What a joke. The doctor walked into the room, didn't introduce himself, didn't ask my name or shake my hand, and made me feel like I wasn't worth his time. I had questions on my vision and what I am currently experiencing and he rushed me out the room without even letting me explain. Generally I respect when things move fast and efficiently, but this was jarring, especially since I had questions that I wanted to ask but he made it clear he wasn't going to answer as he was running out of the room. Went over to look at the glasses selection, and saw that he was sitting in a separate patient room in the patient chair on his phone. Rushed me through the appointment just to get on his phone and be lazy. I decided not to spend my money on glasses at this place, and it's a shame because the salesperson seemed nice and willing to help, but you would think the doctor would put in at least a little bit of effort. My recent eye appointment was incredibly frustrating. Despite filling out a detailed form online over a week prior, specifying the condition of my eyes, I was told by the nurse that these forms are not reviewed until the day of the appointment and some of my answer on the forms indicated a potential medical issue. This begs the question: what is the purpose of having patients fill out such forms in advance? After waiting for the insurance to determine coverage, I was informed by the receptionist that the doctor was unable to see me that day first because he was about to go for lunch and then see another patience and that I would need to reschedule. So, I had to take time off from work for nothing, because this office is incompetent and can't review a simple form that THEY require the patients to fill out? How unprofessional and inexcusable. It is a colossal waste of time coming to this embarrassment of a practice. Would not recommend it to anyone. I hope the doctor enjoyed his lunch. read more

Frinendly staff. Moderate selection. Over priced frames. 4 weeks and counting to get prescription sunglasses back. I had to call. They reached out to the lab they use who said the lens were on back order. Seems odd because every frame I have ordered for the past 30 years were the ones you selected off the shelf. I guess they were just for display. Ok. I guess I can understand that. However, a good company would know when their orders are late and would follow up before the customer calls. I was trying to go outside of Lens Crafters and give a smaller shop a chance. My wife got her frames back in 8 days. I guess the rest of the review writes itself. read more

I have not bought glasses from here yet, however I stopped in to request an adjustment for my glasses and the experience was excellent. Two visits and the office was very professional and the staff was most helpful, prompt and polite. I plan to return because of the customer service and their variety of eyewear selection for my families eye care needs. I have Medicare Advantage through Kaiser. They did my full eye exam and recommended a new prescription. Kaiser has a relationship with My Eye Doctor. The closest location to me is the 3155 Cobb Pkwy. I went there and they took all the necessary information. They told me I would be texted when my new glasses arrived. A month later, I called. They told me my glasses were there. I got NO text. When I went to pick them up, a new pair of bifocals, and a new pair of readers. I told them that the right eye went completely blurry when I looked through the lower part of the bifocal The new readers were perfect through both eyes. They told me to wear them for a few days to "get use to them". After 4 days of trying, there was no improvement. I went back, then they gave me a complete runaround, wasted my time explaining that it wasn't their fault. Never mind the fact mind the readers were perfect. I asked why they couldn't make the lower part of the bifocals same as my readers. They told me that was impossible, I needed to go back to my doctor and have the prescription changed, and they would be happy to make me another pair, at MY expense. They were rude, condescending, and offered no solution, other than wasting more of my time, and money. I see no reason to return to them at this point. read more

This location is horrible! They don't review your chart before the visit! I have one eye ( you can clearly see that)! I ask the doctor why does this pain keep occurring and she states "idk I wish I had a better answer for you!" she looks in my eye, and then writes a prescription. and thats it! I Then ask her should I go see a specialist and she says oh yes maybe! Why wouldn't you suggest that as a health care professional? Why am I asking you anything??? Then someone helped me look at glasses and was patient with me through and through. They never tried to sell me something I didnt need and were more interested in helping me than making a profit. This is a belated shout-out and thank you to Cumberland Pointe, who "saved Christmas" without being grinchy. I was in Atlanta over Christmas, and managed to forget to pack an extra left contact. Unfortunately I wear a non-standard contact because of my astigmatism. Unable to wander the city with vision corrected in only one eye, I desperately started calling places to see if they could give me a sample contact to get me through vacation. This was the only place that not only had a good match for my weirdo eyeball, but didn't mind that giving me a sample contact even though I didn't buy a box of contacts from them. (NB Optometrists can't sell sample packs, but they can make you purchase something else!) Based on their helpfulness and excellent customer service for a non-resident, non-customer, I can only imagine how awesome they would be if I actually bought something there. If you have eye needs, get thee to Cumberland Pointe. read more

This is where I get my glasses, contacts, and my eyes checked. The Doctors here are professional and helpful. Their sales people are nice and helpful. It depends on who you get. In my years going here, I had a few sales people who were a bit douchey. But I didn't see that person anymore recently. My current sales person was a lot better and friendlier. Their glasses selection is big. They have high end brands like D&G, Prada, Gucci, etc down to the cheap-o brands. The salesperson actually recommended me a middle-of-the line brand that looks good and functions well. The prices for the glasses seem overpriced, but that's how it is at these Eye Care centers. The parking is abysmal during lunch time due to Moe's, Doc Green's, Shane's Rib Shack, and a bank being in the same shopping center. So I suggest you to not come during lunch. The parking lot is small and packed. Other than that, I'm satisfied with this place. read more

I unfortunately broke my glasses, and needed a pretty quick turnaround for either a new pair or contacts. I came in with no expectation, and was vastly surprised. Everyone had such an incredibly positive demeanor and they fit me into the schedule to help me out. The salesman Dustin Wilkes helped me find a pair of very nice glasses, and his expertise were exceptional. The doctor at the office did a tremendous job as well, but I am so thankful for Dustin and his help. I am horrible at decision making at times, and Mr. Wilkes gave me endless options and support throughout the process. Within days I received my orders, and I will definitely be returning to this location whenever I need anything related to my eyes. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for not overly priced optic care with a very friendly staff! read more

This location cares more about PROFIT than their patients. I should have listened to the other reviews. Dr. Watson was wonderful. But like so many of the other reviews, the staff was unhelpful and deceiving. I was told that a service and associated fee was required by Georgia Law. I asked to see the law and was told, "No." So I looked up the law myself. When I disputed that the service and fee were not required by Georgia law, I was then told it "might not be Georgia law, but it is corporate policy." There is a big difference between Georgia law and corporate policy. Bottom line is that this place cares more about squeezing every penny out of you than it does caring for you as a patient. With so many other optometry options out there, find a place that cares about you and not corporate profit. read more

I was a new patient here and came in for an appointment. I called to let them know I'd be a few minutes late. Once I arrived I filled out new patient forms and was seen right after. This was a very pleasant experience. The entire staff was polite and helpful. From the eye exam to selecting a pair of glasses they were attentive and polite. Even though they were experiencing technical issues when attempting to order my glasses the service was so good I didn't even mind. Will definitely be returning for my eye care needs. Went to this eye doctor a couple of weeks ago for a routine vision exam, new in the area, new to this doctor. My doctor changed my contact lens prescription that I'd had for the last 10 years. I wear the contacts a couple of times, and my right eye swells up and becomes extremely painful. I make another appointment to get the eye seen about, and the same doctor who prescribed the new contacts advises me stop wearing contacts until the eye feels better and also to USE A HARD BOILED EGG to get the swelling down. I'm scared to go back, lest I'm told to sprinkle parsley in my eye to relieve cloudiness, or dunk my face in olive oil to relieve redness. So I'm back at work, with the same swollen, painful eye, but I'm $44 poorer. Avoid this place. read more

I called on Thursday, was given a next day appointment and had an excellent experience overall. Walked out with a new prescription for contact lenses and glasses in under an hour. The charges were explained to me, the staff helped with price matching my contacts and even adjusted/cleaned two pairs of glasses I had purchased from a totally different store. Everyone I spoke with was pleasant and helpful from the front desk, to the tech, the doctor himself and the associate who helped me order my contacts afterwards. They even gave me some contacts to wear until my order arrives within the next 5 days because I was completely out. I will update if there is a problem with the contacts order and them letting me know they have arrived, but for now the review is definitely five star worthy. Thank you! read more

Horrible experience under new management will not use this clinic again -they used to be great but not any more - they got my prescription wrong 3 times and then refused to refund me for my lenses so that I could get them made correctly somewhere else. I've ordered several pairs of glasses through them over the years. It seems like they get the lens order wrong as often as they get it right. I've had to go back multiple times with problems. They get everything fixed in the end, but I leave feeling like a jerk for forcing the issue. I've given them more than one chance because they're close and they're a local business. Their selection of frames has greatly improved in the past couple of years, and they have lots of funky and trendy options. The doctor is a super nice guy and makes an effort to reach out to the patients. Doug seems to be the only person on the lens and frame side who knows what he's doing, and I've appreciated his attempts to make things right for me every time. Too bad everyone else I've worked with has been awkward or incompetent. read more

Went in for my annual per their reminder email. When I went to checkout I was told I don't have benefits for this year. My last exam was the year before, but for some reason they used another date. Now I just received a $40 outstanding bill over 120 days old. Had the same number and address. The bill is not itemized and this location requires payment at the time of service. So a bill that's a year old and no explanation. Well this is obviously my last year with this place. read more

After my favorite pair of glasses broke to the point of a hella expensive repair, I went searching far and wide around the city for new frames. I'm really glad to have found Cumberland Point because I had a very good experience buying my new glasses there! They're located in a tiny strip mall with a few busy quick-serve restaurants that neighbor this business. TIP: Save your sanity and visit this locations before or after lunch rush because finding a decent parking space otherwise: fuggitaboutit. Nice, well-lit location with good natural and indoor lighting, including a very clean restroom with little decorative touches. Anyway, I actually made a quick visit to this shop to just browse their selection before I started the actual shopping process. Although I didn't get my exam here, the staff was just as helpful on all of my shopping visits as if I had. They have a nice range of pricing and styles - nothing is cheap (or cheap-looking) but the mid-range priced frames were just as fashionable to me as their Pradas and D&Gs. It was just a large enough collection to not feel overwhelming. They also had handheld mirrors, which was an extremely nice touch for those of us who are WAY blind without our prescriptions! I didn't feel the guy who helped me with frame selection during my shopping visit was as helpful in terms of feedback on the look or sizing of the frames as I've experienced in some of the other optical shops around town, but he was still very cordial and I wasn't feeling pressured into a purchase at all. I also had to knock off a star from this review because he gave me one price (while staring right at my insurance benefits), but I was given a different price when I went back to their optical and completed my purchase with a different (but very helpful) woman. Consistency is key with my FSA dollars, yall. The purchase process was mostly a breeze - I bought on Friday and was stylin in my new specs today (the immediate following Wednesday). I have shopped many different opticals around Atlanta but this was a very smooth shopping experience. If you're in the market for new glasses and want to be able to try on a bunch of different styles, definitely put Cumberland Point on your list of places to shop. read more

I live in Decatur and it's still worth it to drive to Cobb County to see Dr. Walker. I'd probably drive down if I moved to Chattanooga! Dr. Walker is a fantastic listener with great advice. I have terrible eyesight and he always gives me great options to ensure I'm comfortable and happy with my contacts. This is my quickly becoming my new favorite optician. I have been coming here for the past few years to get contacts and Dr. Walker has been great every time. He is very personable, patient and knowledgeable. I love that he takes a peek at my folder before my appointment and comes in and asks me how has work been at (insert job name), etc etc. I've never had a Dr do that before. I started bringing my mom last year and she liked him, so he is now her eye Dr. This year I decided to get my glasses from him for the first time. There was a little snafu at the lab and my glasses did not pass inspection when they got to his office. Since that was no fault of his office I will not let that affect his five star rating. read more

Since this became My Eye Dr, the service is horrible. The doctor is still good, but the section where you pick out frames and get them adjusted was one of the most terrible experiences I have had, and I have been getting and wearing glasses for 30 years. When I asked them to adjust the frames so they would sit on my face right, I was told my face was lopsided, I would just have to deal with what they gave. Then the lens almost popped out, so they had to be sent back, and when I got them back, the frames were ruined. I ended up getting a refund, which I had to call about when they didn't send It on time. So all around horrible service. It was so outrageously bad, I thought I was being punked. But no, it was real. Save yourself, don't go here. read more
