We visited My Thai in Ripon in January 2025. This is our go to Thai restaurant in the area. This visit was particularly enjoyable. Our waitress was extremely friendly and made several suggestions to us. She also gave input on the selections and made she she went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. 10/10 service. I ordered the Fish Curry and Crab Fried Rice. Wife ordered the Pad Thai and Thai Iced Tea. Overall, I would say that the Fish curry was good but I missed the Red Curry or Panang Curry that I normally get. The Crab Fried Rice came with epic proportions. I would say it was good but lacked a little in the flavor department. It was a great experience. The ambiance is nice and usually pretty quiet and enjoyable. Expect a nice environment with light music and comfortable seating. A great date spot for sure! Overall 5/5 consistently here. You won't regret your visit!

My friend had gone here before and told me about it. We stopped in on a Saturday night and it was hoppin'. I'm glad there was a spot for us. I liked all of the decor and the boldly painted walls. A lot of gold accompanied the decor which made it pop. We were in the mood for some soup and couldn't decide. Our waitress played a clever little 'pick a number' game to assist us with our decision. And it was #27 the big bowl of chicken noodle soup basically. It came with 4 different sauces for us to try. I think I stuck with the garlic chili oil. There was plenty to share between the 2 of us and we still had leftovers. What topped off the whole experience was the staff. Fun little conversations. That' snd the food is what makes a place memorable.

We placed a big order last night to feed 10 people. The food was so delicious specially the curries and sauté eggplant tofu. Their customer service was excellent as we had ordered most vegetarian dishes but they accidentally had chicken in fried rice but best part they were able to swap it to vegetarian rice.

Pretty good food at average pricing. Worth it! Service was a little off, but it seemed the girl just started there. Loved the ambience. You can see it my images.

Another food adventure landed me in Ripon, Ca because I wanted some pho. What better place than My Thai Cuisine. I ordered the chicken pho, yellow curry, and some fried rice(see pictures for the name). Now I never had yellow curry before but that **** was good. The chicken pho was missing something. Tasted plain and I know it needs the herbs and oils but still. The pho at My Thai Cuisine was missing something. The Fried Rice was satisfying as well. My Thai Cuisine is nice a place. Go check it out.

Went here with my family to celebrate my 20++++ anniversary. Went in with an 8 people and got seated immediately. We had time to look at the menu. Water was given to us without having to ask. About 5 minutes,. the woman and the man just don't have this cheerful face seems like they hate their job! I had to wave them down. I go here quite often and don't know if Cindy still works there, but she was so friendly!! Order: which was enough for everyone to try each dish Roti - must have for appetizer Mango salad- (not spicy) Pad Thai- Chicken yellow curry - Panang Curry - BBQ short ribs with sticky rice and green papaya salad - Crust fish with garlic sauce - Kra praw fried rice - a bit spicy Overall, food was deliciously good. Food is not too spicy which is good. If you do want it spicy, ask for chili on the side. Again, when we left no greet of bye or Thabks come again. Hopefully it's just their one bad day that they were having. A smile will bring customers back. Despite, I always like to go to this spot when I crave Thai food.

I finished my food. It's really good.

Best Thai Food I have ever had. I was hesitant to try it due to lack of reviews and distance. Now that we tried it. I just bookmarked it and put it on my favorites lists. Food - the food is great. Quality is perfectly cook and it's not preserved food like other restaurant. Quantity - portions are decent and can feed a group of six with no problem for several entree's. Price - you will come back for more visits for the price point they placed it. It's fair and sufficient. Customer service- top notch. Try this place and you will be glad.

I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. So far my multiple orders have been well worth the price and I expect the same experience in person! (just, you know, without the extra Doordash fee nonsense)

My wife and I stopped in after our jog along the Tidewater Biketrail, making this our lunch pit stop after starting at Lathrop Road. The Char Siu Pork Bánh Mì is an easy 5/5. The baguette was fresh, crispy on the outside, and soft and chewy inside. The char siu pork was tender, juicy, and perfectly caramelized around the edges. Crisp pickled carrots and daikon, plenty of cilantro, and fresh jalapeños brought everything together. It's a well-balanced sandwich with a portion that's just right. The Grilled Chicken Roll'd deserves more attention. The grilled chicken reminded me of a flavorful chicken satay, and the peanut sauce complemented every bite without overpowering the fresh ingredients. If you're looking for a lighter, protein-packed option, this is it. They also offered complimentary strawberry and passion fruit refreshers. They were a little sweeter than my preference, but the flavors were refreshing. Next time, I'd order one at 50% sweetness. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and a welcome escape from the Central Valley heat. Service has always been friendly, and it's the kind of place where both the staff and regulars make you feel welcome. There's also a Tracy location, but I find myself coming back to the Manteca restaurant. It's smaller, more intimate, and has a charm all its own. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Great food, great people, and a relaxed atmosphere. I always say, good food brings out the best in people. They were served with more of a hoisin-style sauce instead of the typical peanut sauce. A little different, but still had good flavor overall. My dad ordered the chicken sandwich, and it was much bigger than what you usually get at other places. He said it was really good and definitely filling. ($6.95) I ordered the mild beef stew pho. It wasn't quite what I'm used to--the meat wasn't the typical stew cut and had more fat and gristle, with only a few pieces of beef. It wasn't my favorite, but the broth itself had good flavor. It also came with rice noodles, carrots, and even a couple pieces of lettuce, which was a bit different. Looking around, other dishes coming out looked really good. I'd definitely come back to try one of their sandwiches next time. Service was quick approx 30 seats. The ambiance was casual and welcoming clean, relaxed, and a comfortable spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. Nothing fancy, but it had a nice local feel.

But as someone who has worked as a server and in operations for big restaurant groups, the entire place needs some retraining. Food: Overall we had 1 good dish - their pad-eggplant. Noodle dishes were clumpy. Rice = HORRIBLE. Dry and not fresh. Their salads were not great, and overall the quality does not equate to the price. Service: This place cannot handle a large table. Anything over 3 people is probably a stretch for them. We had a reservation for Mother's Day, and when we came in there were only 2 tables who were at the end of their meal already. They paid and left. Tables were coming in, but we were able to place our order prior to it getting busy. The restaurant is pretty full now, all the tables that come after us are eating or have eaten, and have paid and left. We had a few appetizers and nothing. I ask the servers why this is, and my answer is that they are processing other orders, processing to-go orders, and then the chef wants to make our dishes all at the same time. Our food never comes at the same time. There's anywhere from 10 mins in between each plate, meaning majority of the time we were eating 1-2 bites then just waiting. Stir fry dishes given without serving spoons or rice, tom yum soup given without bowls. Near the end of the meal, we are still sitting there waiting for the remaining dishes and nothing. We asked for the dishes - looks like they forgot. We just ask them to cancel it and then get us the check. One time I asked for the soup bowls, she said yes and left. Then went to help with delivery pickup and to seat people. Completely forgot until I asked her again. Another time I asked for some additional plates, the other server said she would get it and then left and completely forgot, I had to ask again. We asked for egg on the side since my niece is allergic and never got the egg. I had to ask for that and my other niece ended up eating the plain egg with rice because she was hungry. There was an issue between the front of house and back of house and until they can get that figured out, they should turn off their ordering system. If they are a sit down restaurant, they need to ensure they can prioritize the folks they are charging an automatic 20% service fee from. It sucked because we went to celebrate my mom and we all ended up leaving hungry and annoyed.

Food was so much better this time around than the last time I had been there. They really must've had a bad night when I had gone previously. Small restaurant in the of a little strip mall off of Main Street. They serve classic Chinese American food and unlike most places in the Bay Area that are family style dishes preferably on a Lazy Susan during dinner time. They offer rice plates, or combo plates for individuals, similar to lunch specials. I selected several dishes and asked the server which was the most popular amongst the dishes I chose, and she let me know the salt and pepper fish, which I got with chow mein. We also ordered shrimp & broccoli, and sweet-and-sour pork. Everything appeared made to order and looked very fresh. From grandma to the babes everyone was happy with their food. Mine was more on the plain Jane with just fried fish, luckily it came with sliced jalapeños to give it a kick. Next time I'll order a spicy eggplant dish. This is a good place to go to if you're with a group of picky eaters. Price is very reasonable, especially for dinner.

7/5 /25 Update 3/5 This has been a long time coming…read moreunfortunately. Ever since the previous owners sold the place the quality has dropped significantly. Consistency has been a major issue not only with food but with policy. When they first took over I'm sure there were some learning curves and maybe tweaks to the recipes. I wanted to give them a fair shot to get things right. Not sure if the old cooks stayed or if they got new ones? Did the new owners have the recipes changed? Did they change suppliers of ingredients, etc, I just don't know. What I can tell you though is that at least some of the dishes are different and are off from what I remember. The general Tao sauce I thought tasted different but necessarily bad. But combine that with a definite lack of crisp/crunch with the fried items and that's gonna be a problem for me. This time around, I only got the general tao beef because unlike my previous visit, they did not allow me to order the general tao beef in the combo plate as in upcharge (just last week or the week before it was allowed). I've been multiple times since the change in ownership. Partly because of the convenience of the location and partly because of the hope that whatever meal I eat at any given time will at least satisfy my fix for their type of Chinese American food. Unfortunately, the fried items I loved so much like orange chicken, sweet and sour pork and general tao beef alike are all severely lacking the crunch from the fry. As of late I've been getting the General Tao Beef to track consistency and it's been consistently under cooked in terms of the batter. The beef itself has been rubbery and to the point where I can't even break apart a piece and end up having to eat it whole lots of times. The other problem is that the pieces are large inconsistently cut (sometimes with, sometimes against the grain) strips making for a difficult chew. And because of the lack of crunch the fried battered outside just falls apart when you bite or try to cut it apart. The last two visits, but especially this one considering I ordered extra crunchy, were severely undercooked and soggy. it was to the point this time where I basically had to scrape off the majority of the batter and just eat the rubbery beef inside. It really does bring me pain to drastically drop the rating of a place that I once loved. I hope one day they can make the fixes so that I can continue to enjoy their food once again. I gave them a 3/5 but honestly, it probably should have been 2/5. I think the chicken with hot garlic sauce might be just good enough to keep it at 3/5 even though the last three times I ordered it. It was inconsistently hot (with cold spots) temperature wise.
