High energy high-octane Nightlife meets fine dining makes for a perfect celebration for the senses. Walking in you're greeted by a doorman, the feeling never ceases to be electric when you are ushered through velvety red carpet and security rope by a suave but imposing bouncer. You walk in and everyone is smiling, why wouldn't they be? They're beautiful... everybody's beautiful here. This is Miami of course. The lights are low but the Decour is from another century... somewhere in the not too distant future, ultra modern and more hip than I deserved. I was seated near the kitchen which usually has connotations of pots and pans clinking and distracting noise but this open kitchen design and the beautiful chef staff made my friend and I comfortable and happy with our seating. We started with a few appetizers, the Chilean Seabass just melts in your mouth, it's prepared absolutely perfectly and the popcorn shrimp dish is perfectly crispy and succulent. Course after course arrived and we felt like Kings bathes in deep house music, beautiful people around, everybody smiling, happy, partying. Been here a couple times. Never got a chance to review it. This is located in south beach- has valet parking- could be challenging finding parking in the area unless your local1 good spot to Uber to. Gives you a small club vibe - extremely loud music- so you won't be able to do much talking- couches literally vibrate from the music but that's the vibes- classy club decor. Nobody really dances - maybe at their own table you will see some woman twerking if that- but not really a dancing place. More of eat some overpriced small mezes- have a cocktail and vibe with your friends. I've tried most of menu and I think it's great-enjoyed everything I ate. Would recommend this spot for pregame to your night out for cocktails (yes , they have tajin) and apps- the sushi/ sashimi I enjoyed. We went to Myn-Tu our first night in Miami and I absolutely loved it. It is a perfect place to celebrate a birthday or go out with a group of friends. The music was SO good! Every song the DJ played, was perfect. When you order: The Seabass skewers are a must. They melt in your mouth and have a hint of sweetness. The tuna taco and the wontons were not my favorite but I am a pescatarian so there's only so much I can order! They have a club next door called Mynt, if you want to go after dinner, ask your waiter and they'll let you through. Had dinner there with a big client. The host had no idea where our waitress was to take our order. As an hour goes by a lady that looked stress came by and got our drinks. 45 min later she came back and took Down our food order. I ordered couple champagne bottles and she also pour one glass and I didn't see thaT bottle till another 35-45 min later. it took over an hour to get our food and drinks when the place was 1/4 filled. Great atmosphere, very lively, fun & loud music. Food was delicious. Very small inside. Wouldn't recommend sitting in the bar area as it's just a very small space. Monday's they have a little "show" I believe it's just a dancer. We went on a Saturday night, wasn't that busy but still fun. Would definitely go back & recommend! Very unique place that is basically a high end night club that includes full meal service. If you have the cash and don't care to spend it this will make for a fun night. However, if you are looking for a great meal or eating experience you'd be better to pass. The food was good - and in some cases actually really good - but you are paying a premium for the experience for "good" Food. They sure do like truffle oil i can tell you that. We did the 150 a person (yes that's one hundred and fifty) chefs dinner. It was plenty of food but I've had much better tasting menus. But again you are looking at a 50-100 percent premium for the south beach scene and the unique environment. The service was pretty terrible too considering we are paying for it. I'm not looking for anything special mind you. But when we drop 2400 for 8 people I'd at least expect to have great service. Things like timely clearing of the plates, being attentive to wine glasses, bringing one course over another, cold food or food that seemed to sit too long, etc. Al that said I'm giving 3 stars because food was maybe a 4 star but relative to price and with poor service it's just not worth it. The ambiance is great but it honestly doesn't go much farther than that. We sampled many items from the menu, but unfortunately everything fell short of what we had hoped for this establishment. The plates are more considered a licking dish as there is only enough for the tip of your pallets. The dessert was hard which we could tell was just pulled out of a freezer of some sort then decorated for show as though someone slaved away in the kitchen to make it. The tab, although was high $250 for about 4 items off the menu was not an issue. You should expect to pay a good penny when you are on Sobe, however, the food did not deliver and that is what made the experience a 1 star. read more

This place is a travesty. Service was decent but this has got to be one of the cheesiest restaurants I've ever seen and eaten at. From the LED lighting to the crappy dance music, this place does all it can to distract you from the shitty food being served here. Needless to say, the lighting is dim so you can't see your food. LOL It aspires to achieve the energy of a Tao, but serves up food worse than a hole-in-the-wall sushi joint in a scary alley. We went there on Monday by recommendation from our vip concierge from W hotel. We were looking to have a nice time with dinner and dancing. Well the place is beautiful. Staff super friendly. They had performance and it was nice. We had one cocktail, tuna tartare, sea bass and one sushi roll . Our bill was $170 . Wow ! Unreal. Also crowd was mainly groups of very young ladies. Not many couples. Music was great but not much dancing happening. So we left about 12. Not sure if we stayed later things would pick up . I do not think I would go back. Underwhelming. Had dinner here about 3 weeks ago with friends , on a Friday at around 8pm . I had expected , per my yelp research that we were all in for a treat . Not at all. Server was great and tended to us the entire night . Here's what we ordered : Baked king crab leg Salmon & Otoro sashimi Crispy baby bok Choy Sautéed mushrooms Salt & pepper river prawn Steamed truffle sea bass Tomahawk steak Of all those items , the only one that I can say was especially good was the baked king crab. Tender and perfectly cooked served in its own shell.... a total hit with me . Ill give some details on our least favorites: The prawns were terribly over cooked and hard to eat , and came out luke -warm , not hot . The flavor was okay, nothing that made my palate go , wow! And last and surely least , The tomahawk. We ordered it medium . Because if you like a good piece of meat , getting it well done almost complete destroys the protein. You can take a look at the picture I've attached and you can see that was cooked completely , and not pink in the center . Upon advising our server of this , we decided to not have it redone and we received shots for the inconvenience. I believe it was watermelon juice and tequila (maybe) , super tasty! So that put a smile on our faces . Over all though, I'm not excited at the thought of returning , so we will see what the future holds . Just be aware, the food may not be five stars as indicated by these previous yelp reviews . This is my own experience and in no way affects what yours may/ may not be if you visit. I wanna start with the customer service being very attentive and super friendly- which I think is very important and part of a good experience. Yeah, you sit in close quarters, but it really isn't that bad. The atmosphere is very energetic and club-esque. It's perfect for a pre party. Lots of music, lights, and drinks. Was in town for a business trip. Found this place on yelp after a night stroll. I rarely give 5 star rating but this restaurant had everything I would expect out of a restaurant I would want to eat. Great ambiance, great customer service, and of course my favorite Japanese food. We tried the lobster tacos which was divine. But the lobster roll is a must try. Great experience at Myn-Tu! We had reservations at 10 pm on Thursday. The place was busy with amazing energy. We had a delicious cocktail at the bar and the friendly Selina sat us at a nice round table. I was very pleased to meet Yung (Former Nobu) again, he used to take care of me at Nobu Miami. He explained that the menu was a mix of Japanese and Vietnamese dishes with a French touch. Makes sense since he is French Vietnamese and ex Nobu. I was not disappointed in the Hamachi jalapeño and the rock shrimp was exceptional. The Saigon Nems were delicious, the Wagyu Steak flambée was amazing with the truffle rice. Around 10:30 the place was full with a beautiful crowd and the DJ was great. Even with the craziness of the room, the service and the food were on point. We were excited to go since we live in Miami and we had never tried it. For some reason our waiter Lucas thought it was necessary to tell us 15 minutes into our time at the table that if we weren't ordering a whole dinner that we needed to leave. Then the hostess came to say "I'm not saying you have to leave, but you can only have a table if you eat dinner." At this time our bill was already $167. We had planned to eat more and order a bottle, but at that point just wanted to leave. Somehow, it still took them 30 minutes to get us the bill. We had 2 of their orchid cocktails and were charged $89. So just be prepared to spend some $$$, but we had a great time dancing. The DJ played everything from house to hip hop to latin. High quality, high concept Asian fusion food, we ordered several small plates and shared them.
