I don't think I ate better food at any point during this trip to Maui. Rosemary flatbread with whipped ricotta was sublime! I had a caprese salad with burrata and basil and balsamic. I literally wish I could have eaten 5 of them it was so good and so fresh! Hubby had the spaghetti and he said he could tell the sauce was very fresh. Muumuu was a disappointment. We arrived on time for our 7pm reservation, were seated at 7:20pm, placed our order at 7:30pm, and got our food after 8pm. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and disorganized. The food was mixed: (1) the zucchini pizza was delicious, with freshly made pesto and a crunchy crust; (2) the chopped salad was missing chickpeas and tomatoes; and (3) the seafood linguine was simply a swirl of pasta with spaghetti sauce and one scallop, 2 shrimp, and 3 clams on top, served lukewarm. To top it off, the music was way too loud. Part of my frustration is due to the fact that Hawaii prices are so high. While this is expected and understandable, it makes mediocre experiences such as this one really sting. read more

I love a good Italian restaurant. The decor and ambiance was very modern and clean. We loved the fried zucchini appetizer. The bolognese was delicious too, with perfectly al dente cooked rigatoni. We also ordered 2 pizzas. I would have enjoyed them more but they were too charred. read more

This little Italian place has the best spaghetti I've tried! My rest of the fam is vegetarian and they just custom- made their pasta dishes which were amazing! The atmosphere is somewhat industrial but cozy, You feel how chill and friendly the staff is with each other and with the guests. Highly recommend if you are staying in Kanaapali area! read more

100% would recommend this new restaurant. Such a great menu. We had a hard time deciding what to order from the appetizer/salad to the entree. We started with the whipped ricotta bruschetta and a nice bottle of Montepulciano. My husband wasn't that hungry and we have been eating a lot of fish lately so he ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. We are Italian so we are pretty critical of Italian cuisine. He said it was really good. And would order it again. So that's saying something. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese. It was piping hot and excellent. It was a short rib and sausage ragu. So tasty. The portions were generous and my husband asked for extra sauce when he ordered and it really wasn't needed. The service was excellent and there's a nice vibrant atmosphere. Only suggestion would be to offer some sort of bread option as the sauce is too good to waste and a rich chocolate dessert for the red wine. We will definitely be back either before we leave or when we come back to Maui. PLEASE give this restaurant a try. You won't be sorry. read more

We've now been to the new restaurant MuuMuu twice in three days and have thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience both times. Their menu has something for every taste. MuuMuu's pizza has a very unique and flavorful thin crust and their Caprese salad and chopped salads are the best on the island. BTW, this is a commentary from full-time residents of Maui that have had the chance to frequent most other Italian restaurants on Maui. Their appetizer olives and meatballs are out of this world!! We haven't had the chance to have their pasta dishes yet but have seen them go by to other tables and they looked and smelled fantastic! This restaurant has been open for three weeks to date and because of its great food word is out and reservations are highly recommended. Word of caution, because of its rising popularity, don't be in a great rush, order your libations, kick back and enjoy your drink, I promise the quality and taste of the food will make your slight wait worthwhile. The service gets an a+. They kept watch on us without hovering. It's in a strip mall, so there are no views just so you know. We ordered a burrata caprese salad which was really good. We also ordered a pizza but the bottom was burned black, the top not cooked, not a very good pizza. I looked around to see some other dishes that looked good though. read more

We REALLY wanted to like this place. It is less than a mile from our home and could have been a weekly stop. Unfortunately, they just can't seem to figure out customer service. We have now eaten here 4 times and every time have had an issue. First and foremost, always check your bill. The first time we went here we checked our receipt and found that we had been double billed for our appetizer. We decided it wasn't a big deal and didn't go back to complain. The second time we ate here we were double charged for our beverage and didn't not receive a full dessert. This time we complained and the manager responded. We thought it was resolved and made a third reservation with the manager. On that visit the food was OK, but we were disappointed that no effort was made to remedy the past errors (ie, complimentary beverage or appetizer to compensate for the previous overcharging). Tonight we decided to give it a final chance and went down for happy hour snacks. Website states Happy Hour is 3-5pm. We purposely went at 4:45 so we could order a couple of apps, and then order our main meals off the regular priced menu at 5:00. After we were seated we asked for the Happy Hour menu and were told it would not be honored. We asked what the hours were and were told 3-5. We showed our watch that it was 4:45 and were told that they "decided" to stop serving Happy Hour food at 4:45. To be clear...this has nothing to do with the money, it is the principle of the matter. They clearly have no understanding of customer service. Very disappointing. read more

Second best meal we had in our 2 weeks in Hawaii! (Best was Mama's Fish House!). I really wish we would have discovered MuuMuus earlier in our trip, because we would have eaten there more often. We shared a delicious short rib pizza with caramelized onions, Alfredo sauce and truffle oil. The pizza crust was so good! The pizza is not huge, but it's plenty for two to share with a salad. We also ordered the Italian chopped salad which was wonderful as well. It had salami, shaved Parmesan, fresh mozzarella, chick peas, black olives, red onions and a bunch of other ingredients. We loved it, and we'll definitely be back next time we are in Maui. It was a little hard to find because the sign is small, but it's definitely worth looking up! read more

The capresse salad with Burrata was fresh and excellent and used generous amounts of heirloom and Italian tomatoes. The Linguine di Mare was good, as were the scallops and roasted chicken. The Chianti was well balanced, dry, with a medium body. Judging by what people were ordering, pizzas seem to be what many were gravitating to. Wait staff were friendly, busy, and attentive. We had Bruschetta and a pizza. The Bruschetta was exceptional but only 3 pieces for $17. We split an Italian Sausage pizza $28, which has a tasty crust (nice prepared in a big wood burning pizza oven). My wife thought the sausage was excessively spicy but I thought it was only slightly overly spicy but still of high quality. If looking for a good place to eat for a decent value, Muu-Muu's fits the bill. read more

We ordered five pizzas all that one were severely burnt. We've had woodfired pizza a lot in the past, and these were so severely burnt you could barely taste the sauce. All you could taste was burnt dough. Not only that the toppings were sparse. I ordered the margarita and I think I had a total of three sprigs of basil. I would not recommend this place to anybody.! our friends ordered the sausage and maybe a level tablespoon of sausage was added to the pizza very unhappy. read more

What an amazing place to eat at especially if you are craving something other than seafood in Lahaina. The food was amazing, staff were friendly, and the ambiance was great. I highly recommend this new establishment and hope they will be open the next time I am on Maui. read more

We tried it for happy hour for the first time. Good wines for only $7 and the HH food menu had a variety of items that gave us good selections of their offerings. Being Italian, I'm pretty critical. The meatball was moist and flavorful. The marinara sauce is flavorful without being overpowered by garlic and acidity. The fried zucchini is delicious and not greasy. The margherita pizza had a nice dough, crust and sufficient sauce and cheese. Happy Hour was a good introduction to the menu & we look forward to going back for dinner. read more

We were worried that we would not find dinner on Christmas. My husband found this restaurant on google and booked it. He made an excellent decision. The price is so reasonable for such delicious food and service. Staff are polite and warm, server was wonderful. We ordered the roast chicken which was juicy and flavorful. Spaghetti cooked to perfection and the mushroom was beautifully seasoned. The broccolini was so tender as well. Great experience that we hope to repeat soon! read more
