Awesome food and a really fun place! I had the Russell Burger and this was seriously one of the best burgers I've eaten. Love this place! Customer Service is awesome. TV's are all around and they are actually paying attention to the sports that are currently on. Everything I've tried on the menu is outstanding. They have good beer and the people are actually friendly and appear to appreciate your business unlike Whiskey Daves and 572 Social which I will never go back to. read more

Just as many others have described, great casual atmosphere, fair prices, good beer , great burger. We were on a ride through the mountains and stopped here for a beer/burger. If you are snobby and uptight this is not the place for you! We happened to show up during an annual car show and this place was slammed. Servers were very busy yet still getting it done! This place is freakin amaze-balls. I came here for my first time on a ski trip over MLK weekend. I'm a pro when it comes to dive bars and even though my standards aren't really that high this place was extra impressive. First of all, they opened at 8am on a Sunday. I got my morning bloody mary quickly and it was delicious! Then I ordered their grilled cheese and let me tell you it was like angels breathing their sweet breath into my mouth. Best grilled cheese I've ever had. There were only two women working the entire joint and I still received my food and drink relatively quickly. Allison is amazing and easy on the eyes for sure. So, as if excellent food and drink isn't enough they have a FREE pool table! That's right all you cheap-skates, you heard me right..FREE POOL. Yes as some of the reviews will say its a little small and very local but the locals are wonderful! They welcomed us rabble rousing tourists with open arms. Go here and I guarantee you'll have an excellent time. read more

We love hanging out at Murray's. We are probably the oldest karaoke singers in the joint, but at 85 and 74, we still rock. Love the management and staff. They handle the huge weekend crowds with great finesse. The kJ keeps the singing coming. The food is excellent and plentiful. The "I Love this Bar" song says it all. You never know who you'll see, but everyone will be having fun! read more

Atmosphere was pretty good. Waitresses were friendly. I tried the Jalepeno bacon poppers, and they were okay, not great, not terrible, but you only get 3. Also had the bacon burger, big and okay. I wasn't a fan of the onion rings. Fries were okay. Also had sandwich, that the GF didn't like at all. This place may deserve a 2.5, but I'm rounding down instead of up.. Didn't try any drinks, so can't tell you if it's watered down. I would not say the prices were low, as others have, but they aren't terrible for the area. Wow! Great food, huge portions and a lot of fun on the weekends. Loud, but it's a saloon! My dad and Bros in law just dropped in for dinner (no drinking) but ended up laughing and occasionally singing along with those who were doing karaoke and who had obviously been imbibing. We came to Murrays on 12/14/15. It's fairly easy to find. We walked in right in front of another couple and honestly I got a bit upset at the fact that they were incredibly attentive to them and not so much to us. Basically we had barely ordered drinks when they ordered their food. Anyways I got over it. We order the free appetizer that is provided through Yelp (disclaimer: it's not on all the appetizers) I ordered the Hawaiian burger with came with pineapple and ham. My boyfriend ordered the turkey burger. They were out of turkey burgers so my boyfriend got a bacon, avocado, and blue cheese burger (minus the blue cheese) IT TOOK FOREVER! the couple that was right behind us had eaten and left well before we got our food. I still got over it LOL. When we got our food the burgers were HUGE! My burger didn't have the pineapple :( They were out but didn't notice until I told them. It was still great. They added a generous amount of ham too. My boyfriend LOVED it. Honestly all the little annoyances were well worth it. Staff can use some help with customer service skills too. The vibe is immediately better, the service was fast and friendly, the food is good and my girl says the burger is fantastic even though she has it lettuce wrapped with no cheese. I have no idea how this place has 4 1/2 stars! Worst experience I have ever had at any bar/restaurant. Took them more than 45 minutes to bring a $5 hotdog to our table while no one else was waiting for food. And when I asked why it's taking so long, the young female cook rolled her eyes. Saw that it was the bar to go in Big Bear and since we were staying at Northwoods around the corner, and we were antsy to get our drink on my friend and I decided to check it out. It's a tiny bar, with a few tables, a pool table, a catch-a-lobster claw game, YES, there's a catch a lobster claw game. You put in $2 and try your claw at catching a lobster. Supposedly if you catch one, Murray's will cook it for you. And there's dollar bills taped all over the walls and ceiling. We went when they had karaoke, found out there were less locals and more tourists at Murray's, Billy Spears is a dedicated britney spears karaoke enthusiast. I have vague recollections of my time at Murray's. We partied with a bachelor party, and I drank way too many shots, and beers, and more drinking games. Yea, pure shenanigans and lots of fun. Will go back when I find myself in Big Bear Lake another time. read more

Juice or however he spells his girlie name is a total asshole. He was rude and disrespectful and insisted on going between our chairs to clean up tables and was harassing us. Yelled at me for no reason which in my opinion is very unprofessional. No customer service at all!! No other worker had a problem with us but him. How he keeps his job here is beyond amazing!!
