We were walking around on Hollywood....and wanted dessert. Came for boba. Ordered the mango jasmine tea. Added boba. Drink was OK at best. Boba was hard towards the end of the drink. That doesn't happen to the best boba! My wife got the Korean banana milk plus boba. She liked it. Overall pricey (well it's Hollywood so it's expected. ). Overall quality OK. Would not return. Can order from a kiosk or the person in the front. We ordered from the human. Prefer human interactions when ordering boba drinks from a new place. Maybe the coffee drinks are better.... read more

My second time here and I love it. The shop is very clean and my Pistachio Cold Foam Latte was delicious. Last time I tried the Pandan Cold Foam latte and it was also delicious. Probably my favorite out of the 2 actually but everything here is good so far! Also I love how you can choose your sweetness. Customer service was amazing. So today I was able to show up if anybody was curious about the event and the detail details. I was the sacrificial lamb today lol! You can still work today through the eighth for those who are invited. Again, when I walked into the establishment, I was greeted by an angel named Brianna very soft spoken, warm hearted down to earth eye contact she was there and if you guys have the opportunity to meter you guys feel the same way the ambience was very chill subtle man a lot going on right outside of the doors of LA felt like two different worlds and the coffee was amazing along with the pastry. I truly recommend anybody who just walks in to order something. I'll give it a two thumbs up! Found my new fav coffee shop in Hollywood! My go to is the Vietnamese egg coffee as I love coffee and it's a perfect sweetness for me. It's such a cute shop and you can just order in the kiosk and service is fairly quick. The only downside is that it doesn't open until 10am but definitely would always get this if I'm craving a coffee fix. They have vast selection of drinks which I love and you can tell they have real great quality coffee/matcha! read more

being in a tourist location, i didn't expect much of the cafe as i view most of the spots near tourist locations as money grabs, but this spot was very clean, staff was nice and i think it is worth the try. they use Vietnamese coffee for their drinks which got me wired the whole day. Probably one of the best boba tea spots I've found in a while. Thought it might be a bit overhyped, but it was not. Customer service was exceptional that day, with a beautifully fresh and clean store with a wonderful ambiance, and a nice place to sit after a major amoeba haul. I decided to go here for their grand opening and specifically on Sunday they had a buy one get one free deal! I got their mango matcha latte and their mandarin orange matcha latte. Both were really good and just sweet enough from the mango and mandarin orange. The mango bits were really nice to chew on. As for the mandarin orange, it has tiny orange zest which gives the drink a bright sweet flavor. The matcha also tasted great, like good premium matcha. Personally, the mango matcha latte ranked higher than the mandarin orange matcha latte. Both were amazing though. Parking is a bit rough here but if you shop at trader joes you can get 1 hour of free parking and get yourself a drink while you're at it! The staff here are AMAZING. They were super friendly and explained what they had on their menu in full detail. Very informative. If you're in the hollywood area, I'd definitely come here! read more

Really cute spot in an ideal location, just a little down the way and across from the Pantages. I just wasn't happy with their accommodations. While their menu is expansive they don't offer customizations on a basic item, in my case I wanted a matcha tea but the worker said he was only allowed to make the matcha with milk or their non dairy substitute. Subbing out the dairy for water is an easy enough swap and one that I do at other matcha shops so it was a tad disappointing to find they couldn't do that here. If I were in the mood for a fruit tea or something along those lines I would consider checking them out again. read more

The storefront is cute and has a self serve kiosk that uses the snackpass system for placing your order. Came in because I won an instagram contest! It was already on my need to try list because a friend had recommended it! I got the Banana Iced Latte, the Pistachio Latte, the Velvet Taro Dream and the Hollywood Sunrise. They were all so good. My favorite was the banana! Overpriced for what it is in my opinion. Portions are petite and matcha has a slight chalky texture but is a good color and pretty strong. Also the strawberry puree in the strawberry matcha sits at the bottom and tastes exactly like the strawberry sunday topping at costco (i am convinced it's the same thing). I discovered MYX at the LACMA block party and so glad I did because I will definitely visit their brick and mortar. The Vietnamese Egg Coffee was exquisite. Wow! They are serious about their tea! I love to see osmanthus oolong on a menu but was even more excited to see other types of oolongs as well, with bags of actual tea waiting to be brewed instead of just powders to be mixed into milks. I ordered the osmanthus oolong milk tea 50% sweet with boba, and my husband ordered Thai milk tea 100% sweet with boba. Both were amazing! The boba itself was even notable for it's perfect chewiness and flavor. There are easily about 10 other things I want to try besides the other varieties of oolong, including some of their coffees, fruit trees, and the Korean banana milk! Solid coffee! I ordered the pistachio and it wasn't over bearing. They allow you to choose your sweetness level which is always a plus at boba shops! I checked this place out for its grand opening--conveniently located across from the Pantages at Willem Dafoe's star. I ordered the Panda Matcha Latte and the Vietnamese Egg Coffee. Both were excellent. Matcha latte had a nice Matcha flavor with no adjustments to sweetness necessary. It was smooooooth to drink. As for the Vietnamese egg latte, it is authentically Vietnamese and is just as I remember in Vietnam. Coffee flavor was excellent and the sweetness is just right. Highly recommend! read more

It's conveniently situated near Target, making it an easy stop while shopping. Glendale Galleria also offers plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The staff were friendly and efficient, and our drinks came out surprisingly fast. If you're looking to switch things up from your usual boba spot, HEYTEA is definitely worth checking out. A friend tried their jasmine pistachio drink and that was pretty good. I tried their not a margarita drink - really colorful and refreshing. Wanted to try something new, beyond what I'd normally get and was pleasantly surprised. Another friend tried one of their lattes / milk teas and thought it was alright. I do like Heytea for being a bit more tea forward and having great fruit tea drinks as well, and would stick with those drinks as well as their specials.

I ordered the literal first thing I saw on the counter and that was the Sparkling Yuzu Lemonade. Now, I've had a whole lot of lemonade since moving to LA and this just might be some of the best I've had. This actually tasted like a dessert drink to me, but it was still refreshing. It was not overly sweet, but I'd probably request even less sweetener next time. The jasmine silk boba has a fun, softer than Jello kind of texture. The staff seem friendly, though there isn't much interaction with them if you use their kiosk to place your order. The space is clean and has some benches for you to sit and wait for your order, but I don't recall seeing any tables so it's definitely a to-go kinda spot. I recommend and will come back here for boba when visiting the area again.

I don't think I've ever waited for tea to brew quite like I did when I was here - it's certainly a shock to the system to wait for a boba drink for 15+ minutes, given how fast they're usually available! - but it's delicious, and worth the wait. There's an extra element of care involved that really helps the drinks shine. Besides that, the staff was all super nice and appreciative of folks' patience, so that was a welcome element of the wait. I'll definitely be back to try a bunch of different drinks!

Personally, I do not like the Hawaiian rolls due to a slight sweetness in their bun which may have been reason for my lower rating when it comes to this order. For my wife, I got the Coconut Matcha Latte ($6.95), as suggested by the staff. I love how they layer the matcha and coconut, but be sure to take a picture quickly, as it mixes easily. If you like taking pictures of your drinks, I recommend having a friend or partner grab a table beforehand, as there aren't many good spots for photos. Rok is definitely a place I'll return to explore more of their menu. I'd like to try going there earlier in the morning to beat the lines or order ahead.

They do have a great weekday special where you get a drink, an entree and a choice of their pancakes or for an up charge, you can select one of their sweet soufflé pancake offerings. This is a great deal, but definitely very filling. I'm still stuffed hours later, but so satisfied and happy. I also ordered an iced strawberry matcha, which is also fantastic. I love the bits keep fresh strawberry that sneak up the straw every so often. We cannot wait to visit this place again. The servers were also very friendly and attentive.
