Our server was AMAZING because we had two individuals in our party that are the absolute pickiest eaters which I'm sure was overwhelming to the waitress. I mean incredibly picky. She handled it so well! She deserves the biggest tip just for that haha! We I got a pizza and a Caesar salad and they both were so yummy! My dad got the chicken sandwich and it looked amazing and he enjoyed it a lot! My mom got the shrimp Alfredo and it was also cooked to perfection! The place was a mess and chaotic, a bench for waiting under a projecting decoration so you had to lean forward and bend down to sit. Nothing redeemable about this place. We were so happy to see that Dollie's is still around after my family last dined there over 26 years ago. We got a little worried about the quality of service after seeing some of Yelp reviews, and we did experience some attitude from someone on the phone when we called to ask about their hours. For that, I had to deduct a star. The food and our waitress were both outstanding. Our party of 11 all ordered pizzas to share, and we were set up at multiple tables around the restaurant. My favorite pizza was the Rhino, which is a garlic and oil base with Italian sausage, spinach, sundried tomatoes and roasted onions. The ambiance is as expected for a sports pub, with fairly loud noise levels but that's nothing new to us. Overall, we all really enjoyed our pizzas and we will definitely be back next time we take a family trip to Lahaina! read more

My family went into this place to grab a quick bite. We ordered pizza. It just okay, which would have been ok if it wasn't so overpriced! $30 for a 12". I know I have to pay vacation prices but that was pretty extreme. More notable was the terrible service. The guy who took my order was incredibly rude and didn't want us to sit at one of the tables after we paid for our food because we originally ordered it to go. He seemed annoyed that I'd even ask and he said " it didn't work that way" and I shouldn't expect table service and I couldn't have any waters while we waited. While we were waiting, two other employees were arguing with another customer about their bill and were quite rude to him as well. Don't go there- it's not worth it. On vacation and wanted to watch the NFC Championship game, Rams vs Seahawks. I am a Rams fan and was looking forward to hanging out with other Ram fans. Started Yelping this establishment and stated that there are plenty of fans from all over. I was excited to head down there. But what they forgot to mention is, that it is a Seahawks and 49ers bar fan base. Out of 70 people, we were the only Rams fans there! Felt awkward. Overall it is a good bar. Great ambiance but parking can be hard to find. You may get lucky to find a visitor and retail spot pending the time and day. Everyone was friendly. Clean restrooms. My only complaint on this entire island is that every sports bar has small screens. 45" to 50". I advise for Dollie to start investing on some 100" screens. Prices these days are affordable. Also advising for them to serve pitchers on Draft. Everything is sold by bottle or glass. Overall, enjoyable. Good food and friendly service. Was excited to come here and grab some pizza tonight as others said it was really good and according to Google, it is one of the only open late night food spots near Ka'anapali. Called to check and see if it was open due to the storm and the dude on the other end of the line rudely said "Well I answered the phone didn't I?" and hung up. Should have been my first hint. Arrived and it was wall to wall people and the pizza smelled incredible. Lady at the front said "open seating" so I picked the single open table near the back (bar was full) and after 15-20 minutes was never served nor acknowledged (Even a "hey we're slammed can you please give me a few minutes." I 1000% can appreciate). As usual, I refuse to give my business any place that doesn't care whether I'm there - so I left. Such a shame. read more

No frills. Literally, divey but not sketchy. It's where the locals hang. But if you're visiting it's worth trying out cause you get the feel of "aloha" and chill vibes once you step in this place. Below the apartments are a strip of shops and Dollies is located at the end of the building. Food: I had the Chicken Alfredo and I would give it a solid 9/10. It was surprisingly good. The bread was good too. My husband had the Mongo Meat Pizza and he gave it a 8/10. It was full of yummy toppings and packed with good flavors too. Drinks: Happy Hour from 3-6 and then 9- closing. Pretty nice little menu of bites and drinks too. Parking: Good luck, ha! There's limiting parking but if you circle a few times or park along the streets you get a spot eventually. I'm staying very close to this restaurant and wanted to grab a pizza and relax in my room. I ordered through Yelp via DoorDash and chose pickup. When I went to the takeout counter, the older male employee working there was focused on the order screen and didn't acknowledge me for about two minutes. When he did realize I was there, there was no greeting or apology for the wait. I gave him my order name, he asked the kitchen staff for it, handed it to me, and that was it. I had to ask for the ranch that comes with the pizza, and when I asked for a second one, he seemed irritated. I explained that on DoorDash you can select up to two sauces, but there isn't an option to enter a quantity -- you simply check the box. Since I'm allowed two sauce selections, I expected two ranches. The interaction felt dismissive, and there was no "thank you" or "enjoy your meal." Once I got back to my room, the pizza looked quite different from the photos posted on Yelp. It tasted okay, but overall it wasn't impressive. Realized I never finished my review. Not bad spot. Stopped in with a friend who had a gift card to spend and glad I got to tag along. A little out of the way for me but it's located in a great spot. Easily accessible for many tourists and locals nearby. Small private parking lot but there is street parking available. Went in during the weekday for lunch and it was casual and not too busy. I can imagine it getting packed in there when there are games on or weekend lunch/dinner rush. Feels like a great place to hang out. I appreciate that even for a bar scene they offer lots of good food choices so there's definitely something for everyone. We opted for two different pizzas and a salad. All were great choices. My wife and I are from Las Vegas, Nevada, and after trying a few different bars, we finally found Dollies. We're so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, Seth the bartender was incredible in every way. The entire crowd made us feel welcome, not like tourists, but like part of the local community. We ended up going back every single day during our trip. Each visit was just as great as the last. We made new friends, exchanged numbers, and truly felt at home. On top of that, the food is absolutely amazing and much more affordable than anything you'll find at the resorts. I've visited Dollies at least two dozen times over the past decade. Things have changed, and not for the better. Short version: Inferior product, bad service, deceptive charging. Longer version: I've been here many times, as I said. During my last trip, shortly after the Lahaina fire, not much had changed at Dollies; good food, good service, and pleasant ambiance despite the fire. This time, things were very different. The ambiance of a sports bar that continues to be a sports bar didn't change much. But that's about the best thing I can say about this time around. Firstly, the food. They no longer offer a thin crust option. Seems odd to me that they'd get rid of thin crust. Obviously, a thin crust should cost less to produce than a regular crust. But whatever, not the end of the world. However, this time there was also markedly less cheese and noticeably smaller portions of toppings. And I don't know quite how to articulate it, but the meat (or cheese, or I'm not sure what exactly) tasted old. And note: this is eating in the restaurant, not delivery. But even more concerning to me was the service. We went twice this trip. Would have been at least one more visit this trip, but for the service... We are four adults and one seven year old. First time in, dinner on a Friday. We had a server I've seen many times before. No complaints there - she did a great job, same as my previous experiences, all good there. I was slightly disappointed about the quality of the food; but Lahaina has been through a lot recently, so it seemed totally understandable to me. Second time in: lunch time mid-week. Not very busy, many empty tables. We sit down, again four adults and one child. Our server was a guy I hadn't seen before. He was a bit slow with everything; from dropping off menus and water, to taking our order, to refilling drinks. But he appeared to also be the bartender, so I was willing to let that slide. We had our meal, and asked for the check. He brought it over and surprisingly I noticed we had been charged an 18.5% "large party" fee. He did not say anything about this at any point prior to delivering the check. I've never had a "large party" charge assessed at Dollies before, nor have I ever had a "large party" fee assessed at any other restaurant for four adults and one child. Not even on our first visit two days before did our waitress assess that charge. And honestly, I don't even really care about the charge itself - there are enough people that tip little or nothing that I'd really prefer that every restaurant charge such a fee... but I find it disturbing that he didn't mention it at all. I went to mention it to him. I wasn't trying to get the charge removed or anything like that. I just wanted to make sure he knew that his tip would have been higher if he didn't assign the charge, or at least had he notified us that he would be charging it. I normally start at 20% of the total bill, that's after taxes have been applied. So definitely more than 18.5% before taxes. When I went to say this to him, he was engaged in conversation with another clearly unhappy patron. We made eye contact more than once. He absolutely knew, or should have known if he is anywhere near a good server, that I was waiting to speak with him. When he concluded his conversation with the other patron, he turned his back to me and quickly made busy cleaning off a table (back to me the whole time). Again, many empty tables so really not a pressing matter. I ran out of patience and approached him while he was cleaning. I told him that I was disappointed to see that he had assessed the "large party" fee (again four adults and one child) without mentioning to us that he was doing so. I told him he would have gotten a better tip if he had said something about it. He acted like I was a jerk for pointing this out. He said that the menu notes a 18.5% surcharge for parties of 5 or more (which is in small print as an asterisk on the back page) and he went back to cleaning and clearly didn't care what else I had to say, so we left. Again, he would have gotten a higher tip if he had simply said he was applying this charge. To me, it's not about the cost, it's about transparency. If it was just one thing or another, I wouldn't be writing this review. But there were multiple disappointments. I've never had that sort of interaction with anyone at Dollies before. It was clear he wasn't interested in a customer's opinion. Repeat business seems not to matter anymore, I guess. If I hadn't noticed the charge, he would have gotten my usual 20+% on top of the 18.5% he did not mention. I understand Dollies is under new ownership. Maybe this was a result of that. Regardless, to potential patrons as well as current ownership: this is unacceptable. read more

We ordered a pizza to go - pepperoni, sausage and bacon. The crust is made out of delicious sour dough. It was a little bit thick for my preference but it was a darn good pizza. They quoted 25 minutes for the pizza and it was ready right on time. The place was packed. I recommend this local pizza restaurant. They do a great job! read more

Horrid rude host at door. Had my clearly marked trained service dog with me who had been there many times over the years as had I. Upon entering he screamed at me u can't bring that dog into this restaurant! I stated she is a service dog. He asked what service dog and I responded and he asked further which is against the law! He then grumbled that she can't have any water and I can't feed her from the table and she has to be under it! Again I am fully aware of the ADA laws and rules regarding this matter! We seated ourselves and he continued to stare and glare at us as if waiting to catch me! Our other friend arrived and he refused to sit or stay after we told him how I had been treated. He informed the host why we were leafing and we were all very upset! Both my friends and I have eaten here many times in the past over the years and I used to host a huge pizza party every year at napili Kai for over 75 people! Never again will any of us go back! Never mind the cockroaches all over they don't seem to care about! Would he treat someone in a wheelchair like that? Because my disability is not visible does that mean I have to be embarrassed in front of my friends and reduced to tears!?! I do have legal rights and am fully aware of them! To top it off, the pizza was incredibly salty, and we got two different kinds. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink and enjoy some music with friends, Dollies might fit the bill. However, I would recommend skipping the pizza and maybe opting for something else on the menu. Definitely feeling unsatisfied and unlikely to return for food anytime soon. My wife are renting a condo down the street and we had checked Yelp to see where to eat close to where we are staying. I love pizza so we decided to try Dollies. It was Thursday night around 8 pm so we weren't sure how busy they would be. We walked into a bar area that was almost full and two or three customers tables taken. We selected a high top and were waited on right away by a very nice waitress ( we didn't catch her name). We ordered a couple of drinks and decided to order. My wife ordered the chicken Alfredo and I chose a 12" Meat Mongo. My wife loved the Alfredo, comparing it to her favorite place back in Arizona. The pizza was delicious. Generous toppings and cooked just right. From the time we ordered to when we received our food( about 10 min) the entire restaurant filled up. Every table was full so I'm glad we came when we did. I would have given Dollies a 5 star review until we went back... On our first visit we had a great lunch! The food and the service were both fantastic! We then went back to get a pizza to go while we were also waiting on a to go order from Miso Phat Sushi. The guy at Dollies that took our order was one of the rudest people I have come across in a while! After we placed the order we went to the bar to have a beer while we waited and had a totally disinterested bar tender. Our first interaction once we sat down. The server came to our table and told my daughter she couldn't have her coffee that she brought in at the table. That she had to put in on the FLOOR! And not drink from it. My daughter is underage and would only be ordering water either way. We should have walked out then. She felt so disrespected. The FLOOR? Come on! Why we stayed I'm not sure. The only sign outside stated you could not bring in alcohol. However we stayed and ordered buffalo wings and asked if they could put the Padres game on. Their website claims they can get any game. Well they couldn't. We got our "buffalo" wings. We tried to distinguish exactly what flavor they were. But clearly not buffalo. They were fatty and not good. We didn't finish them. I ordered an upcountry pizza to go went to pick it up brought it home opened the box and it's burnt to a crisp. I called them up and they said I had to bring the pizza back so they could replace it. Their attitude was very dismissive and rude. I asked him don't you check the pizza before it goes out and he said no they do that in the kitchen. Dollies used to have great consistent service & mouth-watering food. It was always my GO-TO especially living nearby. Multiple times now... the food is TOO SALTY or the bread is burnt. Service didn't provide utensils for take-out orders or any bags no more. Especially when answering the phone, his tone was strong & aggressive which matched when picking up. Good tavern food and good beer prices have always defined Dollies. A lot of local folks go here and they are not going out of their way to be touristy. That's a good thing. The reason for only 4 stars is that recently they changed their happy hour so that only a couple of national light beers are available at a discount. I think this is a bad move. First, I'm in Hawaii, discount some (or all of the good local beers). Secondly. I don't like either beer so why are they trying to have me go elsewhere for happy hour.
