However, we were also assured that before we received the vehicle, it would be cleaned, serviced, and have the catalytic converter replaced because it needed one. We trusted your dealership and moved forward with the purchase. Since then, this experience has been one issue after another. It took nearly five days after purchasing the vehicle before we even received the keys. We still do not have our permanent tags and are currently on our second set of 30-day tags. When the vehicle began making loud noises a few weeks ago, we contacted your dealership and were repeatedly assured that the catalytic converter had been replaced. Based on the issues we've experienced, I have serious concerns that it either was not replaced or was not properly repaired. After almost a week of trying to get help, we were finally told to bring the vehicle in this Thursday and that the catalytic converter could be replaced again under warranty, yet we would somehow still be expected to pay for the repairs and even pay for your team to simply inspect the vehicle. Unfortunately, the situation has now escalated beyond that point. While traveling approximately an hour away for my son's baseball game, the vehicle began making extremely loud noises, lost power going uphill, and completely stalled. We barely managed to roll it into a BP parking lot, where it now sits approximately 45 minutes from our home. The vehicle will not start at all. Based on the symptoms and circumstances, it appears the catalytic converter has completely failed and is clogged to the point that the vehicle is inoperable. This has caused an enormous inconvenience to my family and has left us stranded through no fault of our own. We purchased this vehicle in good faith and have been patient, understanding, and reasonable throughout this entire process. In return, we've been met with delays, unanswered concerns, additional expenses, and a vehicle that is now completely unusable less than two months after purchase. I would also like to add how no one spoke to me when I picked up my keys after waiting 3 days after signing papers. They were too busy eating to deal with me picking up the keys for the vehicle I just purchased. I wasn't able to confirm that they had completed the paperwork and I also was given no proof that the work had been done on the car.

I needed to get transmission fluid changed. They charged me for "labor" (getting the fluid changed)…read morewhen they didn't even CHANGE the fluid. They literally did NOTHING. They said they couldn't because they would "have to take the car apart." That would be fine if they didn't CHARGE ME FOR SOMETHING THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO. Don't ever go here. It's a joke. $106 lit on fire.

My On-Going Experience with Morgan McClure Chevrolet in Coeburn, Virginia…read more I first tried to make an appointment with Morgan McClure on February the 1st (because I know that if I just come in someone will ask "Do you have an appointment?"), but whomever I spoke with on the phone told me that they couldn't make me an appointment over the phone and that I just had to come in on Monday morning when they opened at 8, so I did just that. And sure enough, the first thing I was asked was: "Do you have an appointment?" What's worse, even though there were only two cars waiting to be serviced, I was informed that the soonest that they could see me would be Thursday. Since I had no other choice, save go somewhere else, I took the Thursday spot and returned on that day. After waiting a little under an hour, I was informed that my transmission needed to be replaced and that they would have to order me one and would let me know when it came in. After waiting over two weeks, I finally received a call on the 22nd that my transmission had arrived the day before and that they would get back to me on the 24th. I, of course, assumed that this meant that they would start working on my car on the 24th, which was Monday. However, come Monday morning, I received another call, this time informing me that they wouldn't start working on my car until the 26th, which was Wednesday. I wasn't happy about this, but there was nothing I could do but agree to bring it in Wednesday morning--which I did. I was told that the job would take a day-and-a-half and was given a ride back home. I waited all day Thursday to hear back from them--which I never did. Friday played out exactly the same--waited around all day and never heard back from them. When it got to be 5 o'clock I decided to call them for a progress report--all while hoping and praying that they had already finished changing my transmission. My prayers were not answered--they were not finished, and the mechanics had already gone home for the day. As of writing this, it is now Tuesday, and I still haven't heard back from them. The job that I was told would take a day-and-a-half is now six days and counting. And I should also mention that they have not contacted me once to let me know the progress on my car. Sadly, this is not the first time that they have shown me their lackluster communication skills or how little they value me as a client. The last time I needed them to order me a part played out almost exactly the same and ended up taking over a month before I finally got the part I needed replaced. Even though I have purchased two cars from them and have used their mechanical services several times, this will be the last time I ever give Morgan McClure my business--not only am I going elsewhere for all future car repairs, but I am also going elsewhere the next time I need to purchase a vehicle.

Finally started getting updates that they was waiting parts each time we contacted them. Then on may 23rd. They stated car was ready and fixed. We paid the 250 deductible for insurance. They have not sent a estimate to insurance or provided me with the estimate or what all they did repairs on expect they told me they fixed the bumper and replaced the converter. Then we drove the car from their barley 10 miles to Norton va. Car broke down at rual king. Where it went back into limp mode. Smelling like rotten eggs and showing the same issues when we first took it to morgan mcclure. They came to hauled it back with a tow truck same day. And since may 23rd we have not had any contact with them expect twicetime and they refuse to answer calls or text messages. So ive been contacting the insurance company each week which is state farm and they been calling morgan mcclure to get updates. They told State Farm june 24th it was an issue out of their scope and they was having another mechanic/texh to come look at it and they would have an answer by that friday. Today on june 31st state farm contacted them and was told they moved our car to a sister shop and i had no clue and no idea where my car is at. I didnt give consent nor wasnt aware they was moving our car to a different location/shop. I had zero knowledge that it was being moved. They didnt even tell state farm the location. Basically, my car is MIA. July 7th, i asked state farm location and they again had no answer for me on where my car was at. Still havent heard from Morgan Mcclure. Last we heard anything was on June 19th from them. On july 19th all they said was they was having a different mechanic to look at it because they dont know what the issue is. I understand if its something they arent trained in. ( which had been the only time they contacted us back since may 23rd . ) Then on July 12th daniel stumbled opon the car. It is located at the super service center on hawthorn drive in norton va. July 18th, had a busy week, finally got around calling State Farm. Told them my husband located our car. Gave them the address and the phone to the location. They called both morgan mcclure and super service shop. She said the lady at the super service shop sounded disgusted whatever that ment and that they told them the car has been there the last few weeks and morgan mcclure has NOT told them anything as far as what diagnosis the did, what they replaced or what they think is wrong with the car. That before they even do anything to the car they need all the paper work/information from morgan mcclure and they have yet to get anything from them. That morgan mcclure towed it to them with no information just dropped it off and that was it. How can you just tow a car, drop it off somewhere else because its out if your scope and not provide any information about the car or why your dropping it off? The first 3 months from December to February/March i did give the benefit of the doubt because it was the hoildays and we had some wild weather i mean the kids didnt go back to school till February so i understand. Im a very understanding person. But to have no contact, no updates with us. Zero communication skills what so ever. Only thing we have been told is waiting in parts , parts order was like 6 to 8 through out this whole process. Only know the only part for sure that was replaced was a converter and the bumper. So what are the other parts that was fixed? why hasnt there been any documentation sent to start farm and any documentation to us? Any service shop. Body shop. Garage i have ever went to for repairs has given me a copy of the estimate and given me a final copy of everything that has been replaced. And for me not to have neither is mind blowing. Get the car 5 months later after it being towed for repairs to have the same problems still is also very unsettling. Then to only hear back once weeks later and the second time was because we found our car ourselves is even more upsetting. This isnt okay by any means and i have done research and talked to proper channels and at this point this is a legal matter as no shop should have someones car for longer than 5 or 6 months and it seems they are prolonging it. And this can be very illegal especially with no communication, no paper work to me, insurance company or the super service shop. i have filed a complaint and sent all documentation that i have to the Better Business Bureau and also to Virginia Attorney General's Office. I will be speaking to an attorney if this process does not get any better and i will be sueing if i do not have my car soon and if my car is not repaired correctly. If i pick my car up after its been repaired again the second time and it breaks down on us again. I will be contacting an attorney that day or the next business day. i am so fed up at

I wouldn't even give them 1 star. We called and worked with someone 5 days in advanced to make sure…read morethe new vehicle was available, ready and clean. We drove 3 hours one way and within 30 seconds of looking at the recently cleaned and "ready" for us NEW vehicle, not used, but "new", the entire interior of the vehicle smelled like cigarette smoke. That's not a "new" vehicle. We opted to test drive a used vehicle they had on their lot of the same model but 1 year older and used. It still even had the new vehicle smell and looked decent other than the front tires were beyond bald. The price they gave us was MORE than the "new" vehicle they offered. They were unwilling to budge. We simply asked them to match the price and offer a 100,000 5 year power train and bumper to bumper warranty with new tires. The "new" vehicle came with a lifetime power train warranty so it wasn't like we were asking for the world. We left. So, an entire work day plus 6+ hours of driving for a "new" vehicle for nothing. I can see why now they have so many vehicles left on their lot and no patrons there to purchase.

Second, I was extremely wary of buying a used vehicle, but with the economy what it is, that's all that my budget could handle. I called the dealer and asked if the vehicle was still there. The woman I spoke to said it was and asked if I'd like to set a time to come and see it. I told her I lived 2 hours away, and I don't want to drive all the way there and then be told it was sold. I've read about this happening to many different people about various car dealers. She said they don't do business that way and it will be there. After a long drive I was pleased to find that it was there. They had it cleaned and detailed for me. I met with a salesman named David. He was very polite and didn't seem pushy at all. He was able to answer most all my questions about the vehicle. Considering that I'm not a mechanic, I inspected the car as best possible and took it for a test drive. The experience was good. I didn't feel pushed to buy it. They didn't come down as far as I'd hoped on price, but I did get it for below the Kelly Blue Book Fair Market Range. I would deal with them again.
