My beautiful colleague, Meredith, ordered a salmon Benedict, and both of our breakfasts were perfectly executed and really amazing and delicious. The Lavazza coffee was very tasty and I love that they served it in a little insulated carafe for refills. Our server was new to the restaurant and was a delightful young man named Gabriel. The fantastic French Toast Doughnut was topped with a yummy maple glaze, maple syrup & cinnamon powered sugar. The Maple Pecan was topped with a maple glaze, syrup drizzle & crunchy pecans. The Cookies & Cream was covered in chocolate syrup, crushed cookie crumbs & whipped cream. The Bourbon Caramel had a bourbon glaze & the Colorado Crunch had cinnamon toast cereal on top of a glaze. Last but not least & my favorite was the Blueberry Cheesecake. This doughnut was topped with a spread of blueberry cheesecake, whipped cream, a fresh blueberry & graham cracker crumbs. A good portion of the two flavors was sticking out a lot higher than the cup like a mini mountain. "This is an overkill! Ice cream galore or what??" I politely thanked the young lady and off I went walking back towards my car as I slowly ate it away. As if to say that the two flavors were complimenting each other for being so delicious, the duo entertained my sweet-depleted palate. This was much needed sweet sensation and sugar rush for sure. The interior of the shop matches the image of donuts and ice cream. Mostly pink but I guess I shall call it "pastel". I completely understand that businesses have closing hours, and I respect that employees want to finish their shifts on time. However, asking a customer to leave just moments after handing them their food and without any prior warning created a very uncomfortable and inhospitable experience. A little communication or a few minutes of grace while my husband finished in the restroom would have made all the difference.
