So today, I was running an errand near Koreatown (while wearing my broken sunglasses) so I turned to search Yelp to see if there was a sunglass shop that would be able to fix them today while I was already out. Fast forward - I go in and drop my sunglasses off because they said they can help me! The little knob slipped off of the nose piece - said it was a quick fix and within 15 minutes I was already back in with a fixed pair of sunglasses! They said no charge because it was such an easy fix and I just think that's such an example of great business and them not taking advantage of customers... Well, as it turns out, I have cataracts developing. They could easily have sold me $300 glasses, but they said " you don't need glasses, you need an ophthalmologist." So I made an appointment for next week at NYEE. Meanwhile, the people there could not possibly have been nicer, kinder or more welcoming. Both the young woman who administered the tests and the optometrist who reviewed the results and explained them to me, both are extraordinarily professional and caring.
