 2. The Steam Train was $26 & was over an hour long ride. The Baldwin is FANTASTIC & takes you back to another time. It has been meticulously restored to its glorious heyday. You can choose to ride in an outdoor car or in an enclosed car. You get to pass by all the Orange, Lemon & Avocado Groves & some beautiful scenery too. They also had The 1935 Buckeye Steam Train Ride - a short little Steam Ride Train for $5. There was also also The Caboose Train Ride with The Citrus Packing Tour included for $10. The Caboose Ride is the Famous Atchison Topeka & The Santa Fe. The ATSF was made famous in a song by Judy Garland. It's a good idea to listen to the song, see the video or rent the Movie The Harvey Girls also staring Angela Lansbury about The ATSF. Then you'll totally get it. The Caboose Ride is less than 10 minutes & arrives @ The Citrus Packing House which is only open to the public once a year. They do filming & restorations for Movie & TV here. You'll see signs & memorabilia from Back in the Day. They have a 1957 Apartment with a pink kitchen, Floyd's Barber Shop & a 1950s Diner. Two of the most famous signs are The Brown Derby Hat from the legendary Hollywood restaurant & The Bleecker Bob's Neon Record Store from New York. They even have a working workshop here for all the restorations. A whole day of Fun & Adventure. If you missed this, mark it on your calendar for next year. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Conejo Family Farm's Pumpkin Patch is the perfect spot to soak up all the fall vibes!…read more If you're looking for a relaxed, low-key day, weekdays are the way to go. But if you're in the mood for a lively atmosphere, weekends are buzzing with pop-up coffee stands, local beer stalls, and tons of happy families. I even heard they had over 5,000 guests in a single day last weekend -- such an incredible turnout for this Camarillo patch! Entry is $10 a person unless you're under the age of 5, then it's free. Once you step inside the grounds, the fun doesn't stop. From picking pumpkins (I snagged the cutest little white ones) to exploring the tall corn maze and strolling through the sunflower fields, there's something for everyone. At just $1 a stem, you can build your own sunflower bouquet, which makes this experience extra special. The kids will love the mini maze and bouncy houses, while adults can enjoy the festive energy and beer. Honestly, I had the best time and totally recommend adding it to your fall bucket list. Make sure to keep an eye on their Instagram or website as that's where you can find updating postings of specialized events and pop up. Reminder: the weekends are when they have the animal petting zoo, coffee stalls and beer garden. The weekdays appear to be more lowkey and don't have all of these options - but if you watch their website, they do have mid week events like yoga in the pumpkin patch etc.
