[UPDATE] A customer service representative from MVC reached out to me and apologized for the poor experience we had with them along. They were very kind and responsive in making reparations with us, ensuring us that in the future staff would be better trained. I wish all the best for this business (review updated from 1 to 3 stars for post experience customer service) I needed a local cleaning service for a move out clean of my home (6bed 3bath, a large apartment) and I found MVC through Yelp after digging through a plethora of Yelp reviews. Their stellar history of 5 star reviews, extremely responsive customer service, and quote led me to choose them for the job. After messaging through Yelp and a follow up call in which I detailed not only the square footage and basics of my home but also detailed out approximately how many windows, cabinets, drawers, and doors there were, I gave them my information and confirmed and appointment. Still only green flags for this cleaning service. This is where things start to go wrong. The arrival window for the team was 1 hour between 10-11am, no communication and no show until 11:30. I called the company at 11 asking where the cleaners were and only then was I informed they were "held up" at the previous place. Fine, whatever, as long as the job gets done. The team that arrived did not speak any English, to the point that all communication was being done through Google translate. The team was cleaning from 11:30-5 and my roommates and I were planning to come at 5 (since our initial quote was 5-6.5hrs starting at 10am) to do one last sweep of the place and toss any remaining items, when we arrived it looked as if not much progress had been made at all. The supervisor eventually called the team off around 6:30, and at that time only the kitchen/living room and 2.5 of the bathrooms were cleaned. I had been on and off the phone with the cleaning company 5 times THAT DAY, with them calling me at random intervals, interrupting my workday and meetings multiple times. In the end, it took management until 9pm to get back to me and attempt to resolve the unfinished cleaning, but only after I told them I refused to pay for an unfinished cleaning (we tipped the cleaners themselves before we left). Management eventually compromised and said they would send another team the next day and only charge us for the initial quote, and ended up finishing the job. This only after 8 calls, multiple headaches, and one too many raised voices on the phone. I would absolutely never use this service again, the clean itself was fine, but the nightmare of a journey it was working with this company was definitely not worth it. I selected MVC Cleaning from the yelp services. They came in and cleaned up my entire apartment. I had a two bedrooms / one bathroom apartment. I had two cleaners come in and clean up the entire place top to bottom. They never stopped working they worked their butt's off. The bathroom was a lot to clean and it looked better than when I moved in. These guys were professional, they were hard working and good people. I cannot say enough good things about MVC! My 82 year old parents had let their apartment get extremely run down (which is the understatement of the century). My dad just passed away and I was horrified by the state of their place. Everything was dirty, grime covered, smelly and in some cases urine soaked (from their cat). MVC scheduled a deep clean with almost no notice, came on time and cleaned every inch of the apartment! When they were done I was amazed by the transformation. Everything smelled delightful, the carpets were spotless and the surfaces looked brand new! To top it off they were so kind about how dirty everything was when they got there. They were friendly and patient with my mom (who has dementia) and never seemed even for a second to mind the fact that they were cleaning some horrifically nasty areas. They only charged $500 for the 6 hours they were there cleaning and carpet cleaning. I was terrified to see the bill because I was afraid that it would be at least $1000. I would use their services again in a second, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs a deep cleaning on their place!:) PS: to the crew that cleaned the apartment, I am SO sorry that my mom was mean to you and kicked you out when you asked for the check. I had let her know in advance that I would pay using the card on file with the company, and her dementia is so bad that all she could remember was that she didn't have to pay. I dealt with Suzie to set up cleaning of my son's small house in Oakland. I explained that it was around 900 sq ft with 3 small bedrooms and 3 small bathrooms. I was sent an email stating undder QUOTE: Deep cleaning 10-12 hrs for a 2 people team, on the second para was the estimate for 4 hours minimum of $160 which I opted for. I was completely surprised to see that there was hair in the bathroom, footprints in the tub and crud in the corners after this very small and empty studio apartment was "cleaned" prior to a new move in. I scheduled MVC Cleaning for a deep clean after being away for a few weeks and having some drywall repairs. I picked them over the other quotes due to how quickly they responded and because I wanted to support a female owned company. Trish and her team were super responsive on yelp, flexible about scheduling, and kindly found me a time for a last minute booking when my schedule opened up. The team was very pleasant and friendly and did a great job cleaning the bathrooms, hardwood floors, and rooms. I appreciated that they also cleaned the window sills. I had some minor concerns about dust falling from the loft's first floor to the second & saw that they didn't clean the dust off our bookshelves. Since the cleaning team only spoke Spanish, we weren't able to talk to them about specifics - like not wearing their outside shoes on our carpet. I felt like giving 4 stars for this reason, but it's possible that we are just really particular about cleaning :) Still, they did a great job and were extremely pleasant. I was referred to Awesome Office Cleaners by a neighbor, who I saw receiving a disinfectant cleaning. I had never had any issues with our previous cleaning company, but after having Awesome Office Cleaners clean and disinfect our home, it's clear that things with our old company could be sooo much better. I called MVC to do a move out cleaning for my rental property. The response was very quick and when they called me back to follow up they were very clear about the service they will provide and the price for it. The price was very reasonable too. I was not in the town and the kitchen and the bathrooms were not in a good condition. Since I was not in the property I asked,Trish,one of the customer service members, to send me before and after cleaning pictures. She was so helpful and communicating with me through emails and sending pictures. And when I said I am not happy with one of the bathrooms,the cleaning team did go back to the property and cleaned the whole bathroom one more time without any charge. Great cleaners, would highly recommend. We needed our apartment to look in great condition as we were moving to get our deposit back. 3 cleaners came and spent 3 hours cleaning, did a great job given the time constraint, I'm very impressed - its a world of difference before and after. I used them for carpet cleaning too, and great job there as well, got a lot of the stains out and carpet was clean. Overall happy with the service and with the price, would highly recommend! read more
