The atmosphere became uncomfortable, and it was obvious something was wrong. Afterward, I asked one of the servers if they were okay because I was genuinely concerned by what I had witnessed. Their response only reinforced my impression that the work environment was not a positive one. As a customer, I believe employees deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Watching management interact with staff this way left a lasting negative impression and affected my overall experience. I hope Billy and Michelle take the time to reflect on how they treat their employees and work toward creating a more respectful workplace.

Where do I begin with the unwelcoming and terrible service I received! I walked in to sit at the sushi bar and had a sign shoved in my face telling me until my bf got there I couldn't eat. I explained to the rude lady that I was the only one eating and that my bf would be joining me later. She pointed at a table and told me to sit down. I sat there with no service for awhile until I finally told someone to get me a drink and a sushi menu. The menu this rude lady brought me was a menu that had pictures of the sushi roles... I'm sorry but how am I supposed to know what is INSIDE these rolls. So I then wait again to get a menu with the explanations of the rolls. I then continue to wait to FINALLY order and ask to have them bring wasabi and ginger like every other sushi place. She decides to question me about why I want it and that it is coming with my food. I don't care what I want it for, when I ask for a service don't question me! She finally brings it. At the end she came to ask if the bill was ready to take and proceeds to COUNT IT IN FRONT OF ME! How unprofessional and rude! Completely uncalled for and low class. I will NEVER go here or recommend this place. I should have left the minute she shoved a sign in my face! read more

This is the ultimate roll "play". One of the few japanese places that serves almost only rolls-- and does and excellent job doing so. When you walk in, you only see 4-5 sushi chefs and 2 waiters/waitresses, definitely a place where sitting at the bar is the way to go. I enjoyed the rolls that I got-- the eel and cucumber roll was the BEST Unagi that I ever got!!! And i cannot downplay that one bit, because they must put a little something something in the eel when they bake it because that is some seriously good eel. My other favorite roll was the Chilean sea-bass which as a fish, blows your mind. Never will you have fish that is so darned tender, you thought you were eating pork chops or veal. Truly delightful and delicious. Overall, a great place to take out to impress for a date, or to satisfy a craving, not meant for the nigiri or hardcore japanese fish-dishes, but great for rolls and great tastes. It was my first visit and we were very satisfied. We arrived at the restaurant at about 6PM and the owner was welcoming us with warm greetings. The restaurant was clean and the staffs were attentive. I liked that they have lots of combo menus, they even have many triple combo menus. We ordered Tempura Sasimi combo and Chicken teriyaki Tempura Sasimi Combo. We also ordered some appetizers and I loved the fried tofu! Sasimi was very fresh and being melted in my mouth!! We all had tons of food that we were so full and the bill came in. I was surprised that it was not that expensive at all. The owner and staffs were very kind and attentive and it was not that noisy. It was my first time in America, and I ate pretty heavy things like hamburgers, burritos, and pizza every day. I wanted to eat Japanese food, and I wanted to eat sushi, so I heard about a sushi restaurant recommended by a friend in Los Angeles and decided to visit here. As soon as you enter the store, you are instantly transported to Japan. The interior of the store makes you feel Japan from the atmosphere, far from Los Angeles. I ordered the ones in the picture, but they are all excellent. The freshness was just as delicious as in Japan. Especially the shrimp and California roll made me happy! I recently discovered Mutsumi Sushi Restaurant in Chatsworth, tucked away in a small strip plaza, and I couldn't be more impressed! The quality of the fish here is outstanding, fresh, and beautifully prepared. I particularly enjoyed the yellowtail hand roll and the albacore deluxe roll--they were both delicious and expertly crafted. What really stood out was the super speedy service; my food arrived promptly without compromising on quality. I'm already looking forward to returning to try more items on their menu. What can I say I have never written a yelp review before but after the experience I had at mutsumi I felt the need to. This was my 5th time coming here and I keep having an odd problem with the Manager Ken. He treats women badly and gives dirty mean looks. It is very weird because the rest of the people who work here are friendly and cool. The service is good and the people are nice other than him! Anyways I always leave a 20% tip and this time he told me not to come back for no apparent reason. My best guess is that he hates his job and doesn't care about the place. I've been coming to this sushi restaurant for years, and the quality has never wavered. The sushi chefs are incredibly talented, and the rest of the staff is always friendly and accommodating. However, the manager, Ken, is a completely different story. His behavior towards customers is unacceptable. He has a habit of arbitrarily kicking people out. Saia, the new manager, is a breath of fresh air and should be promoted. I see him treat his employees badly too... He's a nightmare of a manager who has no people skills. I wish he would just get fired and replaced. Not coming back until he is gone... I suggest more people write reviews if Ken isn't doing a good job and you notice too! But please don't get me wrong I loved Omino and wish it was still owned by the old owner. My second favorite Sushi Bar in the valley. This is a no nonsense place without the trendy/hip BS you get at some places. You want great sushi by chefs that care and know what they're doing? Try this place it's great. The best sweet shrimp and soft shell crab I ever had. Their Uni is always fresh and as succulent as only Uni can be. Makes me hungry writing about it. Mutsumi sushi is top notch! Fresh fish and mostly traditional Japanese menu, including all of their cooked dishes. It's hard to find places with authentic Japanese sushi chef but they have the real deal here. Overall, an amazing sushi spot. Highly recommend checking them out! read more
