This place, hands down, has THE BEST AVOCADO SMOOTHIE!! (Trust me I've had lots.) It's the creamiest version I know of with so much flavor. (I've yet to try Mango or Coffee here but those are my other favorites.) The Bahn Mi I had here was also amazing! The bread was EVERYTHING! Without good, a Bahn Mi could easily turn into a Bahn NO! I had the chicken option and it was filed with flavorful meat and nice crisp veggies. To top it off the customer service is great as well. (Unlike another local Vietnamese restaurant that will go unnamed but can be found in Shaw's Plaza). The also have rice, plate, pho, and other food so I will be returning here often! This place is fantastic. Small, nice and clean. 4-5 tables, with only one large table. This is a great place for a quick lunch or take out. The owners, N & H, run the restaurant. They are really friendly and helpful. The food is great and really well-priced! I'll be coming back here again and again! It is a tough place to find though. If I did not see it on Yelp last night, I would not have known it existed. It is located in a small strip mall area but the signage is terrible. Even though it is a big street, you really have to know where to enter to park in order to get to N&H. But once you've found it, you'll be happy. :) read more

Saigon is great...Yummy Sandwiches and satisfying PHO. I found this place on yelp 20mins before they closed and i was 19mins away... called and the owner was more than nice enough to stay open a little longer so I can pick up my sandwich ...which I enjoyed. Went there a second time had some Pho and a beef sandwich, The perfect lunch. Everything in these other 5 star reviews is right. This little restaurant is conveniently located right off the highway. Plenty of parking. The menu is small, but robust. Service is professional, fast and polite. We ordered the tofu ban mi, shrimp rolls and udon soup with shrimp. Everything came out quickly, was fresh and at a great price. I keep seeing all these great reviews on this place of how "clean" it is and how delicious it is. So I had to try it for myself! I stopped on in on my way home from work and grabbed a watermelon smoothie! Seriously..they are not fooling around..He grabbed a huge watermelon and chopped it up and put it in that blender! Damn! That thing was the best watermelon smoothie I ever had!! Whoa! I also ordered Vermicilli noodles with Chicken. It was also very delicious! The owner was very, very nice and the menu is a bit confusing. He said if you couldn't understand anything he'll explain it. My own two minor complaints are...They need to make the menu more understandable in English OR at least have ONE menu for people to read in English. Very clean, super fresh. Very yummy -- we went and got banh mi to go since we were driving home from Boston that day. We ordered 1 pork, 1 chicken and 1 tofu and basically scarfed all the food down whilest driving back to MD. We also got 2 bubble teas, 1 jackfruit and 1 mango. First lets talk about the boba, since there really was no tea in the fruit slushy I suppose i really should just be calling it a fruit smoothie with bubbles. They use real fruit -- for things like jackfruit and mango where you may not have the fruit in stock, they have frozen cubes of the fresh fruit. The jackfruit bubble slushie was really creamy had loads of jackfruit flavor -- writing all this makes me crave more of this. The chicken banh mi was delightful. Grilled chicken yum. read more

This place is great. I am happy to find a place where I can get really tasty authentic Vietnamese food. Talking about it makes me want to go there now and not do anything productive until then. The place just opened and I want to keep going back to see what it shapes into. There's great potential I hope to be able go there for a long time. Wow! What an awesome sub shop. The food was delicious with well balanced flavors. I had the Bún Bò Hu (Spicy Hue Soup) and it did not disappoint. It was 4/5 on the spicy scale - not overpowering, but noticeable, and it had a subtle lemongrass flavor, and yummy beef and noodles. My husband got the Bánh Mì Heo Nng (Grilled Pork Banh Mi) which was also fantastic - he just corrected me, "spectacular". The pork had a great flavor, being charcoal grilled. The prices are very fair, the food to table time is super quick, and the staff are very friendly! I wish I lived closer so I could come by often. read more

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. My sisters usually pick up banhmi from here since her work is close by. They put a lot of meat in their subs - just the way I like it. Never had a banhmi from here that I didn't enjoy. I highly recommend the cold cuts as well as the grilled beef. They're definitely my top choice to go for banh mi when I'm craving one. =) read more

Stopped in this little gem for some lunch (and carryout for later!). Living on the south coast, we don't have any Banh Mi places, and, seeing as I had to bring my car up to the Acura place in Walpole for it's 45,000 mile check-up, I gave this place a go to feed my Banh Mi jones! Man, am I ever glad I did, too, 'cause this was some tasty Banh Mi. I ordered a cold cut to eat there along with a tofu rice wrap and a Thai bubble tea (that the owner tells me they brew there - no packaged stuff for him! "Everything fresh and from scratch!"). The bubble tea was, as expected, amazing, and the tofu rice wrap was soft, warm, and tasty, with just the right amount of bite in the wrap and a nicely seasoned peanut sauce for dipping. The Banh Mi ($3.75!!!) was out of this world. Crunchy, freshly baked French bread and crisp veggies, a great mix of savory cold cuts, and just an all-around wonderful sense of handcrafted goodness. I ordered pork versions of the sandwich for the wife and I for dinner, and those were even better! The pork is grilled to order over charcoal, and has a great sweet flavor with a nice touch of char from the grill. Of course I had to warm it up a bit as it'd been in the fridge for a few hours, but the bread still had great crunch and, like any good Banh Mi, this wasn't overdressed (just a smear of mayo) so there was no "sog factor" or slimy veggies. Overall, this place is excellent, and an excellent value. I mean, for the price of a terrible burger from McDonald's, you get a fresh, delicious, and HOMEMADE sandwich that stands toe-to-toe with the best Banh Mi I've had. If I had any complaints it's that I'd like a little more in terms of filling (but, for that price, one can't complain), and I wish they were closer to my house!! read more

Ok, I've been a customer for about a year now, and when they mentioned last fall that they were going to Vietnam for a an extended visit, I was beside myself. Where could I get my banh mi fix? Well, the wait is over - they are back and better than ever I'm ever so happy to report! I had a small bowl of chicken Pho, spring rolls, and a Pineapple Coconut smoothie. Oh, was it yummy!! I wanted to have a banh mi as well, but didn't have room. Guess I'll just have to go back - soon, really soon, I'm sure! Yep Hai and his wife are so hospitable, that you feel like you're their guest, not patron! While I so don't want this place to get so popular that it's hard to get a seat, it's so-o-o-o-o good and healthy, I want everyone to try it. read more

Holy crap this place is good. Had the grilled pork bahn mi. It was outstanding. Six stars.

Amazing banh mi, especially for the $4-$5 price. The bread was perfect, with a crispy crust but a soft interior that was not chewy. The grilled pork was sweet and tender and contrasted nicely with the pickled carrots. A sprig of cilantro provided a touch of freshness and the jalapeños provided that slight kick. There was a hint of spread, which seemed mayonnaise-based. Basically, almost exactly what a banh mi sandwich should taste like. I would have liked a few more pickled vegetables to balance the pork, a tad more cilantro, and jalapeños with a little more kick. But these are all minor nitpicks. In general, Randolph is a great location to get some food after a long hike in the Blue Hills. There appears to be a small Vietnamese community here with at least three Vietnamese restaurants along the main street in the town. read more

I have to withdraw the 5-Star review I gave in 2015. The pork Banh Mi sandwich was good (not great) but the roll was hard and dry to the point where it basically shattered when bitten into. We got beef over rice for our kids, and it was bland and tough. The "Thai tea" we ordered looked right (I.e. bright orange) but weak and flavorless - we couldn't taste the tea or even the sweetened condensed milk. I brought it up to the counter and they insisted it was fine. I asked if I could exchange it for an ice coffee and they said "no". We Will not be returning. read more

I love that I can drive 15 minutes to Randolph to get my banh mi fix. The menu is small compared to the usual Vietnamese place but I get exactly what I want each time. Items I have tried: Banh mi with beef, beef pho, spring rolls and fried egg rolls. The owner is friendly and talks to us every time we go there. Will keep coming! read more

We came to N&H all the way from Philadelphia while visiting a friend. I was immediately impressed by the friendliness of the husband/wine combo working behind the counter. I'm the pain in butt customer that asks a million questions before ordering, and he couldn't have been friendlier. We ordered the shrimp summer rolls (and an extra one since their were three of us), and they came with a peanut sauce spiked with spice red pepper sauce. There were delicious and a little more stuffed with vegetables, rather than noodles, than I'm used to. All three of us ordered bahn mis, and they were wonderful, but we made a mistake in not ordering them spicy. He asked, and I didn't bite on the bait, so the fault is mine. You'll find simple, fresh home cooked Vietnamese food from this place. Comfort food at its best. The bun rieu is a must try from here. It's a perfect balance of salty and sour noodle soup with tomatoes, crab, shrimp and meat. The banh mis are good too, my favorite though is the grilled chicken, I think it's a lemon grass chicken, very different but delish! Chicken is always fresh, lean and tender. The original cold cut banh mi I find a little bland, I don't know if it's the patte they use or the butter but it's not as good as other places that I've tried. I had a mango smoothie today since they ran out of water melon which was good but a bit watered down and just seemed very bare without the boba or pearls, I'm not normally a fan of boba. More flavors like lychee or Logan would be nice, even if it'd be seasonal for summer. The place is family run and the husband and wife are always friendly and nice. read more

Their foods are quite delicious. My husband loves the Banh Mi here. Especially the Heo Nuong. The Bun Rieu is good. The only thing is charging $1 per springroll is a bit too much especially for the size of the rolls. Coffee is a bit watered down. I wish it could be a bit more bitter and pure like what you expect in a Vietnamese coffee. You expect them to be bigger and more filled with fillings. Bun bo hue is good. The previous owners always provided great food and service. I used to visit this place twice a week. They were always welcoming. The new owners has not given me that same experience. I am now usually greeted with a frown or sometimes have to wait a few minutes for staff to finish a conversation with each other before I am greeted and even then I am made to feel like I interrupted them even though no other customers are there. They sometimes run out of bread and cannot sell anymore sandwiches and once did not want to sell me one plain bread roll for my soup because of the bread shortage. This place used to be 5 Stars but now I am just willing to give them 3 Stars, only because the sandwiches still taste good enough for me to visit just once a month now. read more

The restaurant is located on the main street not too far off from the highway, but the sign isn't very visible so it's easy to drive pass the restaurant. It's family owned, a little small, but very comfortable for a quick meal. The owner was really nice and took his time to give us great suggestions! We ended up ordering two noodle soups, spring rolls, and a banh mi to go. Food was impressively good and tasted very authentic! I could also taste a lot less msg in the soup, so another plus! Affordable home cooked Vietnamese food. It's a small space that is mostly geared for takeout but has limited seating to eat in. The menu carries the basics like pho ga, pho bo, banh mi, smoothies, drinks, and some che. The owner is very friendly is has always been present every time we've been there. You can easily get a meal here for less money than your typical fast food places and they are just as fast if you are in a hurry. Located in North Randolph, N&H Saigon Sub is conveniently located near 128/24 and fulfills takeout orders quickly and accurately. Nice vegetarian options: (fried) tofu banh mi with special sauce and jalapeno peppers and the fresh tofu spring rolls with generous portion of yummy peanut sauce so one can "double dip." Their grilled chicken banh mi is generous and flavorful. The chicken pho is tasty, but a small portion compared to takeout from sit-down restaurants. The daily specials/pre-packaged can be good, too. The pork and broth with hardboiled egg was sweet but not overly so or overly salty. Although I have not tried it personally, I've heard that their Vietnamese iced coffee is good, too. read more
