I have lived in the area for more than 35 years and tried most all of the cleaners in the area but have been more than happy with their service, cleaning, occasional repairs, reliability and honesty. I strongly feel that you get what you pay for and understand that a good dry cleaning service is not cheap; I feel their prices are fair, especially these days given the costs of running a small business. I have been going to Murre for a few years now. I believe that I get great service. The work is always well done and on time. My only complaint is that they are next to the Farmers' Market on Saturdays so parking on that one day is a problem. read more

Satisfied with this cleaners to do some of my dry cleaning. A bit pricey but it IS Calabasas. Cleaning was done well, nicely packaged and easy to get in and out. Overall a good option when needed. read more

All I can say is check their work. Or, better yet, just skip the place. Backstory: Dropped off a number of items, one a full-length Herve Leger gown (which I request be folded in tissue and NOT put on a hanger due to its weight - per the Leger peeps)...ok easy enough, right? Well, I show up and the dress is on a hanger...strike one. I'm not thrilled, but am told they know what they're doing and I'm wrong and that's that. Uh yeah, ok whatever. I'm not happy and tell them as much, but let's move on. Then I ask about the slight tear in the dress that I asked them to fix, he said oh yeah I'm sure it's done. I, of course, after the whole hanger incident ;) check and guess what. Not fixed. Strike two. So I'm now thinkin' clearly this isn't happening here and ask for my money back (just for this one item, not the other $120 worth of dry cleaning) and he hands me a $10 bill. Knowing this whole little repair and dry clean party was more than 10 bucks, I ask to look at the receipt. The total for the Leger was $23. I ask where is the rest? He said they cleaned the dress and the repair (that didn't happen) only $10. I'm like how do I know it was cleaned (I only wore it once so really wasn't all that dirty but decided to do the gorgeous dress justice since it was goin' in for the small repair anyways). I'm like you said the repair was done and it wasn't. I asked upon drop off that the dress not be put on a hanger and it was. Why in the world would I believe you did even one out of the three things I requested? He refuses to give me the rest. I leave, declaring I won't return. Ever. Pity. I like supporting my local businesses. Unfortunately, this will no longer be one of them. read more

We have used Murre for years, but once they sold to the new owners it went downhill fast. They have ruined clothes and blamed it on the past owner. They have lost clothes and said they never received it only to have it show up months later. They will lie to your face. Be very careful of these people. We will never ever go there again and I hope this posting will keep others from having a terrible experience as well. STAY AWAY!!! A two star rating is far to high!!! read more

They literally slashed the back of my shirt & instead of admitting to their mistake proceeded to cover it up by ironing white tape & returning it...thinking I wouldn't notice. What's worse than the damage is the lack of integrity, pride & honesty...especially to a longtime/loyal customer. This from a cleaner who charges a premium & takes 3 days to return cleaning. Owner promised to call back...never did!!!! Suggest you find alternative...let my poor experience help you!!! read more

We love & appreciate this cleaners. Have used them exclusively for years....posted negative reviews are puzzling.

This dry cleaners does not take pride in their work. I have had to call several times, to tell them that the buttons on my husbands shirts have broken after they had cleaned the shirts. They never offered to repair them and they obviously do not check their work before returning items to their customers. To spite the extra buttons, sewn on the shirt... they do not ever replace them. I have stayed loyal to Murre Cleaners because it is convenient and I guess I hoped that they would improve their service. I have been a customer for years and that is making the point of my review. I brought in a large, very expensive, fine cashmere shawl to be dry cleaned which was damaged in the process(10" tear). When I picked up, they pretended like I must have done it myself. I know they damaged it, and they know they damaged it, yet lied to my face about it. I am apalled this is the route they choose to take. In their eagerness to cover their behinds, they choose to disregard customer loyalty or honor long time customers. I would no longer trust them with anything, and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This cleaners ruined several of my husband's shirts with permanent black marker stains that they use to write your name on the shirt. Stay away! read more
