Starting this review before we get our food because the staff has been beyond friendly and amazing - Karlita was great! It is loud but it's full of conversation could faintly hear music but great Sunday morning family breakfast spot! Tortillas are home made instantly makes the tacos taste that much better! Weenie & Egg 5 of 5 great portion of weenie to egg! Papa and chorizo was good still haven't found my go to for papa and chorizo 3.8 out of 5. Pattie and egg was solid the egg kinda overtook the Pattie but solid none the less 4.5 out of 5! Got the bean and cheese since I feel like that's a San Antonio staple and it was good first time ever eating one felt light and easy 4 of 5!

Bean and cheese taco only $1.80

Wow!!! I've never had fideo loco this good! (Shh don't tell my mom!) I was so excited to check this place out and try their food I forgot to take any "before" pics or the cute decor, neon lights and murals inside! ‍ So this was the aftermath of me destroying a giant and well filled bowl of fideo loco! My hubs tried their beef fajita taco and the famous Karlita's Taco! He devoured too before I could snap a pic! Next time I'll take before pics haha! Regardless just know this place hits the spot when it comes to local gems and authentic Mexican food! You can't go wrong. I think every server, including our own checked on us over and over. So friendly! We can't wait to come here more!

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food in San Antonio, My Tia's Mexican Restaurant is a MUST. I came here after seeing their Super Mega Tacos all over my feed, and let me tell you--it lives up to the hype! The tacos are huge, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients. I also tried their huevos rancheros, and it was Mexican comfort food at its finest--perfectly cooked eggs, rich salsa, and delicious beans on the side. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're eating at your own tia's house. Whether you're craving a big, satisfying meal or just some amazing tacos, this spot will NOT disappoint. Location: 514 Pleasanton Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214 Must-try: Super Mega Tacos & Huevos Rancheros I'll definitely be back for more!!

Quick and efficient service however space and restroom accommodation are limited. So I don't suggest you dine in if you're claustrophobic. Food was good nothing really incredible but over all delicious

Wow! Wow! Wow! my mechanic is on the south side and we are always looking for new taco spots and my goodness and I'm glad we discovered My Tia's!!! These tacos were delicious, and I know that everyone in San Antonio says they have good tacos, but these were crazy good. Let's start with the service, when you walk in you feel like you are literally walking in to your tia's house. You are greeted immediately with joy and enthusiasm, seated and introduced to your server. There are lots of tables and it can feel a bit crowded so keep that in mind, you will have to be careful when you pull your seat out that you might hit the person behind you. As for the tacos, we have been here several times now and they are always consistent. The corn tortillas are really big compared to other corn tortillas that I've had. You can see in the picture that it is as long as the fork, most corn tortillas are very small And leave you hungry. The price point on these tacos are really good compared to the quality and size. They definitely do not give you small portions, these tortillas are filled to the brim. The fajita meat is tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The potato egg and cheese is also a nice change, it is actually not dry and doesn't choke you when you swallow. The potatoes are nice and soft and the eggs are buttery. If it wasn't so far from me, I would be here at least every other weekend getting tacos, they are that good! I will say that the parking can be a bit tricky depending on the day of the week, the parking lot is always packed. From the 1604/281 interchange it is about a 35 to 40 minute drive.

Came with a very large group and despite the smaller size of the restaurant, they were still able to accommodate us. The menudo was very VERY good. I was also able to try some of the beans and they were also really delicious. They also had a variety of salsas on the table which were varying spice levels, great for our bigger group. The staff was also extremely accommodating and our drinks were never empty. A special thank you for Juan Carlos and Helena and the rest of the My Tia crew (including the cooks), everything was amazing.

Great atmosphere and good food! Service is speedy and food comes out pretty quick. Servers are usually friendly, but I must admit not super attentive. There is a lady here with a bob hairstyle and her energy is amazing! I will surely be asking for her to be our server on my next visit. Their super tacos are humongous! Literally the size of a large plate. The asada taco has a good taste although it is on the borderline of being too salty. I would've given them a 5th star if they didn't charge for chips and didn't nickle and dime you for small things. Aside from that the food is good and the staff are great!

My son & I walked in dancing & I got a FREE tea! The whole staff was into it too, super busy but relaxed environment... the whole staff is so welcoming & attentive. I got the enchiladas a la mexicana con queso fresco (daily special) they were super fresh & on point, I got my son a bean & cheese taco which was very large & super fresh as well. The tortillas are freshly made it's obvious. I definitely want to come back to try more from the menu, I definitely recommend it!

    Barbacoa with avocado

Homemade Tortillas! *DANCE when walking in for free coffee or tea!!!I can't remember the last time I had any... The barbacoa was all meat. Not many places can pull off good barbacoa during the week- And fresh homemade tortillas! The beef fajitas- amazingly tender- fresh. Thank goodness I don't live nearby or I would come every day! Love IT. Staff was on top of it!

I ordered my go to plate, huevos ranchero. I opted for the plate with bacon. I was disappointed that the ranchero sauce lacked flavor. Also the potatoes looked double dipped to warm up. The beans were good. The highlight of the place were the homemade tortillas. I like mine with butter. I ordered butter then requested butter a second time and the waitress did not bring it. I had to ask a guy that cleans tables for butter. The place looks like a hot spot it was very busy. Service was lacking as the waitress never came to check in with us. I guess I was bigger she never brought my butter. Also this place has one restroom which is not enough for the size of the place. I had to get up twice to see if it was vacant. A hidden door to the back for the staff was also in the tiny hallway. I was battling going to the restroom with the people eating and the staff. Ugh, not a good setup for a food establishment. For the amount of customers the business needs to step up on training the waitstaff to provide better service so people want to come back to eat.

This time, Tandem was the venue of choice. I really liked the place. It was very laid back and comfortable with a bit of a dive bar atmosphere. The seating included sofa areas, small table, and larger tables. It was not brightly lit, and the music was nice. We went to the counter to place our orders. They had sandwiches already made in an icebox. When ordered, the guy put them in a waffle iron before serving. I had the Cubano, and let me tell you- it was the best one I have ever had. It was so crispy and delicious. My only comment is that it could have used a bit more mustard. I also had an iced Americano with Como La Flor syrup. That was a blend of lavender and blueberry and was house-made. It sounded awesome and delivered awesomeness in every sip. I will definitely be back. I have to try the waffle pressed peanut butter and jelly!

Nothing I Can't Handle Coffee (abbreviated to NICH Coffee, not to be confused with Niche Coffee, which recently closed) is next to a pottery class in a hip side of S Presa. The shop is small but cozy, with a smattering of outdoor seats to compensate for the scant seating inside (though no less cozy, I really enjoyed my cushy window seat). I ordered a pistachio lemon bar, a cortado, and asked for a recommendation for a second drink. Angela, who took my order, said the South-EE is their most popular beverage, so I opted for that, hot. The lemon bar was very sweet with a puckering tartness in the frosting, but it paired beautifully with my cortado. The cortado was a little foamy but the flavor was robust and comforting, like being hugged by a lumberjack. The South-EE (espresso, brown sugar, cinnamon) - it took everything in me to not immediately chug this down. It was the perfect temperature by the time I was ready to drink it, and it was overall a yummy treat. The two staff holding down the fort that day were incredibly nice. Good folks, great drinks. However, parking was difficult and not very convenient. The coffee was good and smooth, but nothing that really stood out. It was solid quality, just not something I'd go out of my way for. One thing that surprised me was the price. My latte was listed at $7, but with all the extra charges for add-ons it quickly became $9+, which felt a bit pricey even coming from Chicago where coffee can already be expensive. What really affected the rating for me was the service speed. It was probably the slowest coffee service I've experienced. I waited about 15 minutes for two lattes, and there was only one other person ahead of me. For a simple order, that felt like a long time. Overall, it's a nice café with a clean, spacious atmosphere and decent coffee, but the pricing and slow service make it somewhere I'd visit occasionally rather than regularly.
