Large portions and very friendly workers. It's the best Indian food around. The chicken tika masala is made with white chicken and good quality meat. The naan is made fresh. You can't beat the two item combo for 11.00. It's more than enough food for two people and you will have leftovers the next day. Everything is so flavorful and enjoyable to eat. The restaurant itself has a lot of seating, but I usually take the food to go. You can order online or go in and quickly get your order via a cafeteria style line. read more

One of my favorite go to places in Redlands after work or class. I love the waft of delicious smelling curry hitting your nose the moment you first walk in. Not only are the prices great, the portion sizes are large and the customer service is impeccable. Whenever I'm craving some good Indian curry, I love coming here. Always order a la carte. Don't get too complex with your order, the staff is too authentic for that. This is mainly a to-go place, although they have everything you need if you eat there. The food is always awesome, from the curry to the naan. read more

Incredible portions, exceptional lamb curry! I ordered the Combo 2 plate with lamb curry and chicken tikka masala. Tender lamb pieces that felt both like a traditional curry and a hearty stew. It had an addictive quality. Pairing the lamb with the garlic naan was a perfect bite. Flaky, charred bread that takes this combo plate to another level. The samosas were alright. They are a great value though if you're looking to fill up. Great service. Fast, and the food is served quickly in a buffet fashion. Plenty of seating inside. I haven't had Naan Cafe since pre-covid... Ordered 2 item combo plate from doordash and got Chicken Tikka Masala and Vegetable Korma. Chicken Tikka Masala here is the same as ever - flavorless with dry chicken. Vegetable Korma used to be really good, but it was a little bland today. The rice was also not that good... It was really soft and all stuck together. Garlic naan was still up to par - soft naan like pita bread. Sad to say, I probably won't be ordering again /: My dasher also spilled a bunch of the curry... Maybe they need to invest in more secure containers. read more

When I had a recent craving for Indian vegetable pakoras, hubby took me here since he previously enjoyed food from this restaurant. Before entering the restaurant, I noticed that there was two tables available for outdoor seating as well as lots of seating inside the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the menu had a separate vegetarian section. In addition to the separate vegetarian menu section, I was happy to see that some of the vegetarian menu items could be made vegan. I appreciate that the restaurant is consistent in also noting these vegetarian to vegan options on their website. The employee who took our order was friendly and efficient. The ordering process was quick and easy. Although there was food available to eat at the restaurant hot bar, we decided to get our food to go. My vegetable pakoras were well cooked, crispy yet moist, and were flavorful. Due to the quick service and well cooked food, I definitely plan to return here the next time I'm craving Indian food! read more

Located in a plaza on Redlands Blvd. There's plenty of parking available. When we arrived no one else was here so we didn't have to wait. There was calm music of birds chirping playing in the background and a video of a family of lions with her cubs playing on the tv. This is our second visit here and we're not disappointed. We ordered the two item combo that comes with rice and naan bread. My husband is still on lent so he got a vegetable dishes. Let's just say the food was as good as we remembered. I had the chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken, while my husband had the vegetable dishes. We were craving for rice pudding for dessert, but we were told that they only make it for catering orders. Nevertheless we loved their food and will probably come back for more. read more

In the past we have generally really liked Naan Café, but they have changed. Overall, the food wasn't up to their past quality and the service was terrible. As you can see from the pictures, the takeout food was colorful and plentiful. With this meal the food wasn't as rich or creamy as in the past. The Jasmine rice was as good as ever. As an example, the garbanzo beans and chutney, which was the star with the Samosas, wasn't as flavorful and the spices were in the bottom of the container. So it had mild flavor on top and very hot spices on the bottom (if we knew that earlier we would have simply mixed it up ourselves - but too late when you are at the bottom of the container.) The chicken in the Chicken Tikka Masala was tough and the sauce wasn't the rich, creaminess of the past. Subjectively, it didn't seem the amount of chicken was as plentiful. We called our order in. When I went to pick it up, they denied having our pre-paid order and started to ring up another order. I tried to explain the situation. Again, the cashier tried to ring up another, new order. The order was placed by another cell phone - so home I went. I came back with a paper receipt (yes, they can exist and they do help - 21stcentury backup!). NOW, with this is hand, they were able to figure out that our pre-existing order did exist and was being finished. BTW, there was no apology. Something happened today on flavor and service, and it wasn't good. read more

Let me start by saying I am Indian, so I am picky about Indian food. This place has the feel of a subway on the inside, bordering on fast food, set up without the drive-through, but the food is delicious! We usually like to get the saucy dishes, things like chicken, tikka masala, lamb korma, etc. All of it is good, and they make it to your preferred spice level. My favorite thing about ordering this to take home or for delivery is the way they package the food. It has extra saran wrap over it so none of that oily greasy staining stuff will ever leak out into your car. It is a little challenging to open it at home, but I would much rather have that, then a mess in my car. We eat here probably 6 to 8 times year, and I plan to continue to do so. read more

Not an aesthetic place and the plates are not served aesthetically either but the FOOD. It's kind of like Indian fast food and it is DELICIOUS and quick! Everything is pre-cooked and they scoop it onto a plate and then you're good to go! It's also a large amount of food for pretty good prices, I got a 2 portion combo meal and ate my meal over two days and it stayed just as delicious if not more the next day! Food is delicious and affordable. Prices are reasonable because they service you a LOT! A 2-combo plate could serve two people in my opinion. I ordered that w/ my choices of the eggplant dish and cauliflower dish. The combo plate comes w/ rice and garlic naan bread. I asked for tamarind sauce on the side which is a must. I've had paneer tikka masala and shahi paneer at over 5 different indian restaurants and this location might have the best paneer masala type dishes. The pakoras are decent as well. The portions are filling and their items are cheaper than most places. The guys also gave us free nann once. read more

I thought I would try this place since it was so close to home. The service was quick and friendly. It's like a cafe-style ordering system with some items made to order. We ordered Matar Paneer (spicy) a favorite of ours and although the paneer was good the peas didn't seem fresh and it was sweet tasting and not spicy at all. The meal came with garlic naan but there was no garlic flavor to it. I was also disappointed by the rice. I think it was the first time rice had no flavor. The food didn't live up to my expectations :( read more

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because one of our drinks was the wrong order, but other than that their drinks were a hit. Our server was quick with our large order and I wouldn't mind trying other iced drinks throughout the Summer either. I ordered a hot rose cardamom latte with oatmilk which was just ok for me, my co-worker ordered an iced strawberry latte with orange cold foam ,but received an iced strawberry matcha instead. Luckily she also likes matcha and it was really good, so she wasn't that disappointed. My other co-workers ordered a hot honey cinnamon cappuccino with oatmilk, an iced golden hour from the spring menu, a cortado and a cinnamon roll. The golden hour was an iced mango lemonade topped with matcha and she loved it. The cortado tasted real authentic according to my other co-worker. The cinnamon roll shared amongst a few of us was to die for! We're definitely coming back.

Today, I decided to try a new Indian restaurant in town called Naan' Cafe. I am always up for trying something new so when Jesse, the owner, offered some suggestions I was definitely game. Let me just start by saying the food was really good, Jesse suggested the Saag Paneer which is a spinach dish mixed with a Paneer Cheese. Next I had the Chicken Tikka Masala which is chicken in a curry sauce. Along with the Naan (bread), rice, yogurt, and Achar (Pickles with a kick), the meal was very satisfying. Being not Indian myself, upon my request,Jesse was more than helpful in the different ways people will normally eat the dishes, for example do I use the Naan to pick up the food, do I eat the Achar by itself or as a spice with the other dishes, and "what is this white stuff", ends up it was a yogurt dish that was pretty good too. So yes I liked it, and yes I will be back. I am not personally of an Indian background so I can not say how this food compares to family recipes or of the like, what I can say is I know what good food tastes like, and Naan Cafe was really good. I like the fact that I was made to feel comfortable by the owner who could have stood back and let me fumble through the process of trying something new but instead I can now come back with friends and show them how to enjoy a good Indian meal. read more

I have been going to Naan Cafe since it opened. Up until 6 months ago I really enjoyed going there. I really looked forward to eating their food. But nowadays I don't enjoy it at all. The vegetables are bland and don't have a lot of flavor. The quality of the naan and tandoori roti has gone down the drain. The naan is not cooked all the way, hardly any garlic and butter. Last time I ordered the Tandoori Roti and it wasn't cooked all the way. You could see the dough same as Naan. I understand most of the time they are busy but still the food should taste good. Not sure what is happening with management, but I am hoping this review will encourage the management to look at the product they are putting out. It's not always about the revenue but also about authentic Indian cuisine. read more

I stumbled upon Naan Cafe on a weekday evening, and it turned out to be a delicious surprise. The moment I walked in, the warm aroma of spices hit me--in the best way possible. The staff was friendly and helped me decide between the chicken tikka masala and lamb korma (I went with the tikka masala, no regrets). The naan was fresh, soft, and just the right amount of chewy--perfect for scooping up every last bit of curry. I also ordered the garlic naan, which had a great flavor without being overpowering. The portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. It's a casual spot, so don't expect fine dining ambiance, but for a solid, flavorful Indian meal, Naan Cafe delivers. I almost come here on weekly basis and never been disappointing. Lunch and dinner times are packed mostly. If you are on a budget, get the combo meal with great selection of veg and non veg items. Don't hesitate to get a little sample of the combo items. If you have some time and want the real good stuff, order from the menu and you will not be disappointed. GREAT food. I was out here for business and stop by to grab some indian food. Saw the reviews and thought I would give it a try and I was glad that I did because it was absolutely delicious. The Chicken Tikka Malsa and Samosas were the best I'ev ever had. Jesse, the guy behind the register was a nice guy and was very helpful in explaining everything very well. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food lacked flavor (bland), and the service was inadequate, possibly due to a language barrier. The naan was pre-made, wrapped in foil, and ended up soggy. The channa masala was particularly disappointing, being overly watery and lacking substance. We ordered several other dishes, all of which were unsatisfactory, except for the chicken tikka masala, which was the only item that tasted acceptable. Best Chicken Masala, Samosas, and Naan bread. If you are getting the combo plate....get the three item combo which is a lot of food for under $10. Ann had the Chicken Tikka Masala, samosas and garlic naan and it was all excellent. By the end of the meal, Chef Ann was already declaring this as our new go-to Indian place. Surprisingly, I agree with her! That's unusual for me, I normally prefer home-cooked meals to eating out. We're so delighted we discovered Beyond Biryani and we can't wait to go back! My husband had the beef salad and finished every last bite. My friend ordered the panang curry, and there was a lot of it that he took the extra curry sauce home and made another meal from it. I had the larb pork, and the flavor was so authentic that it reminded me of being back in Thailand. The owner even treated us to free Thai tea, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. This place offers a great variety of dishes, and the prices are still lower than most other Thai restaurants. If you want affordable, tasty Thai food and you're not looking for anything fancy, I highly recommend this restaurant!

The dishes were very flavorful and the orders came with a bowl of rice. The service was good. Our server was nice, approachable, knowledgable, and he even knew I liked Thai Tea so he asked me if I wanted one before I sat down. The dining experience was pleasant with lightning and music creating a pleasant atmosphere. I would come back here again with family and friends.
