Tuna Sushi

This sushi spot was very refreshing for lunch, and we noticed there is a lot of different choices for rolls that you can choose from on the menu. The apps and mains are also very diverse, and the service was accommodating because there wasn't many other tables in the restaurant. We chose a roll that was a cooked Salmon Roll with Mozzarella, that was interesting, the better one was the regular Salmon roll. Great spot for lunch.

Came to visit a friend in Miami and we've been to this restaurant several times. Always so good & it's a pretty chill/easy spot. This time we ordered the shiitake bao buns to share and I got the yellowtail roll for my main. Both very flavorful & would definitely order again.

Love Pubbelly we always get our favorite waiter Chad. Food was outstanding tonight. If you haven't been try Pubbelly Miami Beach

Food was quite disappointing contrary to the reviews here - Yelp, you misled us! -bigeye tuna was described to us as "crispy rice" on top instead of the entire roll being fried -taste of the yellowtail was predominately yuzu and the flavors were overpowering -the fried kimchi had maybe 2 bites of pork belly in it and it was mostly rice and peas Service was fine - nothing spectacular, but it was not what we expected when we initially came here Would look at other sushi places and pass here.

I stopped by the Miami Beach location on a HOT summer day after paddle-boarding with one of my girl friends. It happened to be National Sushi day and Pubbelly had a pretty nice special- free butter crab roll! What a nice gesture :-) I wish I remembered the server's name, he was so helpful and recommended 2 rolls options AND a delicious rose-sangria cocktail! It was not too sweet, but fruity & refreshing, one of the best I've tried (This cocktail is not listed on the regular menu, it was a weekend special). The food & service were great, I would definitely visit this location again when @ the beach!

Had an amazing meal here with my sister. She was staying at the Standard and wanted to go somewhere in the area. We just ordered little dishes to share, and refreshing mocktails (reminded us of green juice- great palate cleanser). EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing- my pictures speak for themselves. It's hard to choose a favorite but mine was the lobster donuts. What made this meal special was the attention to detail with the food. The space was nice as well, clean, friendly staff, waiter was prompt but we would have liked if he was more chatty :) I've been living in Miami Beach for 15 years and my sister is furious that I've waited until now to introduce her to this place! Def more of a locals vibe than the touristy places on nearby Lincoln road. 10/10

$9 for a small mocktail (no alcohol), but I must say it's pretty good.

So once again, we tried to give a sushi spot a go at it. (I'm starting to think we're gluttons for punishment!) But back home, with such good quality and very affordable prices, sushi was our favorite dine out meal. We came upon this place on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't bust at all (only 2 other tables with customers). I don't know if the others were regulars, but I noticed our servers at their tables laughing & talking to them quite a bit, while we were often left to fend for ourselves. The food LOOKED amazing, but it lacked flavor. I was really disappointed in the gyoza: there was four of them, they were very small and mushy; not acceptable for $16 dollars, not acceptable at all. Needless to say, we spent $100 dollars and walked away still hungry.

I am still thinking about the yellow belly tuna and the sushi pizza. Such fresh seafood and unique and delicious combinations. We ordered a bottle of white wine but the waiter took it upon himself to charge us per glass since it was less expensive during Happy Hour. Great service and we really appreciated this small gesture.

Pubbelly is my favorite restaurante for sushi rolls, the crab roll and sake aburi is so good! The taquitos also is amazing. I love the service they are always so fliendly

My husband and I had a delightful meal here on the patio. The location is in a new area of Miami Beach for me that I do not know well at all. I also noticed quite a few other restaurants in the same vicinity that I also want to try. The food was fresh, flavourful and the service was top notch.

Loved the sushi and outdoor dining experience! It's a place that's meant to be shared so order a bunch of items - which is good considering everything on the menu looks amazing. The tuna pizza and big eye tuna are upgraded with a truffle oil that adds so much delicious and satisfying flavor. The butter krab roll is just a must order. I will definitely be back to make it through the menu and also for their 4p-6p happy hour.

Crispy Salmon, Buttercrab, and Navaro Salmon rolls

Easily a 5-star experience during happy hour for us. We got to try multiple sushi rolls, sit outside and watch the supercars roll by, and enjoy a sake cocktail. The food: - Buttercrab Roll: Probably the most decadent food we had, so tasty and I wish we could eat this all the time. - Navaro Salmon Roll: A really good salmon roll with a spicy kick to it. - Crispy Salmon Roll: My second favorite sushi with the perfect crispy outer edge and flavor packed each bite. - Japanese Fried Chicken: The most tender chicken my wife or I had ever had. You have to try this! This place is a must if you love sushi. Its reasonably priced and all of our food and service was great. I think it might be the best sushi I've ever had and sushi is my favorite food!

Rockshrimp Tempura - traditional style.
Linda E.

Came here for a quick brunch with a friend around 11:45am on a Sunday- our server was attentive and items arrived quickly from the kitchen. Ordered a ginger tea which comes in a sharing-style pot and was the perfect temperature - piping hot! Nothing quite as frustrating as having your tea get cold mid-meal :) Shared the roll and the rock shrimp, but our favorite was definitely the butter crab roll. The bao buns were well made & filling, however my friend commented that she was not a fan of the pork belly being fried. The music was honestly better fit for a Friday night than Sunday morning (kind of loud and intense) , which sounds like fun- but not really. If you're with a friend or want to talk then ask for a table outside.

What time is Happy Hour?

4-6

It looks like there is a cocktail menu but many of the reviews say its beer/wine only. Is there a full bar?

They make their cocktails with wine and sake. There is not a full bar.

Does the menu constantly change? I read that they have pastrami & sauerkraut dumplings. But I don't see it listed anywhere.

The menu here does change. I believe it changed within the past 2 months

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance and location created the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The food truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Miso Black Cod -- it was phenomenal and had the same rich, buttery texture as Chilean sea bass. Absolutely delicious. The Wagyu Burger was also outstanding -- freshly ground, high quality, and cooked perfectly. We also tried one of their sushi rolls topped with miso and filled with fresh tuna and salmon, and it was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Our server (I didn't catch her name -- an Asian woman, possibly in her 40s) was wonderful and made our experience even more enjoyable with her attentive and warm service. We truly loved this place and are already looking forward to coming back, especially to explore more of their sushi menu. Highly recommend!

They need to be a good sushi place to survive in this area but again like most places in the area charge 20% gratuity. This makes employees feel entitled and lose motivation to give good service. These are subsidies for the company to pay employees. The ambiance is actually good for this area. I would give 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable or if they actually had spectacular food. In any other city this would be decent sushi at half the price.

I went with a dear friend for his birthday at Nossa on Thursday and had an amazing time. The entire…read moreexperience was definitely one to remember. The environment of the restaurant is dark and mysterious, edgy and luxurious, which elevated my anticipation of the meal to come. The complimentary glass of champagne was a nice welcome. When it was time to dine, all the guests for the evening were led down a low lit hallway to the dining room. When the frosted glass doors slid open, they revealed a beautiful chef's table situated in the center of the room. All the lighting, colors, and decoration point your eyes toward the chef as if he was on a stage. The restaurant is small, only a few seats around the table. This was nice because you get to know about your fellow guests. Everyone in attendance was so fun and personable. Now for the food. I will confess, I do not normally even like sushi or crave Asian food of this style. However, I loved every dish that was served to me. They hit all the senses - sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Other reviews have gone into detail about the various dishes and how good they are so I don't need to. I just want to echo those points and simply express gratitude to the chef for opening my horizons to enjoy these dishes I would not normally have. The showmanship is just right. The chef jokes with the guests and shows off his techniques but there is nothing kitschy or cliché about it. If anyone is concerned about that, let me allay your fears. There were three birthdays being celebrated that night, one of which was my friend's. The restaurant treated us all with a delicious coconut ice cream topped with caviar and finished with a cloud of gold dust. Seeing my friend light up from the gold dust finish made me so happy. Everyone who had a birthday walked away feeling extra special. Finally, a word about cocktails. The Japanese whiskey old fashioned was stunningly good. I had two of them. They source some very old and rare Japanese whiskeys to make their cocktails so they were certainly special. Would I recommend Nossa to others? Absolutely! They limit reservations to a max of two people so go with a close friend or loved one on a special occasion. It was be an experience you both remember and cherish.

Highlights: * Ultra luxury Omakase…read more* Starting at $295+++ per person * An exciting and exclusive experience dinner and a culinary "Show" Omakases in the Miami area have become almost as common to find as Lamborghinis and Ferraris on South Beach lately and high end venues where you can easily beg for the right to pay in advance and spend over $1,000 ++ per couple for dinner with wine or sake, tax, tip and extras, are becoming quite common. If you're going to drop a grand or two for dinner you are 1. Looking for something really special, 2. Want great food, great service and a special experience, 3. Can afford it or at least for a special occasion. I can't speak to your budget but Nossa, which means "Wow" in Portuguese will provide you with a very unique experience, a "Wow". You pay for a non refundable meal on Tock, in advance. Tax, tip, beverages and extras will be paid onsite later. There are only 15 or so spots per night, 6-8 per seating. Be sure to pay attention to the email instructions. You must arrive in advance (not Miami time). Part of the fun is finding the place. You are directed to a small poke shop where it looks like you're in the wrong place. You ask the cashier for instructions. He hands you an envelope with your name on it. You open it up and it tells you how to find Nossa. There is a secret hidden entrance close by and they will ask you the password before allowing you in. The secret door opens to a small speakeasy type bar with silent movies playing on the wall and you are offered a complimentary glass of bubbles (Prosecco). You are later escorted into a beautiful room, black with red lights, Japanese lanterns, jellyfish art, a large open kitchen and a custom semi circular marble dining counter with a spot light over each guests service area, where you and a few other guests (8 total maximum) will enjoy watching the night's preparations served directly in front of you. Depending on the theme of the night the focus might be on fish, wagyu, caviar, sake or whiskey matching. Chef Max Kamakura of Brazilian and Japanese background starts the show. Expect a lot of smoke, fire and showmanship as he creates 13 or more courses for you. On our visit in August the focus was Wagyu A5, see photo of menu. We had 7 different Wagyu preparations (oyster, tartare, smoking sando, tataki, Shabu shabu, uni, lemon and chasola), with 4 nigiris and dessert. We also took them up on several additional nigiris which were $20 each ++ per person extra, adds up. There is a small wine and sake list or corkage is available for wine collectors. I found it interesting that Nossa ages their own fish. Yes certain fish can be aged if you know what your doing. And like prime dry aged beef the fish can gain amazing complexity. We tried some aged fish next to fresh and it was quite surprising. Chef Kamakura uses an array of special cooking gadgets, smokers, and at times it looks like the lab of a mad scientist or a magician. When he's done you are served in an array of unique and attractive dishes. Nossa is not for everyone, but if you're an adventurous foodie who can handle Michelin prices and are looking for a unique experience then Nossa is for you.
