Talk about a hidden gem! We were craving some hot chicken and tried this place out. Music City Hot Chicken is inside of the brewery TRVE. We actually could not find it right away because we did not realize they were in the same place. Located all the way at the back of the brewery. I got a chicken sandwich in Nashville hot. My husband got their chicken tenders in the green chili blend. For my side I got the sweet potato fries. Our food was ready pretty quickly, just know to pay attention because they are not going to bring it to your table. The flavor of this chicken was incredible. True Nashville Hot seasoning! The green chili seasoning was amazing too and good thing since it is such a staple flavor here in Colorado. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the chicken was tender. Our taste buds were blown away. And to be able to pair this food with a craft beer, the icing on the cake. For the vegetarians/vegans they do have a vegan chicken sandwich. Music City Hot Chicken was recommended to us when we were visiting Denver and the fact that Trve Brewery was in the same building made a visit here a no brainer. You go to the very back to place your order and when it's done, you simply grab it and take it back to your seat. While waiting, I suggest that you grab a beer. The individual who helped us was very nice and the service was fast. I went with the tenders. You also choose the heat level so I went with Nashville hot. They were delicious. Super moist and the heat was nice. Not super overpowering or overwhelming. Just a nice burn and good flavor. And the breading was good too. My boyfriend tried the chicken and waffles which is on the brunch menu and is available on Saturdays and Sundays. It was served with honey butter and fireball syrup. He loved it and has regularly commented that he wants more chicken and waffles since we've returned. We also went with a couple of sides-fries and Mac and cheese. And a variety of dipping sauces-house, ranch, and honey mustard. The Mac and cheese was the least favorite of the two. We had three people in our party and we all agreed that the sauce was a bit thin and we'd probably not order this side again. The fries however, were awesome. They are the super thick puffy cut that you never see anymore. Definitely get some! The ranch and honey mustard were completely overshadowed by the house sauce. The house sauce was a little smokey, a little spicy, and a little sweet with Smoked tomatoes, chipotle, and lime. This sauce with the hot chicken and fries was perfection. Great service. My food was to go, as with everything fried, the fresher the better. I did reheat in the air fryer when I got home. The chicken was good. The slaw was a little bland. I ordered the "Green Chili Blend-some heat" for my 4-piece tenders. He really enjoyed his sandwich. My tenders, on the other hand, were so hot, I just boxed them up after one to take them home. I had him try one and he asked why I ordered a hotter spice than his and I explained the one I picked was less than his. I guess the "some heat" level was beyond my range. The green chili blend looked like a blackened seasoning in the light when I got home. It is quite dim in TRVE where MCHC is located. Unfortunately I'll leave this place to my hubby in the future. Phenomenal hot chicken place inside Trve brewing! I ordered online from the QR code and just went to the counter to pick iron up when it was ready. Loved their brunch menu, it paired perfectly with Trve beers. The Nashville hot had a GREAT kick! More than I expected. It was so good, and I was in love with the raspberry pepper jam. It added a great sweetness with the kick of Nashville hot, my mouth didn't stop watering. My boyfriend's Hot Mess sandwich was also amazing! The potatoes were very crispy, flavored great. I've tried many places around Denver and music city is always my go to chicken place to come back to. They have a simple, small menu but that's all you need. Their chicken is always hot and super crispy. They also have the best sides, like the Mac and cheese and fries are the best. They also have a nice lunch deal that I take advantage of sometimes if I just need a quick bite for a reduced cost. The service was nice although we only interacted when picking up the food. The guy at the counter was really nice even thought he was very busy. As for the food, we tried the southwest chicken sandwich which was good if not a little bland. However, the Nashville hot chicken was spicy but so so delicious! The flavor hit me with a start of sweetness and then spiciness all the way. So tender, so juice, delicious. The Mac and cheese needed a couple more minutes of extra cooking and the fries were not my favorite - just a matter of preference there. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing meal. I'm not really sure how, but the belgian waffles had a strange bitter... salty taste to them? I've never had a belgian waffle that wasn't a little bit sweet, at least. The tenders were bland, but not terrible. Maybe if you order it "southern" style hot, that means mediocre seasoning? The best part was the fries. The sweet potato ones were especially good. I can't bring myself to rate it less than a 3, as everything wasn't great, but it wasn't TERRIBLE or anything. Their partnership with the brewery is completely awesome as you can now get a great beer with your chicken here. The place is clean and the chicken is always consistently good. Do yourself a favor and get the green chili blend. A few things to note... They now require your vaccine card to enter. They are super responsible with their Covid protocols, so do be aware of that. You can just bring in a picture if that's easier. The music can also get really really loud, but if you sit closer to the door it's not as aggressive. Not a complaint! Just a preference. Review from yesterday, I stopped in during lunchtime. As a 20+ yr veggie, I'm always stoked when places have easy options ON MENU for me to choose from. TRVE didn't disappoint. I ordered just about everything I could, and ate with reckless abandon until I was ready to pop. It was banging. I'd be remiss to mention that there was an absolutely wonderful employee there- woman, dark hair, working the register as well as the kitchen. She was super welcoming from the moment I walked up, answered all of my q's/musings, didn't judge the amount of food I ordered (and in fact, cheered me on)...and was just a delightful human, in general, to interact with. I found this place through KreamKimchiCo- another fabulous local business with veggie options that I'm currently obsessed with.
