Updating my review after trying the hibiscus cream top, wow! Fruity, floral, and fragrant, it hit all the sweet spots without being overly sugary. It was nice and refreshing, and I can imagine it being the perfect thirst quencher on hot days. I recommend TU Homecafe!

Iced brown sugar Americano with cream top. So so good!

Fantastic, friendly, and a great spot to have a cup to start the day! Thank you! Did I mention it was delicious!

We had an amazing slow morning breakfast and coffe here. We played a bit of chess and had an incredible dumpling dish and tuna wrap. The atmosphere was extra cozy. We didn't want to leave. We could be here for hours. I absolutely love it here

Unfortunately, Community Goods is worth the hype and I will be coming back and waiting in line haha…read more I went for the first time a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning around 9:30am and waited 1.5 hours. The line is not for the faint of heart. I tried their matcha einspanner, breakfast sliders, and pistachio toast and all three were AMAZING. - Matcha Einspanner: One of the best matchas I've ever had! The matcha is so well balanced - you can actually taste the matcha, not too sweet, and creamy too. They also sprinkle sea salt on top which helps enhance the matcha flavor. My only complaint is that I wish the cup was bigger. - Breakfast Sliders: I wasn't expecting much from the sliders, but everyone always hypes up their slides, so I knew I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The egg is so fluffy and the sauces that come with it are so delicious, especially their hot sauced. I added bacon and avocado too and it was great. - Pistachio Toast: I feel like their pistachio toast is not talked about enough. It was so yummy and satisfying that I wish I could get another one. The toast is hearty and the pistachio spread with sea salt, olive oil, and olive oil is the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'm still thinking about their toast. Although it is quite pricey, I think the taste and quality justify the price. The interior is small and there's about 6 tables outside which is pretty crowded so you might have to take it elsewhere to enjoy. Parking is easy with metered street parking or free parking in the neighborhoods.

Community Goods is unfortunately/fortunately worth the wait for their matcha einspanners. The…read morematcha is slightly earthy, but the pleasantly salty cream foam is the real standout and what keeps me coming back. It seems like the salted foam is delivered to the store. There always seems to be a line, but their staff works very efficiently. Only a couple benches inside to sit while waiting in line. We finally tried the hyped-up sliders, but they were disappointing. The texture felt very one-note...soft, untoasted Hawaiian buns, thick fluffy egg, and even more so with the avocado we added. Flavor-wise, they were plain and unimpressive. The bacon add-on helped by adding some crispy, smoky texture. The sweet-and-sour sauce brought a bit more dimension, while the tangy mayo wasn't particularly memorable. Since Community Goods is on Melrose and close to a lot of LA hotspots, I often find myself stopping by when I'm in the area. Great matcha but the sliders aren't worth it.
