Appetizers! Brat Bomb and mozz stocks
    Jennifer A.

Local smokehouse we checked out heading home from picking up a dog Started with a Brat Bomb which was super yummo! Charlee had the Mozz Sticks.. which are mozz sticks. Marinara was just ok. It's a smoke house... order MEAT! They brought a mini cornbread to the table right off. It's good. I will ask for more butter for it. We ordered a meat daddy platter which says served 4-6. I would agree. We wanted lots of leftovers. We got burnt ends, pork belly burnt ends, pulled pork, sliced brisket and corned beef. The burnt ends were to die for! The pork belly--ooh my G! Got the Mac n cheese and twice baked potato, fries and it came with more cornbread and pickles. I also ordered a small side of Cole slaw. Because you have to try the slaw... Twice baked pot stuff is good. But not amazing too me. I would put in more cheese and bacon. Not whip potato so much. Or maybe they are instant. But good flavor Mac n Cheese was epic! I can imagine how good the meals with the Mac n cheese and meat are. Pickles are excellent. Crunchy/dilly Coleslaw is really good. I LOvE a vinegar based slaw and this has a mayo dressing but it's light and not drowning the cabbage. It tastes great. Got a small baked beans because I wanted to try it. No self control. They were AMAZING! Way better than the potato's. Fries were crispy and had a great crunchy outside. Yummmm We ordered all this so we would have meals the next day. Totally worth it. The meat daddy JR would have been way more appropriate. Bathrooms were immaculate and had funny decor. Service was quick and bar looked like it had a nice selection. They had carbliss! Wished I wasn't getting right back on the Hwy home

    Pulled pork nachos (with everything)

Cute little bbq spot. We were greeted by a friendly server who brought us complimentary cornbread. The cornbread is fantastic! We ordered pulled pork nachos and a half pound of burnt ends. The burnt ends were good, nice seasoning and decent bark. The nachos had to be sent back as the pork was colder than room temp on first try. Second time around they were great. The house sauces are pretty unique. Heavy on the balsamic flavors. The spiciest one was our favorite. They make ice tea in house and it was perfect. The service was very nice and prices seemed fair.

We were seated immediately upon arrival. Small little seating area. Waitress was nice. We ordered the meat daddy and some naked wings. The food was decent. Really liked the dipping sauces. Husband said his meats were pretty good. He is always on the search for some good bbq. We heard about this place a while ago and wanted to give it a try.

We just had lunch. It was great. We were seated promptly. Not a very large place but had plenty of room. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful with this being our first time. Had some delicious warm honey cornbread to start. Since mother's Day they gave me a free mango mimosa which was delicious. My hubby and I split the Meat Daddy Jr Platter. It came with 3 meats and 2 sides. It said it feeds 2-3 people. We ordered the pulled pork 1/4 #, 2 pork ribs - very meaty, and 4 sweet chili wings. All were cooked great but I loved the pulled pork the best. Sides were potato casserole and the baked beans. Would get those again. Also came with 2 more loaves of corn bread. My main reason for doing the review is that we are headed back this way at the end of July and we want to come back.

    The Cuban

The food is incredible! I got a Cuban and the flavor was insane! I subbed brisket for the pulled pork and it didn't disappoint!

Stepping out of the car, you smell the mouthwatering aroma of smoked meat. The honey butter cornbread is a delight. My husband LOVED the brat bacon bomb appetizers. The brisket is solid. The coleslaw is nice and balanced--not sloppy wet and not overly sweet. The smoked chicken is good, just a little dry, and same can be said for the turkey. I had so much meat that I'll take my leftovers home and eat on a salad. Cute bathroom decor. They have a full bar and full coolers! This looks like a partying place to be in the evenings!

Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork and Burnt Ends all very good! Three BBQ sauces very flavorful and not too spicy. Cole slaw, beans, fires and cornbread all excellent!

I couldn't believe what I was seeing on their webpage, so I phoned the restaurant directly - once in town. The woman on the phone was extremely pleasant, yet informed me the hours posted were in fact correct, and that they were a small family owned place with limited help, so they'll seat their last customer at 1:15pm. I explained we'd just driven into town from Blue Springs specifically to eat there, thanked her for the clarification, then told her we'd return to dine there sometime soon. She was still kind enough to direct us to a couple other establishments in town that would promise a good experience; and she wasn't wrong. We'd decided we'd stop at Boudreaux's... They're a Louisiana style seafood & steak place. Known by the locals to be frequented by quite a few of the Kansas City Chiefs players from time to time. Ironically, we were within 400 feet of it when I looked it up. It was literally on the corner of the street we were on. So, we parked and went in. The interior was a little dark and kind of dated looking. It had a mezzanine that overlooked the lower dining area, and the black metal rails were decorated with the traditional fleur-de-lis symbols within it's panels, and they were scattered about the inside and outside of the building. It definitely reminded you of a little place you'd encounter on a visit to Mardi gras. Actually, come to think about it, it was exactly what you'd imagine a little place like this would look like inside if you were on Bourbon Street in Louisiana. We ordered a cup of Crab Bisque soup, which was divine! It arrived with a scoop of white rice and sour dough bread rounds. We'd also ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken balls; which were made with Cajun mashed potatoes & chicken, formed into golf ball sized balls and fried to perfection, then served with a special Cajun style creamed gravy sauce. That was also very tasty! Next, our entrees... We'd ordered the Seafood Jambalaya with a side of garden vegetables. This dish was slightly seafood forward, containing a trio of catfish, shrimp, and crawfish; it was layered amongst the usual Jambalaya suspects - of delicately steamed rice, seasoned tomato sauce and finished with traditional Cajun seasonings... add in the tri colored sweet pepper strips (cooked perfectly) and you have a very memorable lunch experience. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken smothered in their own version of "creamed gravy" but it was more like a complex Cajun cream sauce, served with Dirty Rice on the side. Again, undeniably delicious. It was perfectly breaded and expertly fried. We ordered quite a few items so we'd have the opportunity to experience some while there, and still have plenty to take home. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to have an authentic Cajun/Creole style meal.

The I was very surprised to see alligator bites on the kids' menu! My daughter liked them, although I thought they were a little bland. My 9-year-old ordered the Super Jambalaya and absolutely loved it . The kids' catfish looked crispy, and my son's friend really enjoyed it as well. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was very busy, so it was understandable. Even with the crowd, the servers stayed attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Well let me start off with the fact they are over an hour away from our home. Considering they have ruined us on any and all other burger and fries, it might become a habit. Husband had the Blackberry Bacon and Blue Cheese Burger. I do not on the norm like blackberries, but on this!!!! The blackberries sweetness stands against the strong overpowering blue cheese and they meld well to make a wonderful tasting combo. I ordered There Goes My Gryo.....how did they get a freaking lamb burger, a very lean meat be that juicy!?!? I dont know but with the peppers, tomato and onion made a fresh hamburger, might be good with some kalamata olive....but I am not complaining. It was delicious. I am picky on my fries and usually dont eat the full amount restaurants serve. I had to stop myself. They are more like a shoestring but not hard or crunchy. Seasoned wonderfully! My suggestion you go in there with a big appetite, grab lots of napkins and be ready to devour the best burger you've ever had!
