I woke up this morning and had such a taste for Mexican food. Unfortunately for me there really aren't any great Mexican restaurants. I'm talking about authentic Mexican food, not Americanized Mexican food. Well, oh my gosh I think I found my new Mexican restaurant. This place is fantastic! The owner and workers are pleasant and professional. My wife and I had 4 different tacos and a tamale. All were absolutely delicious! First off, the decor is plain and simple. The food is tasty and terrific. If you dine in, you get free chips and really good salsa. In two visits here, we have tried steak, al pastor and carnitas tacos. All were delicious. The portion sizes are generous with very reasonable prices. We also had the pork tamales which were moist and not all masa like a lot of other places. The employees are very friendly and helpful. It now our go to Mexican place. Excellent Food! My wife and I LOVE Mexican food and this is our new favorite place. We had struggled to find a place in the Frankfort area that we LOVED....well this is that place. I think their steak (taco/burrito/everything) is awesome. My wife loves their chicken (taco/burrito/everything). Guacamole is fantastic the salsa is amazing. I usually place my order in the store for carryout and it has always been ready in around 5 minutes. . Everything here is made fresh and the way you like it! The people who work here are very nice and it is clear that they value the quality of their food and the experience of their customers! If you used to like Buenas Nachos but have been let down recently. I highly suggest taking your business to My Taco! read more

I'm a little surprised to see all the positive reviews about My Taco. Its good because there seems to be a whole lack of love for the mexican places in the area. Now i am not saying that My Taco is horrible, by any means, but after reading Yelp i expected better. Maybe it was the build up. I had one single enchilada and a burrito dinner. The burrito didnt have enough meat to satisfy me. Alot of lettuce and other. The meat tasted at first like ground beef not steak meat. The enchilada was a bit too doused in sauce. I do admit that the meal did get better the more i ate. i drove alot further from my work to specifically try this place based on Yelp reviews so that might have played a role in my feelings. be aware before ypu use ur debit card here! the workers stole my debit card information and paid themselfs 300$ on facebook as well as place 9 long distance calls off my debit card. the food is good but after going there 3 years and spending a lot of money this is very sad that a resturant that does so well wpuld steal 300. will never return until the thief is in jail and owner apalogizes which he only says this is a misunderstanding. ha? its theft and a felony. read more

The food is awesome and unlike another local taco place they never mess up our crazy orders. I do have one problem though and it's the fact that they never wear gloves when touching the food. I came in early to get our order and the guy behind the counter was handling our food with his bare hands which made me cringe because of how unsanitary it is. On a positive note - we never got sick because of that - so they must be washing their hands! I don't think we will be back though. read more

We finally we able to try this place last night and my family now has a new favorite. Great food on all five orders we placed. I had a chicken burrito which was great-size was perfect and great ingredients (hot sauce was on point). I also sampled from family members the taco salad-also very good (could use a few more tomatoes), the nachos (outstanding guac) and the quesadillas -also very tasty. The restaurant also feels like a city Mexican place-not too big but with some nice vibrant touches. Overall, great experience and we will certainly be heading back. read more

My favorite food is Mexican. I saw they just opened up down the street from my house and gave it a try. The owner is so friendly and a hard ass worker. He is always up for talking and being extremely kind. I'm very big into salsa. It could be my last meal on earth- that's how much I love salsa. He makes his homemade and it's to die for!!!! Had to write a review was told by my buddy about this place My Taco that it was good.So I was in the area and gave it a try. First off let me tell you we went on Saturday it was 108deg heat index out side we wanted to get off the road sit down in an air condition restaurant and enjoy a meal but no it was hot and stuffy in the restaurant owner needs to lower that air down and not be cheap.the poor cook looked like he was dying from the heat behind the counter ,bathroom smelled I think from heat in the restaurant. My wife and I couldn't enjoy our food to uncomfortable to sit and eat made it hard to sit and eat to even enjoy the food . I will have to tell my buddy I don't think I will be back three things will keep customers coming back #1.Good food #2.Clean comfortably restuarant and bathrooms#3.friendly customer service. They have very friendly ladys working the counter but due to the uncomfortable conditions to enjoy our food I can't really tell you how good the food is because we ended up leaving and I had to eat it cold when I got home and corn tortilla tacos suck warming up. read more

Been here a handful of times. Staff is always very friendly and the place is clean. It's a small Mom and pop shop with very good inexpensive food. The steak is always tender with a great flavor and the al pastor tacos are excellent. If they put just a little more meat in the burrito I would rate at 5 stars.
