Food was delish and the service was great. I would recommend. Place was very calm the night I went in.

Visited on a Saturday for a late lunch. It was basically empty except for a few people at the bar. We sat at a table in the bar. This place is usually hopping in the evenings. I like how open the interior is. This location has held multiple restaurants over the last few years. They knocked down a wall in the middle which opens the space up quite a bit. There have also been improvements made to the patio at the end which is nice for warm days/evenings. At the time, Yelp had a check-in offer for a free pub pretzel appetizer so we decided to try it. Wow! There were 2 huge pretzels with a mustard sauce and a cheese sauce for dipping. The pretzels were very salty and warm and soft. I'm all about bread/pretzels and cheese at any time so these were about as good as you can get. The table we picked didn't look like it had been wiped down from the night before, but it wasn't filthy. The water glasses were clean but spotty. Our bartender/server noticed right away and got us fresh glasses of water. I didn't catch her name, but she was very friendly and attentive. I really appreciated it. I felt kinda bad for her as there were idiots at the other table she was handling, but she kept her friendly demeanor the whole time. There was country music playing over the PA while we were there. Normally that's not unusual in Indiana, but in this area? It was definitely something I noticed where I wouldn't have otherwise. The menu is gigantic and could stand to be pared down. My husband and I enjoyed our food, but the menu just suffers from being too large. They have sections for everything - apps, sandwiches, pizza, entrees, pasta, steaks, etc. It's a lot! I went for the Turkeyberry sandwich. It had turkey, goat cheese, lettuce, and a berry sauce on focaccia. It was listed as a panini-style sandwich. It had the appropriate grill marks, but the focaccia was almost too thick. It was a lot of bread for the sandwich. The goat cheese were perfect on it though. The fries were good and seemed like they were "twice fried". They had a crispy coating or breading on the outside. My husband got the apple chicken salad. It was a huge salad that he didn't finish, but he said the dressing was good and the contents were satisfying. Overall, this was a satisfying lunch, but I don't think it will be a regular stop for us as it didn't blow us away, and we aren't the type to come here on the evenings when it's packed. read more

They have some food, and it is mainly bar food type stuff. They will give you tastes of various brews before ordering. They also have several wines. My son was finishing his graduate education. It was a great place to go to for that. Kind of a restaurant with a bar like, party like feeling. Good value. read more

First and last time coming here!!!i ordered here today on my lunch some of the worst service I ever had they tell me 30 minutes just for two burgers then I get there pay and go back to work and my food is wrong there were no toppings on either sandwich but it took 30 minutes to make them and they were cold!!I didn't have time for them to make fresh food but luckily I am next door so I came back for the toppings but by then my food was super cold cold and neither burger was well done like I asked still pink all in the middle no seasoning on the meat I was honestly upset I paid 20 dollars for this trash! if you are ethnic not the place for you the dirty looks I got also was a plus! read more

We have been going to Murphys since they opened this location. Its close enough to walk to on days like today. Both my husband and I ordered burgers; mine Med-Well and his Med-Rare. Both burgers were cremated on the outside and WELL DONE on the inside. I ordered well done sweet potatoes fries and they were served appropriately. My husbands baked potato on the other hand was baked so long the outer skin (in my opinion the best part) was inedible without the risk of breaking a tooth. Unfortunately this seems to be a trend. About two weeks ago we ordered a pizza without peppers and it came with peppers. Once the pizza was redone is was very good however I was eating after the rest of the party had finished their meals. Enjoyed the Thai Chicken Pizza which had Thai peanut sauce, chicken, red onion, shaved carrots, crushed peanuts, mozzarella cheese and fresh cilantro. It was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced- a large for $19.00. Had a reservation, but they seated us in the bar due to an overly crowded dining area which was no big deal. Murphys house is in a very convenient location for me, right around the corner - so I love that about it. The atmosphere is really nice here, its casual but classy. The outdoor patio is nice as well. I think the patio would be super ideal for a big group. The service was very quick and good here. The menu has a lot of options if you're a meat eater. Unfortunately, outside of salads there is 2 pizza options and 1 portobello mushroom sandwich option. So it's definitely not ideal for vegetarian/vegans. I got the Margherita pizza and it was decent. I'm not going to rush back for it but I'm not mad about it either. Crust was very thin, which is what my body needed but not what I wanted lol. My friend got the boneless wings and they looked kinda odd to me. Long and skinny and I'm kinda wondering if it was actually just tenders cut in half? I could be wrong though. I took a small bite just so I could speak on them. The BBQ sauce was sweet but it was thick and I felt like I ate more sauce than wings. However, with that being said, I still liked it. I would like to come back and drink some wine and try some of the appetizers. I'm not sure I would come back for a full meal though. Overall I think it's a solid addition to the Geist area. I've been a big of Murphy's since they opened. Their food is always amazing and fresh. They have great live music. I highly recommend their burgers, but beware, they are juicy. You may need to resort to the napkin bib. They're huge and can easily be big enough for two to split. I tried their Chicken Thai pizza yesterday and it was just okay. I wouldn't order again. The boneless wings were also more like chicken tenders shaken in sauce. They were tasty with the bourbon sauce. The Mediterranean appetizer is perfect for snacking. Good portions to go around. They also have many beers on tap and a fun, lively environment. Might be TMI, but the bathrooms are also great. They have branded hand towels, mints, and a perfect full-body selfie mirror. Solid pub grub. You know this place has seen It's ups and downs in quality over the years but the last three visits over past 2 - 3 months have been absolutely solid. The menu is wide but not too wide. The Burgers and fries and everything else we've tried has been pretty decent. I hope they can stay on point because they've been quite good lately. The receptionist/carry out lady was great and when dinning in our servers have been so-so but these are tough times. The dining side had a wait so we opted to find a spot at the bar. Our bartender/served was amazing!!!! Funny nice and easy to talk to...The goat cheese app is a must have!!! It will not disappoint!!! Also, the cocktail shrimp was nice because you got a mild cocktail sauce but a side of horseradish to spice it to your taste. Dinner was good...we each got a steak that was beautifully cooked. I wasnt a big fan of the sauce they served with it, just a little bland. My only complaint, the live music is so loud. New restaurant near us we wanted to give a try...Glad we did. We all three had burgers and they were delicious! I had sweet potato waffle fries and they were crispy which is hard to achieve. Only issue my princess husband had was the fact that they were out of 2 craft beers on the menu so he had to settle for his third choice. We had an appetizer, 3 burgers, 2 beer & a cocktail and a slice of sugar cream pie and the bill was $74 without tip. Not too shabby. The wait staff was super nice and attentive. We will definitely be repeat diners! And I love the fact we didn't have to drive into Fishers, Carmel or Castleton to get dinner!! read more

I wanted to like Murphys; I really did. First visit was decent; the steak and wings were good, the ribs were average. We decided to give them a second try...mistake from the beginning. The hostess stood in front of me sorting menus while I was trying to see how long the wait would be. After sorting her menus, she then told me she would be right with me after seating some others. Finally, after finishing up her other important tasks, she says we can be seated immediately. We got seated only to wait 15 minutes with no acknowledgement whatsoever. Needless to say, we left! I politely explained to the hostess why we left and received a half-hearted, "I'm sorry." LOL...I doubt it. They may not miss our money, but we wont miss their average food and inconsistent service. read more

I liked the atmosphere, but they were far too busy a 7pm on a Saturday night to wait 45 minutes to be seated, so we ordered takeout. The waitress who took our order was quite friendly. My rating here in solely on the food ordered for takeout. I ordered one pound of "jumbo" Scriacha dry rub wings. While they were tasty, they weren't even close to being jumbo. My wife and I decided to give Murphy's a try in lieu of our usual Friday night hangouts. After reading the negative reviews, we were nervous but it's close to our house so we went. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and decor of Murphy's. It's very welcoming and cozy. The hostesses were nice and sat us immediately. A lot of the negative reviews mentioned the bad service. They were crazy busy and it was pretty obvious that they were short staffed, but the effort was there. You could tell that they were taking the past criticisms seriously and trying to improve. We had the house wings and pretzels, which were both very delicious. I guess my only small knit pick is that it is called "craft house", but their selection of craft beers was relatively limited. We will definitely be back to hang out on the patio when the weather gets warmer and try some more food! read more

We enjoy their food. I especially like salmon, rice, and asparagus. The bar is well equipped. Lunchtime is when we often go.

For the most part we love the food and staff. We've had 1 incident where a Togo order was wrong and manager did not want to fix or refund but the bartender stepped in and offered a gift card to fix the situation. Other than that we love it! Also love the live music. read more

We were there a bit ahead of the crowd at 6 PM on a Saturday, so service started out very individualized and outstanding, and as the pace and crowd picked up, it waned a bit. Steak, Onion soup, Pizza and the Frisco Burger were the orders, and all were satisfied, very tasty. A couple of the lighter craft beers were ordered and they were equally thirst quenching... wrapped-up at the end with the cinnamon donut holes with apple butter dessert, which, hey, how could you go wrong? Actually, 5 stars if you go in person. This is about ordering for pickup. Every time we order they screw it up. Now what upset me is they messed up the order and I went back and handed the food back to the person in charge. When a restaurant makes a mistake then you expect them to expedite the order but was told it'll be a hour and a half. My daughter refuses to go to Murphy's for a pick up because she's tired of the return trips she has to make to fix the order. Now I'll agree that if I rip the bag open and inspect each order personally flipping over the burger buns and such when they hand it to me then there should be no problem. If you are into the Sports Bar s type of scene and want Bar type food then you may like this establishment. They do have steak on th menu. They have plenty of parking in a shared parking lot and always have a crowd. I went here with my husband. We called ahead to see if they had gluten free items and were told there were plenty of options. When we asked the server about the options we were told the only thing they had was gluten free pizza and a burger on a gluten free bun. For those not familiar with gluten free items there is always an up charge and for pizza you can usually expect to be able to order only a medium size at the price of a normal large pizza. Our order consisted of a gluten free pizza and diet soda for him and a ceasar salad for myself. Our bill was over $30.00. Not worth what we got. Needless to say we were very disappointed and will more than likely not return. read more

Unfortunately, this was not a very good night. I've been here several times before, without issue but tonight was off. Our group of 4 were seated immediately at around 6:20 pm on a Friday night. We asked for a drink menu and was told there was none. Two of us ordered from the bar-tequila sunrise and an ultimate margarita two had soft drinks. The drinks from the bar were excellent. The lemonade had an aftertaste to it. We had two appetizers- the pretzel and the fried goat cheese, both took a long time to come out of the kitchen. Pretzels were warm but had way too much salt and the mustard could have less horseradish in it. The fried goat cheese was surprisingly tasty with the balsamic and the arugula. Dinner took a long time to get to the table. 2 orders of the teriyaki salmon, one beef Oscar and one fish and chips. The salmon came with a choice soup or salad. One person was salad the other was soup- French onion. . It was good but be careful we were not told of the up-charge for the soup since it was not the soup of the day. The kitchen must've been short staffed this evening because the beef Oscar came out without the asparagus spears. The crab cake didn't have a lot of crab and had a slight sour taste- maybe a little too much lemon juice? The fish and chips had more chips that fish. The breading was a little different and the Cole slaw was missing. Never were the soft drinks refilled. Only after the meal was completed were we offered refills to go. Overall this was not a good experience and I have had a few at this Murphy's. Please do better. read more

Good location and ambiance. Food felt overpriced for what we got, especially the side salad (lettuce, tomatoes, dressing) that we were charged $4.50 for when the menu said $3. What took our 7/10 dinner down several notches was the service. While the server was pleasant enough, she was completely absent for most of the meal. It took several minutes to even get our drink order and then 15 minutes after we were done eating with empty drinks to get our bill. It took another 5 to come get our card and then another 5 to be able to sign and leave a tip. I could understand if they were busy or if she explained that something unusual was going on, but I personally witnessed her ignoring her other tables too and it was a slow Monday night with plenty of servers. read more
