This company (My Repairman) must be in cahoots with American Home shield. They diagnosed the issue and then told AHS that they were unable to do the repairs (!?!). I have tried repeatedly to get them to at least submit a repair estimate so that we can do cash in lieu of repair. They rarely answer their phone and when they do, they don't do what they say they're going to do. I've left messages and none of them are ever returned! It's been three months that I've been dealing with this. This company (of 2 people apparently) is very unprofessional and frankly just lazy. **If they finally come through with what they are supposed to do, I will update my review. We own a two year old Whirlpool refrigerator that has an ice maker from hell. The factory guys hit a dead end and walked away saying they didn't know how to fix it. We had a recommendation from a friend about these guys and called them. It did talk several visits to figure it out, but figure it out they did! I hate calling a repairman because I always feel like I'm going to be taken to the bank and not sure that my problem will be resolved. It didn't happen with My Repairman. It's a family business and I love that. I called for my washing machine because I didn't feel like fixing it my self. I should have just looked because it was an easy fix. They found it, ordered the part and came back promptly to fix it. They even gave me a temp solution and talked with me about what might also be needed but, did not try to hard sell anything. As a matter of fact I would say they didn't want me to spend more than necessary and they did not create problems to fix either. We had our fridge give out 3 days before Thanksgiving. I called and they agreed to work us in for repair on the same day. Alex, the first technician diagnosed the problem but did not have the right part but he was able to find a technician who did have it so they came out a few hours later and fixed it. I only gave this company 2 stars only because while their repair man was friendly and timely, their customer service was absolutely terrible. I was assigned this company by a home warranty service and once assigned, it took them nearly a week to even get in touch with me to set up an appointment, once they did call, they were not friendly about it really but whatever and I was told I needed to be available all day, no narrower window given since I had three issues on the ticket. My dishwasher was not cycling through a full wash for awhile and no remedy worked. The service guy said that he could see the error codes it displayed and that he had a suspicion that the control board was at fault. Since the dishwasher wasn't acting up that minute he finished up and promised to see if there is a recall and that also he wants to replace the control board in any case, as he believed that to be the problem. No worries I said, just call me and we'll set up and appointment to fix it. Some three weeks later the dishwasher started acting up again and I call the company to ask about the status and was told rather snottily that the tech closed the case because "the dishwasher did not malfunction when he was at the house". So I was trying to bring the point across to the snotty woman that no, the tech clearly saw and acknowledged this issue at hand and why would he simply close the case without resolve? I was then told that I was going to have to reopen the case with the warrenty company if I wanted to get this fixed. So I tried to explain that he DID know what the problem was and diagnosed it and he DID promise that it will be fixed. Surely, another appointment would not result in any other outcome unless the dishwasher malfunctioned halfway through its cycle?? She was so very aggravating and gave no understanding and no apology. I know after thinking about it that they probably closed the case to get paid fast because there was a dryer on that ticket and a double oven as well. What really ticked me off was that she not only treated ME like this was my fault, but no, SHE CUT ME OFF AND THEN SIMPLY HUNG UP ON ME!!!! Unbelievably bad customer service skills, I would never, ever choose this company for that reason alone. I then called back to point out that hanging up on a customer is never ok. I do want to mention that while I was very direct, I was not rude at all, no name calling, I was respectful and while I disagreed vocally with the woman on the line, she did not like being contradicted and obviously had no answer or recourse but hang up the phone like a kindergartner. I had no choice but to reopen the case and sadly got assigned the same company. At this point whatever, fix the dishwasher and get out of my life, I never did anthing to warrant this childish behavior from these "Customer Service Professionals" and since the tech seemed ok I hope that it will get done but also that I will not need to talk to these people in their office. But after that you can bet your last dollar that I will tell the warranty company about my experience and ask them not to assign this vendor to me any longer because they treat customers like negligible dirt. Tech Alex is VERY rude and unprofessional. He diagnosed my fridge and I asked for a copy and he refused to give it to me. I paid a $75 service fee and could not get a receipt or diagnosis? I persisted and asked for it and they he told me to "find another company" and walked out of my house. At no time was I rude or aggressive. Shady and unprofessional company!!!!! I am so grateful for My Repairman! I've been battling a broken fridge through my home warranty for 9 months, another repair company refused to say my fridge needed to be replaced. My Repairman came for a second opinion and before he even left my property my home warranty agreed to replace my fridge. Within an hour my home warranty and I were discussing the replacement! I'm so thankful that their tech was knowledgeable and knew that my fridge was a lemon based off his knowledge of the exact model & a lawsuit that the manufacturer had against it for the same issue, and not to drag me through the repair process as the other company had. I had Mr. Estrada to my home to fix my washing machine on April 17, 2018. It had suddenly stopped working. He said it was a problem with the water intake valve and quoted $166 to replace it. He would have had to come back the next day to do the work, since he didn't have a new valve with him. I looked on youtube to see if I could replace the valve on my own for less, and decided I could, so mailed his firm a check for $55 for the diagnosis--promptly--which they had said would be applied to the repair cost. In fact, the valve only needed to be cleaned out, which I did with a Q-tip, since, due to a big surge caused by installation of my sprinkler system a couple weeks earlier, a lot of sand had been flushed into the line. After I cleaned the valve, the machine filled with water, but then would not advance to agitate. I called Estrada back in order to get the complete repair done, and, although his wife scheduled it, no one showed up and they never responded to another email. I had to contact another company, which charged me $99 to discover, first, that I had not reconnected the lid switch; and second, when once again it would not fill, that even more sand had come into the line since I'd cleaned the valve the first time, so it just needed to be unclogged again--with a Q-tip--and water run through the line to flush it. So I've paid $154 just to have the line flushed out and the valve cleaned out twice with a Q-tip, something Estrada could have--and should have--discovered during his first $55 visit, or at least should have followed up on by coming back, as his company represents it will. read more

No problem called Sears and was given the name of George Estrada and his number. Called and was told we cancelled abd left a message, no the message indicated a different time. I am in San Antonio, don't know why it says San Francisco, CA. Regardless, I would not recommend this Texas business to anyone. I am a single woman, I was requesting ID from two very large men at my door. They were both very brusque- stating they already sent their info via text (I didn't receive it) and later I was told I should have seen the logo on the shirt and truck to confirm their identity (which was not visible from the window). I called to talk with the office, they insisted I HAD received the texts and my attempt to state I had not (with my phone as proof)- the receptionist insisted I was wrong and they couldn't help me - to find someone else for the repair. Complete lack of interest in customer service, complete lack of professionalism, and no concern for safety or support of the client was evident. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I left this review on google too because people need to know what they're facing with this company. If I could give a company negative stars, it would be this one. My husband and I moved from another state and while unpacking, I ran a load of glasses in the dishwasher. It proceeded to flood the kitchen with soapy water. I submitted a work order with the home warranty company and got an email saying My Repairman would be the service company. It was a Sunday so I figured I'd get a call on Monday but didn't. I called Tuesday morning and left a message. They didn't call back until Wednesday and said they could come Thursday between 11 and 4. That was my first day at my new job, so my husband took a day of leave to be there. I was in a meeting until 11:15, then checked my phone and missed a call at 11 saying they called to verify someone was home so they'd reschedule. I called the service rep and the company back multiple times and no one answered or returned my call. It was at the beginning of the insane service block! They called back Friday and rescheduled for Tuesday. Mind you, we still have standing water in the dishwasher. So I take a whole day of personal leave and the service rep says it needs a new motor that he'll need to order. At least he drained the dishwater. They schedule the next appointment for another week and I had to take another day of leave from work only for the service rep to say he still needed a valve he didn't have. We wait almost a week and hear nothing. I called and the lady said the ticket had been closed and I'd have to open a new ticket. No mention of the valve in the notes when the service rep closed it out. So I opened another ticket when I finally got a chance and sent a lengthy email to them about not wasting our time or their time with another diagnostic visit, but got no answer. They called 4 days later to say they had the valve and scheduled the appointment for the following Monday. I begged to have the first appointment time since this was the 4th day of personal leave my husband or I would be using and I'd really rather not have to use a whole day. The lady said the best she could do was the first appointment block from 9-1. Seriously? Why even make that a block at all since it still wastes a whole day? Mr. David came this Friday morning to check why my Kenmore freezer was thawing. He asked me to unplug the freezer, wait for 2 minutes, and then plug it again to see whether the fan was running. It was running! Then he did not check the coil to see if was frozen or dirty. He didn't do any additional tests. He only suggested the issue may be the sensor (a panel on the door of the freezer that regulates the temperature) which would cost $250 (part) plus $125 labor plus taxes. Because my freezer is more than 10 years old he suggested may be time to buy a new one. He spent perhaps 15 minutes here. No testing, no anything. Just unplugging a cord. I paid him $65 and he said he would call next day to see if the food was freezing again. Well it is not and more than 7 hours have passed. I have never seen anything like that before. Any repairman that has ever come to check any appliance in my house did tests to find the possible problem and fix it. I feel like an idiot. read more

Final bill seemed a bit steep assuming they did apply the initial $55 charge to send a tech out toward the final bill as promised but the repair was solid and I haven't had any repeat issues. read more

I was so excited to get someone who could come out same day when my refrigerator went out. The problem was diagnosed and a part needed, so the technician (apparently, also the owner) did a bypass to get me through until the part came in. 4 days later (today) he came to install the new part. As he was getting ready to leave, I realized that the fridge was pulled out about 4" farther than it had been and asked him to move it back where it was. When he did, I noticed a tear in the vinyl flooring. He insisted it was already there and that he did not do it. It absolutely was NOT, and he obviously tried to cover it up by leaving the fridge pulled out so far. I didn't even ask him to fix or replace the damaged area but he chose to be dishonest by trying to cover it up, then lying about it. Steer clear. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL!!! NO FOLLOW THROUGH ON THE BEHALF OF THE CUSTOMER. COMPLETE AMATEURS! These "repair men" were contracted out by my insurance company. The first trip to the house was normal. The man looks at the appliances, says they will contact me to set up an appointment, with the necessary parts in hand. Hands me paper work as i pay him for the visit. After a month without functioning appliances, not returning my calls, ME! the "CUSTOMER", or my insurance company's calls; they(THIS COMPANY, my repairman) finally realize they only ordered half of the parts needed!!! You know FOLLOWING UP WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS, REVIEWING THEIR ACCOUNT, AND SPEAKING TO THEM ABOUT THE STATUS OF THEIR REPAIR, WILL HELP YOU STAY ON TOP OF THINGS AND RESULT IN SATISFIED CLIENTS!!! SOOOO!!! 40DAYS!! AFTER the FIRST call was placed, for service repairs, 38 days after the first guy came out, they show up to COMPLETE the repair. So, they come in to my home, to start their repair, I go back to what I was doing, 40?min later my son runs in to tell me "their putting their tools and stuff up. I think they are about to leave Mom!" I ask him to tell them that I'll be right there! Give me one second I'm in the middle of putting UV protection on my window(nightmare FYI! Lol). I hear them tell him "Oh, okay" Not more than 2min later I'm walking into the kitchen and they are gone!!! GONE!!! I look up at the front door and the guys SNEAKING OUT!!! I stop him and apologize for the delay, give him a brief explanation, expecting him to chime in about the repairs. He acts like he just wants to close the door! I ask if he wanted to tell me what exactly was done to repair my appliances. He gives me this, "Umm, well we did the repair to the refrigerator and the dishwasher as was issued in the order". I gave him the old, "okay, great! Is there anything that I need to sign? Any paperwork for me?" His response, "No. Nothing." So, I tell him that was odd, but thanked him for coming out. TEN MINUTES LATER, I'm so excited to be done with this "company", these appliance issues, and enjoy my kitchen again, and THEY DIDN'T FINISH THE FREAKING JOB!!! WHAT?!!! Thats right folks! And while i trusted these men to do a good job on my repairs, I went to complete my own day to day tasks, leaving my teenage kids to "supervise", and they tell me that they watched the repair guy slamming the drawer to the dishwasher in and out, over and over, and over again!! Thats what I was hearing!! I also discovered that they failed to reinstall my dishwasher to the cabinets. You know, THE WAY THEY FOUND IT! THEY LEFT IT PUSHED IN TO FAR ON ONE SIDE AND HANGING OUT ON THE OTHER. What REALLY INFURIATED ME was the fact that they left SCREWS ALL OVER THE FLOOR, TUCKED NICE AND NEAT UNDER THE UNIT. I HAVE TWO TODDLERS!! WHAT IF THEY HAD FOUND THEM BEFORE I DID?!!! THEY WOULD BE GETTING MORE THAN A BAD REVIEW ON YELP. NOW......I have to wait for these ___________________(insert whatever term for incompetence you would like) to come back!!! TWILIGHT ZONE!!! PLEASE WAKE ME UP!!! PS IN MY OPINION THEY DON'T DESERVE HALF OF A STAR!!! UPDATE: My insurance company contacted "my repairman" about the inadequate job and scheduling a return visit in the morning. BUT!!! I am all for small businesses but this company is ridiculous! The owner is rude, ignorate and doesn't care about his customers. We were having issues with our dishwasher and they came out (via American home Shield ) and the repairmen they had come out didn't know what they were doing. The previous visit said our heater was out in the washer. They replaced it, pulled out washer out and then left. All the old parts were left on the floor for us to deal with, screws are now loose and our washer wasn't reinstalled properly. It still doesn't work! We called George, the owner of this cruddy company, and he was cruel. He basically puts people who go through American Home Shield second in his lines. He fought us saying that we should go to the Better Business Bureau and get a lawyer. When a man basically says "do it" he obviously doesn't care. I have never had such a jerk owner talk to us. He is unprofessional, cold and needs to be put out of business for his cruelness. He doesn't care if your stuff is fixed because you'll just call ahain and he'll get more money. When I called this company to set up an appointment for a refrigerator repair, I wasn't expecting to get an appointment that day. The lady said that she could get someone out to diagnose the fridge later that day between 10:00 and 2:00. The tech called me at 10:15 to let me know he was on the way, and arrived at 10:30. He diagnosed a bad defrost module within 10 minutes, and promptly gave me a quote to fix it with parts he had on his truck. 20 minutes later the fridge was back in working order. I have used My Repairman company for several years on all of my appliances. They are quick, professional, and very nice to deal with. Their prices are very reasonable and the service man, usually Alex, always gives me hints on how to maintain my appliances. They are much, much better than dealing with an appliance dealer.Recently I had a problem with my dryer overheating and after taking the dryer apart and testing it several times, he found nothing wrong. Ever persistent he went outside to check the vent and found an animal had made a nest in the vent pipe. He cleaned it all out and put it back in order. I've used MyRepairman several times and they always exceed my expectations. On their most recent visit, they came to fix our refrigerator. It wasn't cooling properly, so we called MyRepaiman to make an appointment. We realize they have multiple customers that call them everyday and did not expect a next day appointment, however, they were able to squeeze us in for the following day. The lady I spoke with was so kind and understood all our concerns. She gave me a timeframe when our technician would arrive and also told me she'd call me when they were on the way (which she did). In addition, the technician also called me with his ETA. Their customer service is the best out there! He quickly knew what the problem was and fixed our fridge that same day! It's been working great ever since. They go above and beyond, and I will continue to recommend them to all my friends, family, and neighbors. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. When the repairman called ahead to let me know he was on his way or at my house (not sure which); he seemed irritated when I said that I needed the lead time phone call the Home Warranty service said I would receive. After we negotiated the lead time; the repairmen FAILED to wait for my arrival. Not sure how long he stayed but at a minimum I should have received a call to say he was leaving instead of arriving home to a business card vs a repairman. I took 37 minutes to get home due to traffic vs the 35min and while not happy about their decision to leave; a courtesy call would have given me other options than to rush home if they were not going to be there. Never again, I have cancelled my request with the My Repairman company and will not do business with them. I am a single person new to the city and an aging home. I would have thrown a lot of business their way in the upcoming years but it is obvious to me that customer service and common courtesy are not a priority for them. read more
