Fantastic food and great atmosphere! I stopped by Murrayhill Taphouse for the first time and was seriously impressed. I ordered the Taphouse Burger and the bruschetta -- both were so good!. The bruschetta was fresh, bright, and beautifully presented -- a perfect starter. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the vibe on the patio was relaxed but lively -- a great spot for dinner or just a casual drink. The beer selection was great! Yesterday, Tuesday October 23, 2025 my husband and I went to the Taphouse for lunch with our small dog. I went inside to see the hostess who brought us to an outside table, and brought us our menus. We waited at our table for close to 15 minutes and NO ONE came out to see us about placing an order. So we left. We will never come back to the restaurant. We have enjoyed meals inside in the past. We would have expected a server to come out since we did check in with the hostess. I am deeply disappointed in the lack of service we received. read more

Whenever I am dogsitting in the Progress Ridge area, I reach out to a friend in the area to see if she wants to go to lunch. I ask her where she wants to go, and she almost always says Murrayhill Taphouse! I arrived first, I asked for a booth and was promptly seated and asked if I wanted a drink while I waited. I got an iced tea. Since I arrived before my friend, I asked a couple questions about the menu. I also asked if the booth didn't work for my friend if we could move to a table more accommodating, my only request is that I could have a seat with padding. Most of the chairs at tables looked like hard wood seats. It did look like a few chairs were padded and the waiter said he was sure he could produce a padded chair if that situation arise. My friend arrived and said the booth was fine. I ended up getting the Spinach & Farro salad. marinated pickled onions, fennel, sliced strawberry, spiced pumpkin seeds, goat cheese, fresh mint, lemon dijon vinaigrette. I asked if the vinaigrette had dairy, was told no. I asked that the goat cheese be omitted, which it was. It was a pretty good salad! My friend got the Three Meats Pizza Board. She asked if there were any veggies on it, it does not come with veggies. She asked if they could put onions and garlic, and they were accommodating. The restaurant has a nice view of the man-made lake, and we could see a fireplace that added to the ambiance. Will was an attentive waiter. He checked on us many times. My friend ordered a wine, and when it arrived, it was a red wine. She was surprised, thought she ordered a white wine. She couldn't remember if she said Blanc after Sauvignon. But he promptly replaced the wine with Blanc. It was a fun experience with my friend! Definitely would come back in the future! read more

Me and my girlfriend have been coming here since opening day and it has always been one of our favorite spots to eat since. The service is phenomenal, including Saj, one of the bartenders, who is always so friendly, and kind and we're always looking forward to the conversations we have with him. Never a dull moment at the bar top, he takes excellent care of us. The food never disappoints, always delicious and the rotating seasonal stuff is usually pretty solid as well. Love the atmosphere of the place, there's a beautiful fountain outside in the big pond off murray Blvd that can be seen from just about anywhere in the restaurant, patio seating is great and has heaters for the colder days. This place is perfect for a date night, girls night, or just a fun low-key get together with friends and family! This restaurant is situated in its own corner with plenty of parking. They have a outdoor patio that looked like it would be hopping in the summer. Walking in, you check in with the hostess (also that's where the bathrooms are located too btw) and you can see the big busy open kitchen. There are plenty of different types of seating: bar, booths, small and big tables, and a nice semi private area in the back - this is where we sat with a group of 8 ladies. I'm sure this area is great for a big group gathering since it's in the back and much quieter than their main dining space. Since it is a tap house, they do have lots of options on tap. I opted for the beer and cider flight which came with 4 options of beer and cider if my choosing. So refreshing! The group got some different food options to have and share. The zucchini fries were hot and fresh, and the onion rings were huge! Some people got the flatbread variety and salad which everyone enjoyed but I truly think the desserts were the best part of our meal! Their donut holes came out piping hot covered in powdered sugar with chocolate and jam for you to dip into. They were more of a beignet vibe but plenty to share! One star because i actually love their food however I recently went there for this past Mother's Day. I wanted to take my mother in law out and it was my very first Mother's Day, I brought my 5 week old. I've never had worse service. We made a reservation because we knew it would be a busier day and requested seating next to the water which was told that was possible. We showed for our 10am reservation and was placed at the furthest seating from the water. We were also the first people sat on the patio. 4 tables were sat after us and with larger parties (we were a total of 3) we didn't receive water until 20/25 minutes of waiting, by then the other tables had already been brought appetizers and drinks. We were also told they couldn't move us because they were reserved even though we had also reserved and was told we could do one of the closer tables, they eventually moved us a little closer nothing great. My husband got up for the second time to complain about not even being able to order drinks yet. We ordered drinks and our food at the same time around 10:35am finally. By 10:45 we had still not received any drinks which were only mimosas and coffee. At that point we got up for the third time to complain and the food was delivered at that point with still NO drinks. They finally brought it over we ate quickly and was gone by 11am. I would have had more drinks but we were all so mad we didn't care to stay longer. They did not comp or discount anything for all we went through and honestly made my first Mother's Day morning pretty shitty as I not only was upset with the service but then had two others only focused on how upset they were that non of us could just sit and enjoy our brunch. The fact that we had to talk with someone 3 times (the manager in fact) is INSANE to me. Do not recommend! read more

The sandwich was delivered a little cool for a hot sandwich but it was flavorful and came with a horseradish sauce that was tasty. The fries were very good a thick cut with a curl very crispy. Highlight of the meal for me. Great selection of beers. A little miffed that my pint was poured to about 13oz. We subbed out the fries for their onion rings to try and they were good! Their chipotle bbq is interesting and their ranch is pretty good but I would be inclined to try other sauces from them next time. These were the star of the show for me. If the scenic production value didn't draw you in, allow me to do the honors. The vibe alone is worth a visit with a visually appealing central bar, reclaimed wood high top tables, deep couches, large river rock fireplaces and fun lighting and decor. The beers on tap provide a quality range of options and the cocktails are creative and fun. The price point is a little above average but the experience is also above average so it's well worth it! I've been here 3-4 times with friends. To my knowledge, the beer list is good as you would expect. There is also a full bar with some good cocktail options. Just the basics for NA beverages but I'm pretty over that because it's universal. The food is delicious. We've tried all the bruschettas which are great and many of the mores and two variety of s'mores plus a couple sandos and pizzas. I have liked everything and could always go for another plate of their weird and wonderful fries. In summer, I love sitting outside next to the "lake." We recently sat inside and were lucky to score a table next to the Xmas tree and fireplace and has that little area to ourselves which was really sweet. The service is also always good (except the feeling I describe below). But despite all that, it's not my favorite place - I've given it some thought and feel like it comes down to 2 things. It's a suburban tap house and really feels like it. That's pretty vague but it's definitely a different experience than other tap-houses I've been to. The interior may be a little too pretty, a little too perfect. No stars off of course just because I prefer a little grit. But secondly, I always feel a little rushed. At a lot of tap houses I've been to, we get a few beers and some bites, hang out for a while, get another round, maybe some more nosh and we leave when we are ready. This feels more like a restaurant that wants you to eat your food, drink your drinks with your meal and move along. That's business and I get it, but something to know if you want someplace to park it for an evening. read more

First time here- not the last. We got there around5:45- super busy and we were lucky to get a table in the bar. We tried the house made stuffed jalapeño. Sliced in half stuffed with cheddar and bacon, bread crumbs. Really good cilantro dip too. I had fish and chips. Loved it! It's coastal fish and chips good. Great fish, battered perfectly, light but meaty at the same time. Twisty fries are great too. My only slight criticism is the Cole slaw was kind of in between a vinegar slaw and a creamy slaw. It was good - I'd eat it again, but I'd like them to go either more creamy or more vinegar. My wife had the mushroom risotto- excellent. Had a bite. Hard to describe but good! The other items at the table were enjoyed- chicken nachos and a spicy chicken sandwich. I didn't try either. The only minor critique is the nachos could have been layered better. Absolutely the worst service! There was none! I even asked to be moved to a table so I could get service after 10 minutes and not even a glass of water. Two waitresses walked by repeatedly. The hostess said she would send a server to our table. I waited another 5 minutes or so and then when I left my table and told her that after 15 minutes and no service, I'll take my business elsewhere. She very rudely told me to have a good day. I will and so will the waitress that will get my tip at the place I am getting service at now! read more

NOT this place. Meh. I live walking distance from here and it reeks of meat inside (I'm vegan...sorry it's nasty,) and it's basically a "fancy Applebees." I'd rather sit in Applebees where it is what it is and you pay for what you get. Not location abs "atmosphere." I predict this place is closed as quickly as it opened as it's nothing special. A Negroni full of so much ice that it was nice and watered down. For $14? I'd rather go to a real cocktail bar. We need a local GREAT cocktail bar that isn't "Crapplebees" like this. Now that the grand opening days have passed the parking is much more accessible and you likely won't even need the overflow lot (though, if you do, it's literally next door). They now run like a well-oiled machine, the credit card machines have been resolved, they seated us quickly. (I made the reservation same-day, on-line.) Last night I had the mahi mahi w/grilled risotto cake and it was delicious. I'd get it again. My son had one of the burgers and loved it. We got the doughnuts for dessert because that's probably the main reason my son loves it there. Warm, crispy, covered in powder sugar, and served with Nutella and raspberry dipping sauces. I also ordered the lemon bars w/blueberry sauce (he doesn't like to share his doughnuts) and those were delicious too. Also something I'd order again. I've eaten here twice and tried to get things that are safe for me to eat due to celiac, which means I have to eat gluten free. While I understand most places can't promise there won't be cross contamination, most of the time, it works out for me but here I've gotten sick twice. This most recent time I was there I ordered a Cesar salad without croutons and I think I said it three times. But they still brought it out with croutons. I asked for it to be remade, because you can't pick them off and be safe with celiac. They told me they remade it, and maybe they did, but I've been sick for three days since. And the salad was nothing but romaine in a bowl with Parmesan. The dressing was on the side and there wasn't remotely enough. But because we'd waited a really long time for service and food, and I'd had to send it back, I just didn't say anything at that point. So I don't recommend this place for service and most definitely not for anyone with celiac. I'd caution anyone with any kind of food allergy, considering my two experiences there. And while I realize celiac is not a food allergy but an autoimmune disease, getting the food right is still important. They also have zero menu items marked for gluten free. But that's probably because there really aren't any. Won't be going back. read more

The lake views are simply wonderful and you can enjoy the outside fireplace, the lake views and all the geese from the patio. The bruschetta boards are phenomenal. What's so nice about them is you can pick your selection so if you like variety and a mix of things, you can try almost everyone in a sampler set with two orders. This is perfect for date night, or splitting with a friend. The last time I was here, I went with my parents. We ordered two bruschetta boards and the happy hour hummus. The food was so tasty and delicious. Definitely enough food for three people without ordering anything else. Rather reasonable and lots to try this way. The patio is dog friendly too. The antithesis of a sticky dive bar. Sometimes I want that and sometimes I don't. Murrayhill is busy, even on a weeknight so you should get a reservation, if possible. We had great service, and our waiter put up with all our questions and did a wonderful job being our guide. For some reason, they have the fires going year round inside, so that's a little weird, but it's cozy in the winter. The patio doesn't have a lot of street noise or weirdos walking by and is right by that little lake/pond in Beaverton, so I would sit out there in fine weather. I'd return to this cavernous Westside venue. Service was friendly and fast, prices a touch in negative range, but portions fair. The Caipirinha didn't knock it out of the park, but it was good. Props for offering a Japanese Old Fashioned. Food-wise, there were some hits such as the calamari and the 3-piece bruschetta boards. $5 per slice though, and the bread was slightly stale. Wish it was more Crostini-like, nevertheless, our favorite was the one with pistachios. The Caesar Salad with anchovy was a bland miss. The wings: take em or leave em. I overheard another table that was disappointed by the burgers. For dessert, the donuts were delicious and a good value. But the S'mores, meh. A good place for large groups, they also have a private room. The surrounding scenery is a treat with easy parking.
