Where do I begin? I am currently deployed to Afghanistan, and after a rough time of it here, I decided to go ahead and look for my dream car. I searched and searched, and spent at least $300 dollars on mechanics who would only end up telling me that my picks were not up to the level I expected. My father recommended that I search for a broker, someone who could do the dirty work for me. After a serious internet search (when I actually had internet here) I found Dave and saw how highly rated he was. So I contacted him, and he was honest in telling me that he had people in front of me, and that I might have to wait a little while (5-10 days). I am so glad that I made the decision to be patient! Within 3 days of searching, Dave found me the PERFECT car, and I do mean perfect! But the story doesn't end there... Dave picked up the car himself, handled all of the paperwork, and never made me feel nervous about the money I wired to him. (which is a big deal, trust me) He has been in constant contact with me, ann he even took over 60 photos and sent them to me so I could see every aspect of my new ride! I mean, who does that?! To top it off, I don't get back state-side for another month and a half, yet Dave is happily storing my car, covered and protected until I return. I literally couldn't be any happier, and am so grateful that I trusted Dave to take care of my car buying needs. Now I have an amazing '65 Mustang GT to come home to (and Dave has even offered to pick me up at the airport). I do want to address something I see regularly in other comments; Yes, Dave is a "gruff" individual. Maybe it's the Marine in me, but I don't think he is in any way a "rough" person or "hard to deal with". He is an expert in his field, and his customer service is amazing. Second, once I clarified exactly what I was interested in purchasing, he found excellent options within a couple of days. I'm convinced he saved me literally 2-3x his brokerage fee by letting him negogiate the deal. Dave sent us a picture of the car we wanted. We were getting ready to pack the kids in our suv and head over for a test drive because it had everything we wanted: Honda Accord, low miles, good price, clean car fax (or so he said). But wait! Right before we left we called him and asked him to fax us the Car Fax. All of a sudden, he says, "There's an accident on the car fax record". He said that he didn't notice it before. So we said never mind. He sent over a couple of other cars that were in our ball park but we were not ready. So I told my father in law to try him out since he was looking for a truck. I warned him that Dave 'The Car Guy' didn't have the best 'bedside manner'. He is a little edgy or has a chip on his shoulder or something. You'll see when you talk with him. So my father in law was feeling pretty good about a truck Dave sent him, but then pulled out at the last minute. Dave took it personal and called him a FU**ING Fraud, and yelled at him. My father in law is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He did not deserve that in any way. Although Dave called him the next day to apologize the deed was done. Damage done to all of us. I should not have sent my father in law over to him after our experience but I thought maybe he had a bad day with us and wanted to give him a second chance.
