We came here for the first night of our honeymoon and it was PHENOMENAL. We were so impressed. We got the yellowtail roll recommended by our wonderful waitress, Ayelen, the crispy salmon roll, and the butter krab roll. The best sushi we've ever had. This sushi spot was very refreshing for lunch, and we noticed there is a lot of different choices for rolls that you can choose from on the menu. The apps and mains are also very diverse, and the service was accommodating because there wasn't many other tables in the restaurant. I stopped by the Miami Beach location on a HOT summer day after paddle-boarding with one of my girl friends. It happened to be National Sushi day and Pubbelly had a pretty nice special- free butter crab roll! Had an amazing meal here with my sister. She was staying at the Standard and wanted to go somewhere in the area. We just ordered little dishes to share, and refreshing mocktails (reminded us of green juice- great palate cleanser). EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing- my pictures speak for themselves. It's hard to choose a favorite but mine was the lobster donuts. What made this meal special was the attention to detail with the food. So once again, we tried to give a sushi spot a go at it. (I'm starting to think we're gluttons for punishment!) But back home, with such good quality and very affordable prices, sushi was our favorite dine out meal. We came upon this place on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't bust at all (only 2 other tables with customers). I don't know if the others were regulars, but I noticed our servers at their tables laughing & talking to them quite a bit, while we were often left to fend for ourselves. The food LOOKED amazing, but it lacked flavor. I was really disappointed in the gyoza: there was four of them, they were very small and mushy; not acceptable for $16 dollars, not acceptable at all. Such a shame that the service and management were such disasters because the food was AMAZING but they really dropped the ball. We let them know we were celebrating a 30th birthday when we made the reservation and let them know again when we walked in. Great they took us to our table outside which they let us choose. We ordered our food and my friend went into the bathroom to order a round of sake shots as a surprise. She told the waitress on her way to be subtle and made it clear it was for a birthday. Instead, someone comes out and outright asks if we ordered a round of sake shots, to which the birthday girl, not knowing about her SURPRISE, said no. My friend then had to go in AGAIN and tell them, even though they had already ruined it because we all now knew about the round of sake shots. She explained it had been ruined but they said they would send over a free dessert instead as an apology. Check comes along and guess what we were charged for? The dessert. Anyway, that really soured our experience as they just kept dropping the ball. This is a pretty trendy and happening restaurant. Cool vibe and really good Happy Hour menu daily from 4-6 pm! Service can be a bit slow and somewhat delayed times, but pretty decent overall. I tried out all of their HH cocktail drinks: Lucky Cat, Teasy Bear, and Milky Way. They are all sake-based and have lychee pearls in them which makes it fun to drink. Out of all of them, the Teasy Bear was my favorite. Milky Way was my least favorite because of the creamy milk taste that I wasn't too fond of. The Lucky Cat was good too, but a bit difficult to get all of the pearls from the cat-shaped cup. Super cute though! For food, I got the Spicy Edamame, Japanese Fried Chicken, Navarro Salmon Roll, and Big Eye Tuna Roll. The Spicy Edamame was a nice change with the addition of heat. Not overwhelming and just the right amount. Much more interesting than your traditional edamame with sea salt. The Japanese Fried Chicken was pretty tasty. It came with some furikake (seaweed flakes) on top and served with a thick and savory peanut sauce. The sauce really made it for me! The Navarro Salmon Roll was my fave! Really tasty covered with a sweet eel sauce and topped crunchy fried onions. Super delish and will get this again! The Big Eye Tuna Roll was good too, but on the heavier side. It had crispy fried rice rectangles with fresh mashed tuna on top. Indulgent with good texture. Overall, this place is a great one to visit if you're in town! I've been dreaming about this place since I first visited Pubbelly's Brickell location 2 years ago. It did not disappoint. Now, I was traveling in Miami for business and I'm super paranoid about dining out, so I placed an order through grubhub for pickup. I will not be able to comment on the in-restaurant dining experience, but as far as a pick up order goes, it was super-easy and hassle free. This location was very walkable from my hotel and I'm really glad I opted for take out because there were quite a few people dining inside as well as out. The great thing about the takeout was it was carefully packaged and everything about the food was delicious! The packaging that comes with the food is sustainable and compostable. Also, if you haven't prepaid for your order, they do offer a touch less payment where you scan a QR code on the receipt. Back to the food. I ordered the Tuna Pizza, which is sublime and quite possibly one of the best things I've ever eaten. It's a tortilla with garlic aioli, tuna and truffle oil. It's magnificent and even ordering it to-go, did not finish it's radiant tastiness. I also ordered the butter krab roll- it's like a symphony for your mouth- now truth be told, the drawn butter did solidify by the time I reached my hotel, but that's just the nature of that beast. It was still incredible and I'm just grateful I was able to partake in this delicious meal in the safety and comfort of my hotel room without feeling like I was compromising. This is a 3.5-star review. There were some big wins, and some disappointment. First off, we started with the Tuna Pizza. This was an under the radar victory. Nice, fresh, light. A perfect way to start the visit. From there, we moved to the Bigeye Tuna. It was a unique take on a sushi roll, and had a hint of sweet with the spicy tuna. It's not my favorite, but was still a solid effort. The big disappointment for us was the Naughty Lobster Roll. It's their most expensive roll, and honestly even borderline edible in my opinion. The flavor is more old fish than rich lobster. This leaves the two biggest wins: 1) the Yoshitomo Blonde Ale is fantastic. 2) the Butter Krab Roll absolutely lives up to the hype - simple yet rich and tasty! Order two! read more

I've been to Pubbelly many times and for some reason had never left review, but I will tell you they are one of my fave. Some of my favorites are of course the Butter Roll and the Crunchy Salmon Roll. This time around I actually had dessert, which I normally don't do and I cannot remember the name, but it was Coconut bread pudding dessert that was absolutely delicious. They have great happy hour deals, but be sure to call in beforehand so you the know the times bc I believe they have changed. My only complaint about this location is that the service is sometimes mediocre, never bad, but I've def gotten servers that just seemed less than enthusiastic a few times. I've been a fan of Pubbelly at the Aventura mall for years and frequented Sushi Samba for all the years it was on Lincoln Rd. When family came to visit from out of the country and asked to meet up for dinner in Miami Beach, we recommended Pubbelly! We had 7:30 pm reservations made on Open Table and were seated promptly. Our server, Margarita was incredibly nice and fast to get us our drinks, orders, and refills and was very attentive. We started off with a mocktail, the fu-manchu cocktail, and a beer and water for the table. Margarita was constantly refilling our waters the entire night and refilling the bottle for the table. For appetizers, we started with the short rib and truffle dumplings and some shitake bao buns, which were all super delicious with my only complaint that the dumplings were a particularly small portion for the price. We then ordered a crispy salmon roll, Waygu beef tartare roll, Navarro salmon roll, sake aburi roll, and acebichado lobster roll, followed by a repeat order of the Navarro salmon and acebichado lobster roll. The sake aburi and lobster rolls were new to me and were both delicious! The sake aburi was my favorite and if you've had the butter crab roll, this is basically that roll with rice and salmon and was phenomenal. The lobster roll was delicious and full of flavor, definitely a Peruvian fusion roll. My mom went to the restroom at one point and by the time she came back we had ordered another roll and received it, that's how fast they were! We ended the night with a mason jar dessert, that comes with salted caramel, strawberries, and a matcha custard and we literally ordered it because other tables did and we wanted to try "the green thing". There was a great balance of flavors, although the mason jar concept made it a little hard to eat all the components together. We sat outside which was a great decision because the music inside was so loud, I can't imagine how people were communicating in there without shouting. I recommend requesting an outdoor table. Overall, just as good as the Aventura location and very glad we got to try some new items. Our server really tied the whole night together! My go to staple at pubbelly is always the buttercrab roll is my all time favorite and definitely number one, it never disappoints. The Edamame is so fresh and al dente, and the Wedge Salad is refreshing with a delicious creamy ginger dressing. For rolls, I go for the Spicy Veggie Roll and the blend of avocado and ponzu really makes this roll in a perfect not too dry texture. One thing about veggie rolls is that if they don't have anything creamy or sauce of any kind, they tend to be very dry; however; this one is perfection!
