We had some LARGE rodents in our garage that we couldn't get rid of. We had an idea of where they might be coming from, but I didn't really know what the best way to handle the situation was. I called multiple businesses for some estimates before making a decision. Another business mentioned cleaning out the entire garage to get the best proofing done. Makes sense, but this just wasn't possible for us. I ultimately went with Eric and his team for fair pricing, responsive communication, honesty, and flexibility. Once we got a date set up, I met with Tony to show him the spots Eric and I discussed during our walk-through. Tony went straight to work with proofing and laid out some traps. Alan came by a week later to check in on the traps and any signs of activity. Since the proofing, we've caught one of the rats and haven't seen new droppings. The entire team that worked on our property was COVID conscious, has been communicative, and punctual. The pricing was fair and all three of the guys were super nice! 100% would reach out to them again if I have any other issues! One thing to note that I really appreciated: the team is dedicated to their line of work but they also care about humanely controlling the rodent issue. I called "My Rodent Guy" a couple of days ago and they were able to schedule someone to come out to my place within a day to do an inspection. Fast response! We had another company/person look at our place over a year ago, and they did quite a bit of work on sealing up our place but didn't solve the problem. I even had them do a re-inspection a couple of times. Tony came out and did an inspection. From talking to him, and watching him do his work, I could already tell he was very knowledgeable in his line of work. What I appreciated the most was his honesty. After he was done, he said the other guy did a pretty good job but missed a couple of areas that he pointed out to me, which were pretty easy fixes to do myself - he told me he couldn't charge me for such easy fixes. I've had my experiences with many people out there would just write you up a statement for hundreds of dollars to do a simple thing and/or do some additional meaningless work to make it seem like it's hundreds of dollars worth of work *smh*. I actively had a raccoon under my house when I began my search, Eric was very friendly, professional and responded quickly. Catch dem darn Rats! And Eric sure did! First he identified every entry and exit point on the building. Then, he sealed those with a combination of sheet metal, wire mesh, even concrete that he mixed and placed by hand to plug openings at the corners of a garage door jamb where rats had gnawed an opening in and out of the building. Next, he placed powerful traps strategically throughout the building. Now the rats could not get in our out, and without any food source, they were forced to dine on his offerings that triggered his traps. It sounds easy, but it isn't. Rats are very cunning, and they can set off traps without getting taken by the trap. Eric understands this, and he's patient ... resets the trap, and SNAP, he gets them by the time he comes out for the next visit. Very accommodating, we worked on getting our busy schedules to finally merge. Eric is prompt, and he shows up for his commitments. We found a mouse running around our condo, seemingly hiding behind the oven, and getting into one of the floor level cabinets and eating our food. I managed to trap and remove it, but wasn't sure what else to do, or if there were more hiding somewhere. Eric and a member of his staff took care of everything. They pulled out the oven, found a (fortunately empty) nest, cleared everything out and disinfected the area, and closed up a nearby hole in the wall with wire mesh. Eric is a rare gem, a really honest person. I'd had the house proofed--for raccoons--a few years ago, and have always been very careful to keep an eye on vents and crevices where rodents could get in to the house. This is the first incident where we've encountered a rodent in our house and it was a pretty stressful and terrifying experience. My review stands that I spent a lot of money, continued to have a problem, and it was not addressed by this vendor. This vendor could not find the entry point of the rats and did not follow up despite my continued concerns. So...we knew we had a rat in our garage. We set our own traps, but couldn't find where it was coming in or out from. We called My Rodent Guy and Eric came out within 2 days (we know that rodents are an issue for many people right now). He did a full inspection of our garage to look for any possible entry points, including floors, walls, ceilings and other nooks and crannys. He used a flashlight, got on his hands and knees, climbed up on a stepstool and opened doors and cabinets. We had discovered some rodent problems and tried to deal it by ourselves with traps and bait for a couple weeks. This was to no avail. After dealing with over 2 years of having raccoons nesting in our backyard under our deck and this year finding a way under our house, Eric & his team were able to identify how they were gaining access to both the deck & under the house in under 15 minutes. I want to share my experience with Eric. We had an animal that got inside a wall from the attic and made sounds for a couple of days. Then the sounds stopped, either the animal died, or it managed to wind the way out. We called Eric to inspect the house. He quickly came for the inspection. After we explained him the problem, he asked if we had a ladder. We didn't have it, so he just walked around the house and looked in the garage. His conclusion was that we need to seal the roof jacks, garage door and set a trap in the attic. All this would cost only $975. I have had raccoons activity in the attic for a while in the winter time and hired an irresponsible company to take care of them.. they did do the sealing of accessible vents but the material was cheap and crappy so the guess what? So when we began seeing evidence of rodents in the garage we were pretty grossed out but not totally surprised. We called a number of services but Eric at "My Rodent Guy" was prompt, gave clear explanation of how the varmints were getting in, what things in the basement were appealing to them, and discovered their nest in a narrow crevasse between our building and the next. They set traps to lock the rats out of their nest by putting up flashing and thick wire mesh over the front and back opening to the hole, and also put up new vents in the basement storage areas as well as layed traps.
